In the past I have had great experiences in this IHOP. However, this past Saturday was one of the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant. My party and I were seated quickly but 20 minutes had passed before anyone came to take our order! The restaurant was nearly empty and there were plenty of waiters on the floor. When our waiter had finally came he took our order, two chicken Cobb salads with minor alterations and the New York cheesecake pancakes. After waiting another 41 minutes for our food, the waiter returned to our table with our order minus the alterations! He then returned to the kitchen and disappeared. He didn't even bother to give us an update on our food. When he returned with our salads, he had forgot to give us our honey mustard dressing, napkins and the raspberry tea, which had way too much syrup in it. I could literally count the amount of chicken that was in my salad and we were not given the eggs that comes with the order. Feeling disgusted, I waited for our waiter to come out so we could ask for the check but he had disappeared, once again. Even when he was notified by another employee, he still had refused to come out. We notified the manager, who seemed nonchalant about the whole ordeal. My experience was so bad that I could not find it in myself to tip my waiter, which is something I always do even when the service is subpar. This location needs to clean house like the one on 135th street because the employees that lack customer service skills are making them look bad as a whole. I'm willing to give this location another try but I cannot say I will be back any time soon. read more

I keep giving this restaurant a chance but that's it. My take out orders are always wrong. Today just took the cake. Restaurant was extremely crowded, so just wanted to get out. I asked if everything was there, they said yes. Grabbed and left. Got home to find my food missing but charged to my card. Ridiculous. Never going back here. Its ridiculous to not be able to get a simple order correct. This has happened multiple times. I am just totally fed up. read more

Never in my life have a ever dealt with people that were so rude. My mother and I were there for dinner (Breakfast for dinner that night) and the waitresses walked by us for about a half hour. Every time we stopped one she said that the other would help us and when they ran down the line of waitresses, the last one said she was too busy. So we got up and walked out. If you do not want customers, you shouldn't have a restaurant. read more

Drinking my orange juice and server "Maryam" gives us the receipt and says "let me clear the table for you" and proceeds to throw garbage and papers from the table on my plate still with half a stack of pancakes. Then look at me weird when I say I'm not done with that. Excuse me? Thought it was common sense to ask if a customer is done before grabbing their plate and putting garbage on top. DO NOT GO TO THIS iHOP IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET SICK!!! Seriously this was by far the absolute worst iHop experience me and my family ever had in our lives and we go to iHop at least 5-10 times a month but NEVER GOING TO THIS ONE AGAIN! We were seated straight away and the girls were very nice and polite but it took almost 45 minutes to place an order and another 10 minutes before we got our drinks....without straws so we had to flag down another girl to get those, it took OVER AN HOUR to get our food...which was COLD AND UNCOOKED! The sausages were uncooked and seemed as though they were just defrosted but not actually cooked, the fries were half frozen in the middle and my husbands steak tips were rare when he asked for well done! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, my family and I spent over $60 but barely touched our food, and when we got home we all felt sick!!! SERIOUSLY GUYS - DO NOT GO TO THIS iHOP EVERRRRRR. I had the sweetest waitress, Joan, she catered to all my requests. I love great service and although a bit out of my way, I will be a repeated customer as long as I receive the same caliber of service. This is the only Ihop I ever go to. The food is always on point and they have staff that's been there for years (adds to the familiarity). My only gripe is that whenever I go there I feel rushed out....I know its a busy place but if I'm spending over $40.00 for breakfast for two people, can I at least finish my eggs before the check comes. The waiters also speak very loud so you will definitely know when your time is up....food is great though. read more

I came to this IHOP for breakfast recently. Basically I had a very poor experience. I came in, walked up to the desk and there were two employees there that usually ask about your party and seat you. The male and the female just looked at me. Never said a word. I was there for approximately 7 minutes just standing there waiting for them to seat me. They never did. I took my money else where. I will never return here nor recommend this location. Also, the parking lot is really small. read more

The service was pretty good at this establishment. Once entered, I was seated right away and greeted by my server. She took my order without pen and paper, and my order came exactly as I ordered. The food was quite good. Upon finishing my meal it was hard for me to track down and notify the server that I was ready for the check, but eventually she came. Worst IHOP location I have been to. EVER. The last time I went there was with my mother and sister and I think it will be my last time. We got seated at a table that was snug... really meant for 2 people so my mother asked the waitress if we could move. She said yes. So we moved to another table not too far away, and another family gets seated where we were. So after about 20 minutes- YES, 20 MINUTES we still haven't even been asked about drinks or had our orders taken! Meanwhile, the family that came in after us had their drinks and orders taken. So some random girl finally comes over and takes our drink order and says, "Your server will be right with you." WHAT?! You aren't the server?? This is crazy and I tell my mom, let's just leave. But then come the old Jamaican waitress comes over acting like nothing is wrong. My mother said I thought you forgot about us. Anyway, to make this long story shorter, this waitress takes forever with the food, brings it out cold, we speak to the manager, the waitress is like what did I do, no apology ever, she was just a mess. Didn't get condiments, brought the butter out 10 minutes later. My sister even went to the kitchen herself to get her meal fixed because it was missing like 4 ingredients! So basically this place is a mess. I have never been fan of this location. Food is ALWAYS awful. Oh, and yes, that family did leave way before us. I hate to say this and bring culture into this, but Jamaicans do not give good customer service to American blacks. They act like you are beneath them. We've had this old waitress before, years ago, and I think that is what her problem is. They need to fire her! read more

This location is hit or miss. My omelette order arrived incorrectly twice. I left hungry not wanting to risk it again. An order of French toast arrived lukewarm as if it had been ready but never brought to the table. The whipped cream was runny and presentation was not attractive. I ordered toast on the side instead of pancakes (for the omelette order) and both pancakes AND toast arrived. I spoke clearly in English so not sure why I experienced ridiculous service today. The ihop slogan "come hungry, leave happy" did not bare truth on this visit. read more

I traveled great distances to dine at this ihop. I have lived under the dark shadow of Denny's for far to long. The pancakes were made with the expertise comparable to the metal work done by the dwarves of Moria. The eggs were scrambled to perfection as if cooked by Michael J Fox himself and the dead pig slices I consumed were crisp to perfection. I would greatly recommend this establishment to any traveler in need of replenishment. Thank you our lord Stephanie for serving us like kings. read more

This Ihop *Rocks*, I usually go the 2-3 times a week. This week I went there on a Monday, it was very quiet and when I asked why, I was told my favorite waitress Stefanie was off. Sometimes I just have a craving for the pancakes at IHOP. Always get the same blueberry pancakes. The only thing I ever get. Not sure why they put it on a small plate. I like a big plate to dig in. Off street parking is good. And the restaurant is always clean. Eggs are OK. The ham and bacon are plentiful. Just gave to be in the mood. the service is pretty good. No real complaints. This was my favorite I hop location to go to. What went wrong? I took the family there this past Thursday for a late breakfast 1130am. We were pretty hungry so we ordered some extra sides with our meal, my wife ordered some crepes which what appeared to have a dark chocolate chip in it. She told me that she didn't order chocolate chip crepes so I looked closer and long and behold it was large FLY imbedded in the crepes, WTF! Ruined our breakfast and made us sick to our stomachs. We brought it to the attention of the waitress who apologized and brought it to the attention of her manager (this lady) who had no clue on how to manage the situation. She never came to the table to talk to us and just told the waitress to not charge us from another room. It was clearly the kitchens fault and judging from the way the large fly was in the crepes in was probably in the batter when they cooked it on the grill, dude you didn't see that. It appeared that the manager did nothing to reprimand the kitchen staff instead she just hanged out in the dinning room chatting with the other waitresses. On the way out the store she never looked at us or oppologized. It was as if she was trying to avoid us. Never again, we were so sick to our stomach. Will report this place to the department of health! read more

Well, we went in to the IHOP on Douglas Ave near Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines Iowa. Had been there many times before and service was just OK, nothing special. Told the hostess that we wanted a booth and she tried to put us in a half booth where the one side is split with a table next to it. We placed out drink order. When she returned, our server spilled a large glass of tea all over me and my wife. We got up and went to another booth. I thought we were going to leave, but stayed. We finally placed our order, still trying to dry out. The food arrived, just warm, not even hot. Our server told me that the manager took off part of the bill due to being wet with tea. I looked at the bill and what a surprise. Lets see, a dry cleaning for the coat is $20.00 and the manager took off $5.00 off the bill. The manager did not even come out to talk with us. I filled out a survey and then sent an e-mail to the company. The company called and gave me a case number and had me explain the entire problem. They then told me that they would let the franchise owner know and that the franchise owner would have 5 days to contact me. Well, day 17 and still no call. They just don't care about customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will never return to IHOP again, after being loyal customers for many years. read more
