If you're traveling through Banning or just passing by on your way to Morongo, do yourself a favor…read moreand skip the chain restaurants--Lindo's Diner is a hidden gem that's absolutely worth the stop. My wife and I were looking for a great breakfast, and from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality by our host, Christian. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the restaurant. As we talked, he shared that Lindo's is a family-owned establishment where everyone works together to make the business successful. You can truly see the pride they take in what they do, it's like watching a well-oiled machine. The menu made it difficult to decide because everything looked so good, but we eventually settled on our favorites. My wife ordered the chilaquiles with over-easy eggs and a regular coffee with creamer. I went with a medium-rare steak, extra crispy hash browns, a side of bacon, sourdough toast, and a Mexican Coke. Every item was cooked exactly as requested, served fresh, and arrived quickly. The presentation showed care, and you could tell the kitchen pays attention to every plate that leaves the window. Before placing my order, I asked Christian if I could sample the menudo. I've had menudo all over California, and I'm pretty particular about it. Without hesitation, he brought me a small bowl. It was everything I look for--clean broth, piping hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. It even had a nice spicy kick that I absolutely loved. It was so good that I promised Christian and his tía, who prepares it fresh every day and serves it seven days a week, that I'd come back the next morning to buy some. A promise made is a promise kept. The very next day, I returned and picked up a few cups of the menudo to enjoy back at my hotel, which was only about a half-mile away. If you check out my photos, you'll even see me enjoying it in my room. It was just as incredible the second time around. Experiences like this are exactly why I love supporting small, family-owned businesses. Great food is one thing, but genuine hospitality and people who truly care about their customers make all the difference. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food, I highly recommend Lindo's Diner. Take a few minutes to look through the menu because there are so many great options to choose from. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area. 5 stars all the way.

It tastes homemade and not straight off the Sysco truck. I'm glad they have a vegan menu with vegan options for me to bring my wife. Needless to say, I'm impressed and will be back to this Mexican spot with an American diner feel based on the ambiance in here.

It's quite small, but feels cozy, welcoming, and authentic. The service was great and I LOVE that I didn't have to ask for the extras, like the salsas, cebollitas, etc. A small act that goes a long way. The cebollitas and jalapeños added on top added flavor to my burrito. It was thoughtful of them to add it on top because it didn't melt the to go plate considering our food was cooked fresh. I'd be lying if I didn't say that was one of my concern; but I was so stoked to know my food stayed warm and tasted so delicious when I made it home. Don't get me started on the salsas! The sazón and variety of spice level is everything for me; so I loved that I had options. From the mildest to the spiciest level salsa, I can say they were all made with some love. My favorite was the most spicy, it was so spicy, but I couldn't stop eating it! Heheh Loved the agua fresca options & that you can also get micheladas there. Lastly, it was well proportioned, I got full with some leftovers, which is always a WIN WIN for me Giving it five stars based on my first experience, will most definitely go back for more in the near future!

But once I brought this up to the server, my eggs were replaced in less than four minutes so all's well that ends well. The server was kind of slow in getting my bill and never offered me a refill for my root beer, but it wasn't a huge wait and I ended up not needing that refill. Again, a push. The ambiance was good.
