We waited 10 minutes for someone to come over at our table. Lack of communication or teamwork in my opinion. My eggs were not over medium, barely cooked even. One strip of bacon was floppy, the other was burned. I asked for crispy. They failed that too. This next issue is for corporate. When you get cheesecake pancakes, 5 speckles of cheesecake is sad. The pancakes were smothered with obviously frozen strawberries (still frozen in the middle) and vividly bright red mystery liquid. This was my second attempt to try IHOP at this location, never again. Add two or three dollars and get fresh ingredients at Sleeping Roosters or First Watch. Patrons beware of the poor quality food. I don't understand why people review IHOP so poorly, it's an IHOP, and it should be judged on its terms for what it is. It's not an expensive five-star restaurant they don't cater to the rich and pampered (although I'm sure they are welcome). It's a diner for families, retirees, poor teens after the dance, travelers, and first dates for broke coeds. We ended up eating there several times. Our service was always professional friendly, and prompt and she went the extra mile and did not make assumptions. She took the time to explain the items we ordered so we did not order more or less than we wanted. She also made suggestions for a better option based on what we were ordering, not just what she needed to push or sell. Our food came out fast, hot, and prepared exactly how we ordered it. We left full and satisfied and still had money in our checking account! I would give it five stars for one exception we saw both nights. There seem to be some less savory folks (perhaps gang members or just street punks) that hang out in the parking lot, they act like they own it, they stop in the middle of the driveways and get out to talk not caring they were blocking customers. They were coming and going inside and hanging out by the door but making no effort to get out of the way, sort of challenging you when you came up to the door. I'm sure some people kept going or gave it a bad review just for this. I could not tell if some of these guys worked there, were relations to the staff or what, nor did I see them selling drugs or whatever, just hanging out, being in the way, drinking and smoking pot in their cars, and being kind of rude but mostly keeping it outside. This is not so much a review of the service and more so of the health, sanitization, and overall attitude of the restaurant. I came in on a very busy, and hectic, day. The wait on my food, and the wait to be seated, was understandable. The issues I had were mostly with the management and cleanliness of the restaurant. When I tell you that the manager, Brittany, is an absolute monster, I mean it. From the other side of the dining room, I could hear her screaming, berating, and using profanity towards all of the staff. This was a constant issue the entire, over an hour-long mind you, visit. This woman could easily see that the staff were very busy and doing their best to provide quality service to the guests who were already unhappy with the wait on food. I would say that she, more than anything else, ruined the experience. Even the staff themselves were visibly bothered by this behavior and there were definite conversations about how this was affecting them. I could not imagine working for this woman and would highly advise against working at this restaurant. Moving on to health and sanitization, the first and main thing I can say is bugs. Gnats, ants, who knows what else covered the building. From the waiting area to the tables and everywhere in between. The syrup caddies were so sticky you could barely use them, as if nobody ever cleans them, there was an area of the floor where you had to walk so carefully that you would slip with one wrong move, which one employee did this day. The wet floor sign I would say does not even begin to cover this issue. Other areas of the floor were so sticky, I am not sure how often this restaurant mops their dining room. The food did come out a bit chilled, which, after an hour of waiting on food, seemed to only add fuel to the fire as many people left without receiving their food or having to have it remade. I cannot give lower than one star, however, what I will say to earn that one star, is that the serving staff held up well, even under the pressure. They were very apologetic and communicative about the wait and made sure to take care of the guests as best as they could. My personal opinion, this restaurant needs to hire new management more than anything and shut down for a while to get their cleanliness in check because this location does not live up to the standard that a food service industry business should. read more

I love our IHOP in Clarksville Indiana. All the servers are exceptional. Shout out goes to Timberland who is just the best.... I had breakfast here today, March 10.... With a busted hand ..I had surgery. On.. I've had this wonderful server before and she was so accommodating. The food was excellent. I got the big breakfast. I can be such a picky. Customer trust me, but she was understanding, compassionate, and honest. Always asking how I'm doing. My breakfast sample was wonderful and I got fruit on the side which was delicious and fresh. I've never found this location. Anything but clean and the food hot and Good and let me just say the coffee is amazing. Just the way I like it..... Went for breakfast to claim my birthday pancakes. We have not been to the restaurant for a while and we were surprised how much the menu has changed. IHOP definitely is stepping up its game. Service was quick--we were seated in no time. Pancakes as usual were so fluffy and gooood. I'm really surprised how much I enjoyed the simplicity of their buttermilk pancakes. Husband ordered the breakfast sampler, and I got the Bacon Bourbon Jam Eggs Ben. I thought it was very good, and the bourbon bacon jam was a smart way to draw inspiration from our home area. However, the overall dish would have probably improved in taste if bourbon would have been scaled down to some degree, as some flavors felt a bit overpowered by the strength of the bourbon. I came here with my fiance and toddler for brunch. We didn't have a wait at all, and the hostess was kind. The restaurant was quiet and clean. Our server was Makiah (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) and she was absolutely amazing. She was very kind, attentive, quick, and made us feel welcomed. She answered all of our menu questions and was able to place my daughter's order very quickly, and bring it out first, which I requested. All of our food came out fresh and hot, tasty, and pretty quick. Our server provided everything we needed for a perfect dining and experience. I hope we were as pleasant to her as she was to us. I came on international pancake day in the early afternoon with a very serious toddler. Our server Nakita was very nice and attentive. You could see that they must have been slammed earlier and they were attempting to regroup. They had an obvious staff shortage at that time of day but Ms.Nakita pressed on through. This is a pretty good IHOP. It's always clean, the service is friendly, most times fast, and the food is usually always well-prepared and as ordered. It's my craving for their pancakes that draws me in every single time. On my last visit (a weekend morning) I ordered the Sirloin Tips and Eggs w/ the buttermilk pancakes, of course. The tips could have been cooked a bit longer for my taste, but they were edible (I was too hungry and didn't want to send back). The eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered and tasted good. And of course, their pancakes were great, as always. I hardly ever eat their hash browns - not because I don't like them, but usually because I'm too full after eating what I most prefer first. I've experienced slow service and a wrong order only once since I've been visiting this location over the past two years. I guess we have become food snobs. I was so disappointed in my Belgian dark chocolate pancakes. The mousse had seeped down into the pancakes, which was disappointing. Maybe that's natural because the cakes were hot. There were no chocolate chips in them, which I was expecting. They tasted like they were made with Baker's chocolate and someone forgot to add the sugar. My bacon strips were forgotten. I had to ask for those. Mike got the classic burger with bacon. He said it was average, yet he only ate 1/2 of it. He said that it was not cooked all the way through. His opinion of their burger was, if they want people to know that they make good burgers they need to taste better. The bacon for his burger was also forgotten. We went because my mother-in-law wanted pancakes. She ordered a short stack of original pancakes. The best part of our meal was knowing that she was happy with hers. The big thing is the new Ihoppy hour deals. They have like 7 new meals for $6 and side items for $3. Sorry I did not take any photos. We order 3 meals: she got a burger and onion rings. She didn't like the bun but otherwise the burger was good and the onion rings were perfect. I got chicken strips and pancakes. 4 decent size pieces of chicken with good quality meat. Of course they do pancakes right no need to explain here. The I got a ham and cheese omelette with more pancakes to eat at work later. The omelette was good sized but fluffy and light. This review is for iHop's catering. I order frequently through them using EzCater. I have never physically steeped foot in this particular location but I have used them often over the past year and a half and they really handle themselves quite remarkably. This last time was the first time out of like 37 that they didn't include all of the serving utentils but it wasn't anything that the extra individual utensils they gave us couldn't handle. They used smaller containers for the smaller serving of meat which made for easier pack up and was able to accomodate a VERY last minute accomodation that was hugely appreciated. iHop is consistent and does a very good job. I do not have to be there when they arrive, they know what to do and can deliver in my absence at this point. read more

The staff is friendly, and while I normally come in during the weekdays, they do a pretty good job of turning over tables on the weekends while still being present. Currently they are running thier fall specials. I had the gingerbread hot chocolate; served in a large mug, it was better than anything I've had from a fancy coffee place. I opted for the double vanilla pancakes. Wow, no syrup needed, they were super moist and full of flavor! I would certainly recommend stopping in if you're looking for a quick breakfast. read more

Having just moved to the area we wanted to try this IHOP. The only positive thing I can say is that the food showed up hot. The whole place was dirty. From the walls to the floor. The service was super slow. Other than ordering we were never asked what we wanted in regards to condiments. Everting was brought to the table in opened containers without lids. If we contract COVID at least we will know where it came from. Only a handful of servers wore the proper PPE. As for the food the coffee was not good at all. It left that burnt popcorn taste in your mouth. The toast was super dry as well. I would not recommend this place at all. Please avoid at all costs. Including carry out. Not worth it at all. read more
