Got sick from the food, the service wasn't good and was expensive,, we won't go back"so disappointed!!

Friendly staff, food was cold and had a horrible before and after taste. Even my toddler wouldn't eat his meal

Breakfast for lunch or dinner? What could be better?!!??! We are regulars at our local IHOP and love the fact that I can have a breakfast omelette for dinner. And, what kid doesn't like a smiley faced pancake? The food was what you would expect from a chain restaurant, you do go there for consistency right? It was the service that was lacking in this place. Must have been a shift change or something because it took 20 min to order, and when the food did come out it took another 20 min to get drink refills. The whole time I am just looking at the waitress behind the counter being chatty with other employees who were not "on shift". One saving grace for this place... the bathrooms in this place were exceptionally clean. Actually amazing since it seems like none of the employees were really working. read more

I had forgotten why IHOP is never on my radar, but this recent experience reminded me. My eggs and pancakes were cold to the touch. I asked to have fresh pancakes and the manager brought back the same exact pancakes. I could definitely tell the pancakes are not cooked to order. The cook obviously makes a bunch and puts them to the side and serves them as needed. Rubbery cold pancakes is the result of this practice. Never again. read more

Upon returning from AZ to CA we stopped here to grab late lunch. The place was empty on a Sunday around 4pm. Service was slow but good. I made the biggest mistake of ordering Italian chicken pasta :-I It was bland and literally lacked any taste at all. Spinach in tomato alfredo sauce?? It was bad. Mushrooms burnt and chicken rubbery :( Fried chicken which my husband ordered was good. Well breaded and tasty coated chicken well fried. Side of mashed potatoes and buttery corn. We came in late after driving all day and Connie greeted us with a smile and fresh coffee and ice cold water! Our food came out print and all orders were correct! She even went above and beyond with filling water cups and recommending specials! Connie was so kind, polite and an wonderful waitress!! I can't believe my $12 breakfast. 2 eggs TWO sausages, half order of hash browns and two pancakes. I love to help my restaurants during the COVID problems but for them to charge for the amount of food given is the biggest rip off to the public. Before the appademic they had a great breakfast for $7. Two eggs 2 sausages, two bacons a full order of hashbrowns and two pancakes. Wtf happened Never going back. WOW, so many bad reviews. Anyway, this was our first time here at this location. I walked in the hostess was very nice and sat us down right away. Our waitress came to our table within a minute she was also had a bright and happy attitude. We got our food within 20 minutes, it is not fast food FYI. So, I don't mind waiting for cooked food. As long as it's not cold, I am good. My husband got the unlimited shrimp and fries. Both were very good, he was happy. Food was good, everything was good with my meal which was the waffle combo. She came and checked on us quite a bit not to where it was annoying. It was pretty crowded around 10am big groups came in. All waitresses were happy :-) will go back here again if I am in that area! read more

Place was spotless at 2:30 on a Sunday. Seated right away. Waitress was very professional and friendly, being very accommodating of substitutions. The cook even sent out replacement eggs when one of mine came out "popped." Food came out hot and fresh. Bacon was crispy, hash browns were tasty (though the serving was small), eggs were cooked properly sunny side up, pancakes were just buttery and sweet enough without going into dessert territory. Decor is a bland but inoffensive tan/cream. Wasn't keen on hearing the discussion of the booth next to ours though (the dividers are very low). I'm disappointed they don't warm the maple syrup any more like they did when I was a kid though. read more

I usually enjoy Ihop and frequent this establishment in Kingman often. Nita is the most friendly server in evenings, and in the mornings there's a few others whom are lovely. While sometimes the service is slow I can see it's not the fault of the employees, but more of an issue of scheduling. Whoever does the scheduling for this establishment needs to take greater care, they're often understaffed in both the front and back of the house. The reasons I will no longer be eating at this establishment are as follows: 1. I've overheard supervisors telling servers to do their own surveys or they will lose hours, I've also heard servers asking one another to do surveys for each other. I've worked in a restaurant and other areas of customer service and you cannot force customers to do surveys. If there's something wrong they will usually tell you, but you cannot force the public to do your surveys. Threatening your employees with loss of hours is unprofessional and downright WRONG. Many of the servers have children and families to provide for. I've also seen the GM snatch things from her employees hands aggressively. If she were my boss I would hate working there. 2. I've seen one particular shift supervisor, the one with the New York accent, treat the staff disrespectfully; bringing up surveys as well and even yelling at staff in the galley. I've even heard her tell a server not to help another server, whom I assume was newer, because they were slow and needed to learn. Forgive me, but establishments like restaurants run much better when everyone helps. She also has a habit of cutting servers off the floor when it's busy, thus attributing to slower service. I also noticed she doesn't back the servers up when there's a problem and the guest is being ridiculous, she very much caters to obnoxious guests. 3. I think they need food-runners, people who help take food to guests or even help get drinks when a server is double seated. It would help immensely. I'm sure there's more I could add to this but for the moment I think this is enough. I do not want to help keep an establishment open that treats their staff so poorly, no matter how much I like the pancakes. Sorry this was a bit long, I usually go to this Ihop and read my book if they aren't busy. Over time I've begun to notice these things and I think it needs to change drastically. read more

Always the worst experience when I go here. The waiters don't care. The food takes 45 minutes or more to get to you. And this is when they have 5 waitress and 4 groups of customer's no larger than 4. Everytime I go into this restaurant. Now at least 12 times in the past 3 years. No more chances, I will not be trying again. read more

For some reason your food on Sunday 11:30 am takes 1:15 minutes to be on the table, with could request are not accumulate. the funny part that you call your server 3 time and each time she tell you I will be with you in a second but she never does. weird way to serve guests. read more

We went to ihop a few months ago. We got seated but never saw our server. After 15 to 20 min of waiting for someone to take our drink order we just up and left. We havent gone back in a few months because of that. We decided to give it a try again yesturday morning. We go in and we get seated and again no server to take our drink order. We waited 15min and someone must have overheard us talking about it because finally after 15 min, as we were about to leave, someone came and took our order. The food was great but the service was absolutely terrible. I dont see us going back there anytime soon. read more

I stopped in for an early dinner at 4 pm. We ordered the Country Fried Steak on the early dinner menu, the waitress was nice and apologized for being out of the Country Fry Steak. On my adventure to Sedona, we decided to stop off here at this IHOP. First of let me say if your not in a hurry this place is just for you. Absolutely the slowest service ever!! We had a pleasant dining experience at this IHOP in Kingman. The staff was pretty nice. This review is especially for Frank who is the general manager at this IHOP. We were returning from vacations and stopped here for lunch on our way back to San Jose. We forgot our baby's shoes on our way out and only realized this when we had reached Vegas. Frank went out of his way to help us by mailing the lost items all the way to California, that too at their expense. I went there for breakfast on a weekday morning. I got the hearty ham and cheese omelet, and an English muffin. It was great, true to the omelet's menu description "hearty" was very filling. The restaurant was clean, well maintained, employees were kind and provided very good service. read more

It's rare these days that you get outstanding service so when it happens it needs to be shared. Today at IHOP we got the perfect server. He was prompt, attentive, kind, quick, funny, friendly and professional. He was humble, a giver, a role model, an English teacher in his full-time job, as well as a football coach -- serving was his part-time gig because we all realize teachers are not paid near enough. The food was good but it didn't matter because we got the perfect server! So go to IHOP and ask for David's section. He might just make your day! read more

Can't go wrong with IHOP. We were seated very quickly. Our waitress promptly served us. Our breakfast was out within minutes. My husband really enjoyed the Pumpkin Pancakes.
