I went to IHOP for brunch with my son because we were craving pancakes and breakfast food. The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and had a nice atmosphere, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our waitress was not attentive at all. Instead of checking on us, she sat at a nearby table with what appeared to be the owner or manager while they did paperwork. They were speaking loudly in Spanish the entire time, and other staff members kept coming over to join their conversations. It felt disruptive and a bit rude, especially while we were trying to enjoy our meal and talk. We were never asked how our food was, if we needed refills, or if we wanted anything else. After sitting and waiting for quite a while, she suddenly appeared, dropped off the check without a word, and disappeared again. I ended up paying at the front. Despite the poor service, I still left a $10 tip. On my way out, she approached me and seemed confused that the bill was already paid, even mentioning to the manager that she wasn't told. It was frustrating because attentiveness was missing from the beginning. The food and cleanliness were fine, but the lack of basic customer service really took away from the experience. We walked in with a person with disabilities and we had a service dog with us, i showed the hostess the dog's paperwork and she let us in, while we were seating the manager in charge came to us aggressively and demanded us to leave, of course i declined her request and gave her a little lecture of what a service dog was. She left of course upset but someone from corporate need to train this woman so she doesn't disrespect people and a service dog ever again. This is the IHOP of my childhood. My aunt loves this place. Since I last been here, which was over 5 years ago, it looked like it was renovated. The area we sat in is an addition to the building. My family and I went in during the week for breakfast. I wasn't to busy initially. We were seated at once, but the table was completely clean. So we waited for our waitress to go get her things and clean it up. Once cleaned, we sat down and ordered. Food came out hot and fresh! She had a lot of tables but auntie was handling it all with the finesse of a seasoned server, warmth as a favorite auntie all the while constantly checking in on us. Good location, a little small but food is usually good. My favorites are the big steak omelette, buttermilk pancakes and appetizers. My favorite waitress here is Miss. Joan she is always kind and sweet to me and my family when we come in. Always gives me A+ service. I won't even come if she isn't here. Parking lot can get crazy in the mornings and afternoons on the weekends and on holidays. Pro-tip you can park across the street in the shopping plaza parking lot. I ended up noticing hair on the plate of my omelet so I sent it back and then when it came back there was a hair literally touching the food a second time and it disgusted me. I came here the other day with my daughter after her dentist visit I stop at IHOP is always welcomed and I was not complaining. My daughter got the cupcake surprise pancakes and I got a stack of pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausages as usual the food is delicious and the wait times are short. Whenever I come to IHOP I always want pancakes and French toast and any other breakfast meal they provide but this time I just had to settle for pancakes and eggs. The prices are not too expensive so if you don't know what you want you can kind of experiment with a few options and still not break the bank either way I'm pretty sure you will enjoy whatever you choose. I've been to about 25 diff IHOP's across America and this one is by far the best. I gotta say the key to this place's success is the management. I've been coming here for about 15+ years since I was in high school and this place has been great since. Really friendly staff. Food is consistently on point. Very smooth operation. The place is packed the majority of the time. You can find people waiting in the hallways and even outside. But the speed and efficiency makes the wait not feel pushing at all. Lots of faves on the menu. I'm sure everyone has been to an IHOP. But the simple things that make this place great when they get it wrong it can throw you off. I never have to worry about those things here. even when ordering takeout. I can be assured when I get home everything is exactly as I wanted. Love love love this place. Especially for the candy lol. First time coming here! I'd say COVID restrictions are strict which is good as they are operating at 25% capacity. Parking lot is useful and the yelp reservation app they use is great as well. As far as ihops go, they are pretty standard. Only issue I had was that the staff didn't come to us very often even though they were operating at much lower capacity due to COVID. read more
