Food was good but service was poor. Make sure you check your silverware. Was asked if we would like a refund or partial refund for not eating a dish. Was told yes and was given the same bill. We had the best afternoon lunch/Super! Our food was cooked as we requested and our waitress was incredibly efficient, kind and attentive!

We sat down and waited 16 1/2 minutes before we were even acknowledged. When we inquired about the delay, we were told "the sections were changed, and our table hadn't been included in any of the sections". There was one server waiting on the tables next to us and he walked past us at least a dozen times with zero acknowledgement. There's is a server name Summer that write in her own tips, Charged my card for my total amount got me to sign then went back in and added herself a undeserving tip. I happened to be in Muncie, IN this past weekend and had the opportunity to have breakfast at IHOP. I've eaten at IHOP several times in various locations and have found the food to be consistently good wherever I've gone. My preference is family owned, private places but sometimes they aren't convenient. IHOP is a good second choice for those of you who are like-minded. Portions are generous and everything I've ever had tasted very good. Contrary to what I've heard people say, "You can't screw up breakfast", you absolutely can screw up breakfast. Almost took my plate away before I finished eating. 1 cowboy burger that barely had a drop of bar b que sauce on it and 1 swiss mushroom burger, both with fries and 1 soft drink plus 2 plain pancakes. $23.30 before tip. Worst service ever! We were seated and never had a server come to our table. There was a family seated about seven minutes after us that immediately got their drink orders taken. I then had to stop another server and ask if we had a server. Then a lady came to our table saying our server had gone home but she would take our order. The food was blah and the portion sizes were extremely skimpy. My husband received about a spoonful worth of mashed potatoes. We were almost forgotten about the rest of the meal. Right about the time I was going to get up and ask someone for our check our server finally came to give us our check. Completely disappointed and we will never go back. On top of all of that, our son was literally given a piece of copy paper as a coloring page and as we were walking out they had actual coloring pages sitting on the check in desk. My husband and I are moving in our first child at Ball state college tomorrow and I couldn't sleep so I decided to walk from the hotel next door to IHOP. I am so glad that I did. After a horrible last week of staying in the ICU with my grandpa and now moving my daughter into college, I've had a very rough week. TARA was my waitress and she was absolutely fantastic. She didnt know anything about me, but was so incredibly kind. She had great recommendations and her service was fast and efficient. She made me smile and forget about my stress, even if it was only for a shirt time. I not only got great crepes in a timely fashion, but also gave me some much needed joy and laughter. The service was excellent! I wish I could remember the name of our waitress, she was so great. The food was delicious too. I ordered an omelette with hash browns; all was cooked to perfection. The seasonal hot chocolates are also TO-DIE-FOR. Also, clean bathrooms with decent smelling soap. Last week I attended the Howard Dean Lecture at Ball State University. By the way, Governor Dean gets a 5 star rating for delivering the goods. Afterwards my partner and I were really hungry so we stopped at the IHOP in Muncie. The truth is that I have always had a soft spot in my heart for IHOP, even the cockroach infested, badly managed on at 16th and Meridian in Indianapolis (now demolished sadly with a CVS on the site). So, I was happy to enter this very clean suburban version of what I mostly knew as downtown grimey (and grimly!) urban. We had a wonderful server. I think her name was Brook but lost the receipt and am not totally sure,.. Our breakfast samplers (nicely priced) got to the table FAST. The food was standard but good. I asked for the special autumn pecan pancakes and the server I think is named Brook happily complied.happily. There was a very outgoing young manager type guy who dropped by the table twice to ask if everything was ok. It was late at night. We were tired an hungry. But seeing Gov Dean and having a good experience at a chain restaurant, left us with a smile. I have been to IHOPs everywhere, but this was the best! Keep it up IHOP Muncie. read more

You haven't really lived until you've been to an IHOP at an odd hour of the very late night or early morning, depending on who you ask. Whether due to proximity to Ball State or cosmic accident, Muncie's IHOP is one of the best for witching-hour shenanigans. The third-shift staff is awesome, the service is pretty quick, and no matter what time of day or night you drop by the store and grounds are clean and inviting. Sure, all IHOPs are chain restaurants, but if you're in the area, it's 3am, and you need pancakes, stat, this is THE place to take your bad self (and preferably as many friends as you can round up). Maybe there are "as good," or better individual items, at other restaurants, but IHOP has its own style of food, and recipes, so I rated them as IHOP's go. I and a friend stopped at I hop today about 11:30 am. They were not very bissey the hostess set us in a booth along the wall were there is two booth. Soon she brought another client to set in the other booth as we were with in two feet of each. It made an bad situation as I had to ask to either move or the other guest to move which he volunteered to do. I cannot understand why she would do this it amounts to poor service. read more

My friends are I had Tyler L (Ty) as our waiter and not only was he tentative, but he was kind and patient with us. Quick seating upon arrival was great, with the exception that the table to which I was taken had powdered sugar and syrup on it when I was placed. The hostess needed to be asked to have it bussed after she walked away, but she was quick to resolve the issue once she had been made aware. The meal was hot, the food delicious, and the coffee was always full. My waitress was both efficient and pleasant and I would consider her demeanor to be the highlight of my visit. She impressed and took care of everything very well while I was enjoying my meal; even got me a fresh coffee to take with me as I ventured into the frigid weather outside. The wait for a table was not long which I appreciated, but my server never even told us her name and made it very clear she was stressed out. More than anything else I'm mad at the fact that my boyfriend and I waited over an hour at the table for our food to find out they hadn't even started making it yet.
