I've been to several I-HOP restaurants, but this location is probably on my list of ones not to visit. After being seated promptly, we were left alone for over ten minutes before being offered drinks. Our server dropped our drinks and left without asking if we were ready to order. When she returned, I ordered a crepe dish only to be told that the only person who could make crepes had left. I chose a different item and waited 20 min for it to come. Asked for the check and waited another 10 min for it. I guess an hour and a half for breakfast isn't that bad, just longer than at other places I've eaten breakfast. read more

Went with a group for breakfast. After taking our order, the waitress came back to say that they didn't have any shell eggs. What breakfast place doesn't have shell eggs? Then someone was playing with the overhead music. When it first came on it was so loud I jumped. They settled on a volume where we couldn't visit. I don't know how they manage the hygiene of their employee. My wrist went into the women's bathroom and they were out of soap. I ordered a Spicy Poblano Omelette and got 3 micro pieces of peppers, and no poblano in my omelette. Everything was dry and my Belgium waffle was super soggy and rubbery. This is only place that can do Belgium waffles wrong. I only live 5 minutes away so it wasn't like I let the food sit forever. The strawberries and cream crepe was disgusting. I usually give a lot of grace to restaurants because i understand that it's a hard job. However, this is the worst experience me and my significant other have ever had. Dimly lit, dirty, ants on the tables and walls. We waited to be sat for over ten minutes, and the manager actually had to tell someone to go over and help us. Our server was Dnautica. She was not good. Not unkind but very bad at her job. We were not given any napkins or silverware. We got our drinks, but took her a while to come over and take our order. Mind you, there were like 2 tables besides us, so it was not busy at all. She takes our order and we wait close to 30 minutes for our food to be brought out. We were still not given any silverware. In my order i substituted hashbrowns for pancakes which she said was ok. When our food came out i was given hashbrowns. I reminded her that i ordered pancakes and she said she would go grab them. We still do not have any silverware. We actually called the buslady over and she got us some. Waited another 10 minutes for my pancakes. All in all the service was terrible. The food was decent even though it was cold by the time we got our silverware, so shout out to the cooks. read more

Honestly I don't know if it was racially motivated because I'm black and the people who came after me were white. Almost 2 hours to get food order was made online still messed up my order avoid at all cost eat sleep

Took 10 minutes to be greeted and Sat. Took another 20 minutes for a server to come and get our drink orders, then another 5 minutes for him to come back with our waters just for him to tell my wife that they are out of coffee at 1130. Food didn't come out for another 25 minutes which was okay, except for the fact that it was Luke warm at best, my steak was well done and eggs weren't cooked all the way through on the Inside. My wife ordered the all you can eat pancakes for $5, and it took 30 minutes to come out and it was only 2, and when she asked for me he tried to upcharge us for another order of pancakes, and when she said that she had all you can eat pancakes his exact response was "aw I'm trippin my bad fam". And took ANOTHER 30 minutes to get us a new receipt... just for it to be messed up again. He then said he'd be back with another receipt and we waited again for 10 minutes, only to find out he LEFT the restaurant to pick up another employee while he still had Open tables. I asked for a refund because of how awful it was, and the on duty manager clicked his tongue. Probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. If I could rate it in the negatives, I would. I'm a grown man who's married with kids now, and I used to come to this exact location with my grandmother when I was a little boy. It makes me incredibly Sad to see how bad it's gotten, and that I can't have the same experiences here with my children that I got when I was their age. read more

Trash... The service level has truly gone down. And I'm standing here waiting for them to fix my bill so I can leave this place. What happened here? We used to love coming to this location. Management is obviously not managing properly. We had to all for silverware. This is ridiculous. Since the ordeal and communication with the corporate office, someone from corporate called me to apologize for the incident and assure me that they are training the location. They also offered to send me a gift certificate and asked me to either return there to check for improvement or another location. I'm glad corporate reaches out in response and I hope that location has improved but it'll be a while before I try that location again. read more

I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to take the family to dinner. This is where they chose, in hindsight even Waffle House would have been fine dining compared to this restaurant. We needed seating for nine, and should have left after the host started running around shouting to his colleagues how he can't wait a table of nine. Keep in mind that I don't think there were ten other customers in the restaurant at this time, 6:00 PM. Long story short, our experience was terrible, some of the meals were barely edible, portions of orders were incorrect or missing, drinks were not refilled. If I could give no stars I would. We showed up approximately at 4:11pm and just now left at 6:09pm. We were seated immediately because they were not busy. The whole entire time we were here, there were only 3 tables of people including ours. We got our drinks right away, the assistant general manager took our order and then our server came to check on us. We ordered at 4:20, around 5 we were getting antsy and asked if our order was almost done, our server went to go check about 10 minutes later the assistant gm came and asked if we got our food, we told her no and then she went and talked to the cooks. We heard her and the kitchen hadn't even started cooking our food! A kid from the kitchen came and asked who took our order and asked what we had ordered. We did not get our food until 5:45pm. He brings the silverware and before I could take 2 bites of my food he brings the bill and says no rush. If there's no rush why do I have the bill already? He walked away and was talking to the person who brought my food and pointing at me. He came back and asked for the bill back and he was going to give me a little discount. He comes back and had given me a military discount. Shortly the guy that he was talking to comes and immediately apologized. (I thought he was a food runner). Well I ordered French Toast and I had it before at another location and it was ok. Well at Truman Corner location I'm sorry to say but it was terrible!!! At first glance it just looked like white bread that was dipped in fake eggs and lightly cooked and no cinnamon ! Well I went to cut it and it was tough like I just couldn't cut it. I had to tear it! How can this be?? Isn't bread soft ? This was hard to cut through but of course I end up cutting it but it was stale and maybe that's why it was hard to slice Also no cinnamon !!' How can you messed up French toast ?? and that was so bad I think it turn me Against French toast. Think I'm mentally scarred and the only fix will be Brioche French toast WITH Cinnamon !!
