Breakfast was unexpectedly good. After seeing so many negative reviews, I was not expecting much. The kitchen didn't receive its shipment of spinach, so I had to skip the spinach and mushroom omelette I would have ordered. But this one was really delicious. It was packed full of vegetables and was completely delicious. Lots of veggies and avocado. I would definitely get it again. Service was also very good. Good job Willow. read more

IHOP - T-Bone Steak & Eggs - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Rapid City, South Dakota

My family and I dined here on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately, but it's not like that got us anywhere. We waited 15 minutes for the drink order/ server introduction. We waited an hour with restless kids for our food. There were only 3 other tables. I counted just one server and could see two cooks from the kitchen. Every time I saw a cook, he was chewing something or putting the food he was cooking in his mouth. Our server was polite but she brought out our food in stages. Half the party had cold eggs/ meat, undercooked potatoes, and missing sides. 2 members actually found PUBIC HAIR in their food. It was a mess. I could not even finish my meal. I was visibly upset and the server noticed. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, she only communicated with the other side of the table, and that was only when she brought the checks out. I attempted to get her attention but she avoided my side of the table like the plague. Another member of my family insisted on paying because we didn't want to stay there one more minute, so I had to let it go. This is beyond disappointing. It's gross and disgusting. I will not be taking my family here ever again. read more

Server was amazing but the place is not very clean and tables not cleaned. Food was ok. Sewer issue so horrible smell on one side of restaurant where they initially seated us. Manager on duty Matt acknowledged sewer issue but still pushed back when we asked to be moved to other side of restaurant. Mr Manager so much for being concerned about customers he was upset would need to bus extra table. read more

Service was quite slow. My order of banana and strawberries came without bananas and whipped cream, even though I asked for no whip cream. My wife ordered eggs Benedict were cooked hard as a rock . We'll never go back there! read more

Food was good but my waitress Kenzie was the absolute best. Will personally ask to be sat at her section every time.

The service was not ideal. I've watched the whole wait staff sit the whole time we were here. Very unprofessional. We waited 10 minutes just to order our drinks. read more

Our family of three arrived without a line at 11:30a.m. on Sunday Dec. 14, 2025. We were instructed that we had to wait for a table that we requested. Fine with us. Next, they became inundated with customers in line. They seated 3 tables of four ahead of us. We were a party of three, and there are only four-seat tables. Of course, we needed one, but no. So after about 15 people were seated ahead of us, we finally got a half-table which meant one side was bench. fine. Next, we sat and waited for our waitress after my guy didn't know what he wanted after tongue cancer and does not have full taste. Twice, he turned her away in about 10 minutes not knowing what he wanted. Our Waitress then served absolutely everyone in the area making us wait so long. Then comes back with a thinly veiled remark after I called her over. She says to my guy, "So, you finally made your mind up"like he was the reason her service was bad. In his recognition of her contempt, he replied benignly, "Yes, I did," throwing a knowing look at me, but strong enough for her to know she was being snotty. Next, we got our order fairly fast, but my over-easy eggs were underdone. Try that once. read more

Arrived Saturday morning around 9am. Moderately busy. Got seated right away and told our server would be here soon. No offer for water or coffee. A couple of minutes go by and the server says, in passing, that she would be back. Another 6-7 minutes and no server, no water, no coffee. We stood to leave and the server walks by and again says she would be right there. I told her I was done waiting and was leaving. It appeared that she could only do one thing at a time. She walked past us several times and never asked us anything. Third trip here since moving here and all have gone bad in some way. Wont be back. read more

The breakfast omelets were served barely lukewarm, not especially great tasting. Seen waitress two times, first to take the order then to give me the bill. Guess she didn't want to know if we were pleased with our meal or if we needed anything else. Over $4 for coffee is highway robbery, especially at the prices for each omelet. Then to put an over $8 tip charge, which I refused, would have put a 2 person breakfast over $50. Needless to say, we WON'T be back. In my opinion, any restaurant that "suggests" , "asks for" their request of a tip, is forward, rude, wrong. It should be entirely up to ME to either leave a tip based on the food and service, or not to even leave one. read more

Ate there 10/24/25....server was Vixen. Ordered t-bone dinner cooked "medium". It came very "well done". Asked for toast with extra butter as a side & it was dry/very little butter. Meal wasn't served by Vixen as she seemed to have forgotten us. Sent the meal back to & it came back cooked the same way, we'll done. I tried eating it but meat was dry & tough to chew & had to spit it into napkin. I was hungry so decided to eat the eggs, toast & has browns which were all cold by this time. My dinner partners biscuits and gravy was cold also & they received their pancakes & French toast when they were done with the rest of their meal. Overall a very dissappointing experience for me. The manager did take the steak dinner off our ticket. My opinion is they need to do a better job training their cooks & hire servers with better professional/people skills than "Vixen". read more

Mid pandemic everywhere but here... This restaurant is serving dine in and takeout customers. We arrived at 8:30am on Sunday and there was a 30 minute wait for a table. Wait in your car and they text or call when your table is ready. I kind of like that!! We were served so fast and so efficiently. All workers wore masks and most of the restaurant seating was empty to accommodate minimums. The food was great and our server was very nice. We made quick work of the eggs and hash browns before we went to badlands for a day of hiking. Build your own scrambles are my favorite. IHOP always delivers. It reminds me of the fun we had as kids on the very rare occasion we got to go when we went to the big city. read more

Awesome service. While waiting for our adult children the servers played along and gave us kids menus and kids cups. Everyone had a good laugh and a great time. Food came out at a reasonable time and tased good as well. Would definitely recommend it to others. read more

Took a long time to get seated, then waited another 8 minutes and they waited on the people who came in after us including getting their drinks. Still no one came to acknowledge us or even got us any water or drink order so we walked out. Would give no stars if that was an option read more

Pancakes too cold to melt the fake butter. Water based gravy for the country fried steak so thin you could see through it and didn't cover the top of the steak which was barely warm. Sparse amount of hash browns. They did get the eggs right, but considering I wasn't seated 25" from the kitchen food temps were really poor. Save your money... read more

Value, $4 for unbuttered toast? $4 for a Pepsi? $3 for an extra egg? My breakfast was not bad but there is no bang for your buck. The eggs were over cooked. I didn't send em back. I ate them. Party of 5 took 45 min to sit because a waitress walked out. I'm ok with all that. The server was good and the table was clean read more

Went in as a party of 5. Three of us had to leave due to a family emergency. My husband and I stayed. The server Seattle's us and said it would be just a minute. There was only one other table there so we figured it wouldn't be long. After 20 minutes we just left and went elsewhere. Never saw out server. Never got our drink order. We were hungry and highly disappointed. read more

Food was awful pumpkin pancakes bitter almost sour and so little maybe covered half plate. Waitress said those are regular size. Eggs were hard and supposed be over medium. 2nd person were to be Sunny Side up and yolk was broken. Coffee is over $4 a cup. Breakfast for 3 was, $70. Worst food ever. Have been in years and never going back. read more

Incredible service, attentive but not too attentive. Swiftly got us our drinks. Very kind, even helping in with our special requests. Very happy. read more

Horrible service. Entered the place to order take out and they said they would be right with us, but instead they sat other patrons that came in the door. They then said they would take our orders if they have time?! Blew us off presuming we were not going to tip as well...dunno. read more

Food is extremely overpriced. Perkins has better price and gives much better portions. Service was not as attentive. Overall ambiance was loud and unprofessional. Kitchen was clanging dishes and shouting orders, while servers were giggling and gossiping. read more

We went there on a busy Saturday at around 9 am and we were seated immediately by a friendly waitress. Even though it was a busy day, the food came in a short 10mins. I tried the food and it was way better than I expected it to be. It was nice and quiet inside, unlike a lot of popular places. Definitely a five star place! read more

Not sure if we waited over an hour while everyone else behind us got to eat, because we are brown or the staff just decided not to serve us until we had to ask for our food. This IHop was an absolute experience! It took 5 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant. When we were finally seated, our drinks took 10 minutes to arrive, this was in an empty restaurant. Our actual orders took 20 minutes to arrive, and we only ordered pancake combos. The toast was stale, greasy and overall unpleasant. I'm pretty sure they literally just put cooking oil on it. My blueberry pancakes tasted like pumpkin spice, the drink refills were few and far between, the sausage links were cold and burnt. This overall experience was made worse by the unexpected upcharge on blueberry pancakes, the $3 two slices of toast and the ridiculous $61 total for three people. I would very much not recommend this restaurant and I hope you all make a better choice than we did. We should have gone to Olive Garden. read more

just got my delivery and have to say very disappointed. No butter, syrup, forks, or napkins. Delivered in a shopping bag not an IHOP bag. Food was also cold. It could've been that the dasher didn't have it in the supplied insulated delivery bag but it's also IHOP's fault for not making sure the delivery person was using one. That on top of the missing items makes this a okay experience nothing special and definitely not something I'll order again anytime soon read more

We stopped here with some friends to eat while in the area. We had to wait about 15 mins. for a table, waitress did wait on us fairly quickly for drinks. The drinks, however, took a long time to arrive. Waitress did take our order at that time, and we waited a little longer than normal for food to arrive, but they were pretty full so can't blame kitchen. I had ordered a chicken sandwich plain. When it came I looked at it and it had everything on it. So I waited while everyone else ate for my sandwich to be redone. I will say when it arrived it was hot. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. read more

We love our hotel breakfast but we need a change in pace. So we went to a ihop right next our hotel. This was my first time at an ihop so I didn't know what to expect. The staff is really friendly and we told our waitress what we wanted. And then we waited... and waited... and waited...... we saw everyone else get there food and leave but we waited for about and 1/2 hour to our food to get to our table. But when the food came, it was really good. I got the chicken and pancakes and it was amazing. The only bad thing is the SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW service. Otherwise, IHOP is pretty good and would come back. read more

Horrible experience, place dirty, dirty tables everywhere, bathroom dirty, no one in a hurry to do anything. Couple of kids seating people as host I guess, but seemed a lot more interested in their phones than their job. Won't be going back. read more

Went in and waited. Three employees saw me from afar, no one even came up to ask us to wait. After five minutes we left.

Waited for 25 minutes after being seated to get helped. Waiter that ended up taking our order was standing on the back wall socializing

No floor cleaning but the food was amazing. The girl who was waiting everyone was extremely good.

I seriously don't know why anyone would give money to this place! I called to see if I could buy a gift card. Was told the manager could do that. I said I was coming from the opposite side of town and would be there as soon as I could. I made it to the restaurant in 10 minutes. Well apparently the only manager who can sell a gift card and who was there when I called, decided to leave 5 minutes before I got there!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! read more

Had a great breakfast that was served fast and hot. Owner had 2 grandkids helping out and they were precious! Great family restaurant.

The waitress we had was wonderful but the food I got was so horrid that I had to go outside before I blew up, especially since I waited over an hour to get bacon eggs and hash browns with my family. And my eggs were supposed to be over easy but they were just slightly cracked meaning the cook cracked the eggs on the grill and then plated them not only did the cook do that but placed the hash browns and eggs over the bacon. But the waitress Kelly was wonderful even though they were packed. She was always friendly just too bad today I didn't see the assistance needed to help her. read more

On vacation and went here after church for lunch. Though our kids were tired from traveling, they were very kind and helped us out. Food was great and a hit with the kids. The fried chicken & waffles...mmmmmm! Was so good, we came back for supper that same night! Had Lilo as our waitress...best server we've had in a LOOOONG time at any restaurant. Well done Lilo! She was great with our kids and made us feel very welcome. Great job! We'll be back if we're in the area again! read more

They stole money from me... literally. I ate a meal there about 10 days ago on a Tuesday. The service was average, the food edible, but not delicious. The next day I went to balance out my checking account and noticed two charges pending: one for the amount of my bill ($13 and change), and one for the amount plus tip ($16 and change). I decided to wait until they actually ran through before saying something, thinking maybe it would clear the first one away. I waited an additional day before calling them Friday afternoon. The manager, Mike, said he would take care of it, but I would need to show him my statement. I agreed and ran it down there within the half hour. He agreed that I was double charged, but instead of a normal refund (run the original card and refund it) he told me that someone at the home office would have to do it. He never took down my card number so that was a lie, I realize, now. We are at one week and I still don't have it. I checked with him on Tuesday, and he said that it should be there and to check back. I'll check on Friday, but no matter the outcome at this point, this is ridiculous. Can not recommend this place for any reason. read more
