Which personally, I also love. Year 1: Good, friendly, fairly fast service. Good menu variety. And the food tasted good as well! Really no complaints! Year 2: We sat at a table right by the bar. The bartender was our waitress. (Important note because we could see her basically the whole time and what see was doing) and respectfully she wasn't that busy. But it took almost 20 to 30 minutes for her to even come to the table and get our drink order. So we ordered our drinks in food at the same time. Food came out. It was okay, something's tasted better than other things. But for the price and how long it took, I don't think it was really worth it. While eating, I needed a drink refill, again I can see our waitress behind the bar. Not doing nothing but from the time our food was dropped off to the time we finished eating, she didn't come over to check on us. Which was annoying. When she did come over she was nice and friendly, but not really apologetic because I don't think she knows how slow her service is. Year 3: okay 1 good trip - 1 bad trip, so we needed a tie breaker. Again sat at a table near the bar. They had 2 host, and 3 waiters working and probably 7 to 8 tables??? Spilt between the 3 of them. So not very busy. Fortunately, this time the host got us our first round drinks (soda). About time our waitress came over, id say we were there for about 10 to 15mins. We ordered wings as an appetizer and our meals at the same time. Again I think it took 20 to 30 minutes for the wings to come out. In that time, our waitress did not check on us. Didn't say "sorry about the wait" "wings should be up shortly", nothing. And yet again i can see our waitress and other staff standing behind the bar. Which okay whatever but check on your table before having a chatting session? Food came out, shortly after that. I got a chicken sandwich that was a little extra crispy lol and my boyfriend got fried catfish? I believe? I will give credit, the wings were good and had a nice crispy skin. The main meals were both just alright. But again for the wait and the cost ($70) it's just not really worth it. After finishing the meal, we waited 10 minutes and then had to go find someone else to bring us our check. I wasn't trying to be there all night... FINALLY! We get to go downstairs to the Ice Cream Shop (which is why we came in the first place) at 8:05 and they were "technically closed" - pretty sure the restaurant closes at 8:30 but okay whatever. The girl kind of offered to still scoop us some Ice Cream but at that point I'm over it. So we got our Ice Cream Stamp at left. Already decided next year will be a strictly Ice Cream Only trip. Such a shame because it really is a cute place. But I don't like paying $70-$80 to basically be ignored for a hour and a half.

All dogs get a free scoop of ice cream with dog biscuits but we also ordered a plate (rice, peas, carrots, and salmon) for $6. The menu is simple, and that's how I like it. No drafts, all bottles, no problem if you like regular beers. The pool tables seem to get a lot of use. They have slot machines in a cordoned off room if that's your thing. I look forward to my next visit. The $19.99 steaks on Fridays are AWESOME!

The music area is separate from the bar and dining area where we sat, which makes the layout feel lively without having the music sit directly on top of your entrée. There is also a related shop next door, The Naked Olive, where you can buy olive oils, balsamics, tapenades, and other dangerous things you convince yourself are "for later." By the time we were leaving early Saturday evening, they were getting ready for live music, which added to the local, come-stay-awhile feel. We started with a classic martini, and it was excellent. Perfectly balanced, cold, briny, slightly sweet, and served with blue cheese olives. A proper martini is not just a drink, it is a small personality test. We also tried the monthly special, the Dirty Devil, which I believe had bourbon, Coke, and salted caramel. It was good, but the classic martini was the clear winner for me. Service was friendly and helpful. I believe our server was James, and he helped us work through the menu without making us feel like we were preparing for a graduate seminar in small plates. They also honored us with a military discount, which I sincerely appreciated. Food wise, we ordered the Truffled Mushroom Pizza, which was genuinely good, with mushrooms, onions, peppers, and mozzarella. My only note is that the truffle was very subtle, maybe attending more in spirit than in full costume, but the pizza itself worked and I enjoyed it. We also had the Chicken Chesapeake, a sous vide chicken breast topped with crab and Chesapeake sauce. It came with a house salad and house vinaigrette, which was standard but good. As chicken breast goes, the entrée was well cooked, tender, and nicely finished. The crab and seasoning gave it some personality, which chicken breast often desperately needs. The mashed potatoes were hearty and solid. The vegetable du jour was the one underwhelming part of the meal; I am still not entirely sure what it was, and I do not think it was sure either. Overall, I enjoyed The Naked Olive Lounge. It may not be in my top three Berkeley Springs restaurants thus far, but it is definitely a solid entry in the local rotation. The ambiance is warm, the layout is comfortable, the service is friendly, the martinis are legitimately excellent, and the food is good, even if a few details could be stronger. The price point was reasonable, and I would happily come back, especially for a classic martini and live music.
