I contacted Nick and he said that he'd give me $450 for the car and that he'd meet me whenever, which was a legitimate offer that I was happy to consider. While he ended up sending one of his guys out to get the car on time, he (his employee) immediately said that the "catalytic converter" was bad (I had just recently put $1,000 into the car and had a full checkout of the car from the shop; this was never found to be an issue) and tried to now take it for $350, and this after showing up and saying that the settling price over the phone was $400. This "catalytic converter" problem was apparently what his boss had said when he sent him a picture of the car. Since I was from out of town, I wasn't going to have any major qualms and settled with $400 but figured I'd write this review. So, by all means use Nick's Cash for Junk Cars, but just be ready with backup offers and others on hand so that he doesn't slash you for the little money that you'll end up getting anyways.

I left and found the part, got 20% off the price and it was shipped to my home FOR FREE and I had it in about TWO DAYS. I called the store and spoke to the manager who gave some lackluster excuse for the reasoning in the above. My suggestion is to look on the website FIRST, and get it shipped to your home! Rashid told me they could apply POR-15 afterward, so based on that I paid to have the Jeep towed down there. After it arrived, everything changed. Rashid started questioning the project and for over a week I was given the runaround. Multiple times Rashid told me he would "talk to Scott figure out a solution and call me back," but the call back never happened. Every time I followed up I got the same vague response and nothing actually moved forward. Rashid knew all of the details prior to me towing it down there. If this wasn't a job they wanted to take on, that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of telling me to bring the vehicle down and spend money towing it there. It's extremely frustrating to be told something can be done, only to have the shop avoid giving a straight answer after the vehicle is already there. Very disappointing and unprofessional way to handle a customer. I wasted time and money because they couldn't simply be upfront about whether they were willing to do the work.
