Sunday morning my family and I decided to pay this restaurant a visit! We only waited like 10-15 min to get seated so that was good. We all ordered pretty quickly and the server was nice. I ordered something simple compared to my other family members. Some ordered omelets and others chicken and waffles. Our food came out the kitchen very quickly like 5 min, record time!! We started eating and my family realized they didn't get their avocado... the server come back and we asked him and he goes "oh my apologies, we ran out of avocados". It was really weird because it was only 10am, like how you run out so early, the rush hour of church goers had not even arrrived! He also didn't offer to bring a side or anything to make up for the fact that they ran out of avocados so early AND failed to inform us when ordering!! Yeah I get he was busy but common. Stopped by with a group of 90 on a bus trip. We called ahead so things went well, the service was okay nothing to write home about. I ordered the blue berry pancakes breakfast combo. Tasted ok, but did not have berries inside of the pancakes just in the syrup. Only complaint was with the way we were given our bills, tables were grouped together and this made it hard to divide the bills. The bathrooms for both sexes had only one stall each which created long lines. Just passing through. read more

I had gluten free pancakes and gluten free waffles, they were good tasting, but you'll need a LOT of syrup to make it easier to enjoy. The server was great and very responsive to my needs. I like Ihop. We don't have them in Canada so we wanted to try it while we were staying at the dingiest hotel ever next door. I ordered a combo that had 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and hash browns with a side of 2 pancakes with iced coffee. The boyfriend ordered the same. It was tasty. The portions are really reasonable, the bacon was perfectly cooked, I like the shredded potato hashbrowns, my eggs were scrambled so I can't comment on how they were cooked really but they weren't watery. Their signature pancakes had the option of 4 different types of syrup, I just went with the original.. they were really good too, nice and fluffy and generous with the butter. All in all for a chain I was impressed. The price was reasonable and the service was excellent. My boyfriend did make a comment about how his coffee tasted kind of gross which is disappointing in a breakfast place. If we had these in Canada I'd return. read more

Take out service is the WORST EVER! I made an order of the Breakfast Sampler and the French Toast combo for my fiancé and I, we have order it before and very delicious, but this time it was horrible, our hash browns were completely burn, my French toast was literally just plain toast super dry, thin nothing like what I've received before. But this is the third time we have received bad food we order to go, and so we just have to review. Customers that order to go should be given the same quality of food as dinning in. I was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday, and really wanted a hot breakfast / brunch, but had no desire to cook. Thus, we ended up at IHOP. I ordered the 2x2x2 with eggs scrambled dry (aka not runny) and bacon. My eggs arrived and they were brown. I said something to the waitress and she was like, well you wanted them well done. There is a big difference between being thoroughly cooked and brown. She happily took them back and brought new eggs that were not runny. She had me keep my pancakes and bacon while the eggs were re-cooked so that I could start eating. My husband ordered the pancake platter (short stack - 3 pancakes) and sausage. His food was as expected. The waitress was very kind and accomodating. Next time I go I will be more careful as to how I order my eggs. This was way better than cooking at home! read more

Our visit to IHOP in Clifton was disappointing this Sunday for one specific reason. The restaurant was very busy as you would expect on a Sunday, so we were prepared to wait- no problem since there is adequate seating in the waiting area. We were told that there was a 30 minute wait- again, no problem . We gave our name and phone number to receive a text when our table was ready. Approximately 15 minutes later we received a text that our table was ready. At that point we approached the podium and said that we had gotten a text that our table was ready. The young woman at the podium stated that our table was NOT ready and there were 10 people in front of us. We showed her the phone with the text still on it and at that point she became as rude and belligerent as anyone I have ever encountered in a customer service capacity. This woman's name is Julienne or something like that, according to our very pleasant server, who stated that this is not the first complaint about this person the restaurant has received. It also bears mentioning that at least 3 parties of the same size who definitely came in after us were seated before us. Once we were finally seated, our waiter was very sweet and personable, our food came out quickly and just as we had ordered it, and delicious as always. The only downside to our meal was the very rude, obnoxious hostess at the front podium. I did call and complain to the manager on duty, but I felt that a negative review was in order as well, given how this "hostess" probably ruined other people's meal as well. read more

I Hop? Nah, I'm not a big hopping fan of this place. Trust me, I know my way around a pancake? These P-Cakes. Mid. Food is sometimes ice cold. I mean JEFF cold coming out of the kitchen. Service has been s l ow too each time I went. When DaCakes are free doe, hmmmm, I stop by its worth it. So I can't slander a significant amount. The bacon too. Yeah, its bacon if you were wondering. Many years ago I went to have breakfast @ this IHOP & I found a hair in my breakfast. I was so gross out that decided that I wouldn't go back. BUT since I became a widow 1 year ago and this IHOP is nearby, I said to myself "let me give them another try, maybe after all these years things has changed" I WAS SO WRONG!!!!! :( :( :( As I sat in the back, eating my breakfast, there was this terrible smell coming from the carpet, to me the smell was strong that I couldn't wait to get out of there. It smelled like a strong odor of someone's feet (when they take off their shoes). I wanted to throw up, I had to eat my breakfast covering my nose in order for it to go down. As I was leaving, I mentioned it to the cashier and she said "yes, we have heard these complaint before but I will bring it to the Manager's attention again" I also told her about my experience many years ago and that I wanted to give one more chance BUT THIS TIME I WILL NEVER GO BACK so the host was looking @ us and paying attention to our conversation and said "we just had our carpet cleaned, maybe that's why the smell is strong" REALLY? If cleaning a carpet makes smell that good, I can just imagine how good it will smell if they didn't. I wonder how clean is their kitchen and the way they handle the food. THIS PLACE IS TOO GROSS FOR ME. People always tell me "don't ever say "NEVER" when maybe you will do it again BUT in this case I MEAN IT: I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!! After having a great meal and having a great server whom I left more than the suggested 20% for in cash on the table, I really didn't appreciate the attempt to bully my grandmother into leaving more tip when she went to pay at the cash register. The cashier with the blond/Grey bob may have been just protecting her staff but it came off as being overly aggressive when there was no need. First off place was dirty they sat us in chairs where seats and under table where dirty, then nobody came to take our order until I looked at manager who was chatting with staff also not working, then the server was nice once she came and tried to help, I ordered coffee and the pot had dirty ketchup stain on it ewww, spoon was still wet and stained ,walls need to be cleaned behind the booth we where in overall this place needs to train the employees how to properly clean not just wipe with a wet dirty rag some kind of disinfectant should be used with maybe paper towels not the same rag very dirty will not go back here until these issues are addressed and corrected. This hands down has got to be the best IHOP I've ever been to. I live in almost exact proximity of four IHOPs, and I've always gone to the other three and have had mediocre service, and food but my boyfriend talked me into coming to this location and I'm so glad we did! We were a little nervous about the wait on an early Sunday morning, especially since it took about 2 minutes to squeeze pass the huge line (which started outside) to make a reservation for 2. The host advised a 15-20min wait. And it was so worth it! First off, this was the first time IN YEARS that I've been to an IHOP and the menu WASN'T STICKY! LIKE OMJJJJJ lol I usually get the same thing just to AVOID touching the menu. But since there wasn't a syrupy barrier I decided to take a look and was pleasantly surprised on the upgraded menu. So many choices! I got the strawberry creme crepes with a side of sausage and my man (like usual) got the BLT with french fries and panclocks on the side (pics included). Food came out promptly and fabulous! the fries were incredibly well seasoned! The portions were filling and our waitress was very warm & friendly. I used to come to IHOPs on average 3-5/year... but haven't been to one for about a year, and I never have high expectations when eating here but I'm happy I reunited with IHOP via this location. Always consistent, always good. Of course delicious pancakes but other choices are good also. Hubby had the Chicken and Waffles. They were not regular waffles, but Pumpkin Spice. Nice alternative. I have been getting the German Pancakes since I was a kid and they are still great. Very thin light pancakes ( really crepes) with lemon butter and a dusting of powdered sugar. Yummy! Weekend waits can be very long, the crowd spills outside but the line moves fairly quickly and the wait time they quote is usually accurate. Excellent unlimited pot of coffee too and the service is always efficient and professional. Christian is our go to server, great guy who always remembers our preferences. read more

There is plenty of parking, and the restaurant is quite clean. I went with a friend on 7/23/16 for a late brunch. There were several people waiting ahead of us to be seated, yet we waited only about three minutes before we were called. The wait staff was courteous, service great, ambiance nice, and the food delicious. I ate the Split Decision, which was comprised of two scrambled eggs (you can choose between scrambled, over easy, over medium, and over firm), two sausages, two bacon strips, French toast, and two pancakes. It was my first time eating at an IHOP and it was a great experience. All for a great price. I intend to return soon to try other dishes. I recommend it. read more
