We vetted several places and she chose this one because of the vibe. She wanted the dj, the sing a long and fun times. We scheduled the event May 24t, 2026 2PM-5PM. I texted the owner, Claudia, to confirm date and time and to ensure the menu I created was correct. I received a "YES" confirming all the information. I showed up to the restaurant at 1:15PM so I could set up for the event i.e. balloons, table center pieces and gift bags. I was greeted with closed doors. The restaurant was CLOSED!!!! It was pouring rain! I immediately started calling the owner, Claudia...no response. I sent several text messages...NO RESPONSE! I decided to give them a few minutes grace period because they were scheduled to be open at 1PM. 1:30 came and went, restaurant still closed. 1:45PM came and went, restaurant still closed. By this time I was drenched. I could see someone at the back and they saw me banging on the door...NO RESPONSE!!!! It broke my heart to have to call the Birthday girl to explain to her what was going on. I wanted her to show up and just enjoy her day. I decided to walk a few doors down to The Cove and I spoke to Ms. Beverly, I explained what was happening and she said she would accommodate my birthday brunch. I went back to The Social Corner and one of their cooks, who was not working that day was gracious enough to let 8 of the guests in out of the rain. He made several phone calls.
