Instead they do something you never asked for that is totally unrelated to your problem, just so they can call you and say "come and get it." Owner has become quite surly in recent years and does not make you feel welcome at all. Don't know what their problem is. Very sad to see a once-great business turn sour like that.

I have been going to Walsh's auto since....forever...my father sent me there years and years ago…read morewhen my wheel wells rusted out, the shocks were punching through the wheel wells and what was a huge problem and expense for me turned out to cost me $300. Everyone else quoted $5000-$8000. The fix never broke. Walsh's will not waste anyone's time or money. If there is a way to fix a problem Rich will find a way . If he states it is not something he can do, believe him, he will not let anyone walk away without knowing exactly what you are looking at with your vehicle. Sad to read post on a person thinking it is about their color of skin. It is about the vehicles and the special treatment the vehicles will require from the owner when purchasing the vehicles - seriously -there are no fast fixes for Cadillacs and/or a Yukon. Sounds like the customer was looking for a way to get out from under the high cost of the dealership. Why would anyone say it is about his skin color.....sounds like the person is not thinking about the actual care of their vehicles. Plus God gives everyone their color of skin and that should carry a level of self respect.

I was told Walsh's was the place to get things done and done right. But this is not true at all!…read moreI took my car in to get the breaks and rotors done, they did the front at around $800 and then verbally confirmed the other two in the back were fine and did not need replacing yet. (Now that I see they also wrote on my paperwork that all 4 were inspected and only the front needed replacing.) 3 DAYS LATER THE OTHER TWO IN THE BACK NOW NEEDED REPLACING! I took my car elsewhere and was told that the back in usually the expensive part to replace. Nope I was charged $400 and have not needed to return. I'm not sure if I caught these guys on a bad day or what but they are not somewhere I would recommend taking your car. They even returned my car to me with the check engine light on.

Jurgen & George are rock stars!…read more Excellent work. Very fair prices. None of the "service manager" (salesman) games played by the dealers or chain operations ... and Jurgen does not rip-off women. I had a ball joint making a bit of noise. It is sealed - impossible to lube - dealer said that the only possible repair is a new suspension assembly that includes the ball joint. Jurgen has an alternative method for lubricating the ball joint, and it has been squeak-free for the past two years. More recently: Radiator flush and refill w/new upper & lower hoses and new plugs w/ boots ... it took Demmer Ford four days and four phone calls to quote $1,000 ... Jurgen required 10 minutes to quote the job for less than half the price.

These amazing people gave my car as they say in the biz, a full motor transplant. After talking to…read morea dozen places around detroit, in ohio, and one in georgia they were the first shop to find me a brand new motor. It's a fairly common motor, and is also unfortunately known to commonly fail. Somehow these saints knew where to find a brand new motor for my beloved car. Not a refurbished one with 35k miles, but brand NEW. These good people knew how to give me the actual peace of mind that only comes from a NEW engine. This is a really fantastic family-run shop. I am ignorant to actually understanding how a car runs. In the past I've almost had panic attacks when it very unrealistically seems like everything in my car is just going to fail all at once. This time was different. These saints didn't let me get close to feeling like that. These kind people VERY gently reminded me that only my engine was new. And even more gently they reminded me that the rest of the car already has 64k miles on it. This husband and wife really didn't need to be as patient with me as they were, and I'm extremely grateful that they were. I'm going to confidently assume that if Cars of Novi can find me a brand new motor when no one else in three states could, they can probably also find your unique car's unique parts that need to be replaced. I am also exceedingly appreciative that they brought both my car and myself back to life. Based off what i have experienced, I'm confident that Cars of Novi will also do a great break job, oil change, or whatever else you need qualified mechanics to do for you. Thank you all again!
