Do NOT go here.
I went in to get both front and back screens repaired due to a cracked screen on the back and buttons on the front screen pressing themselves without me touching the phone.
I left my phone there for two hours and returned to collect it, with the back fixed and the front apparently not possible to repair. All this was fine.
When I left the shop I keyed in my passcode which I'd also had to give the guys here so they could test the screen, and the minute the keypad unlocked, a very old private picture of myself (from three years ago) was open on screen - without me having even had to open my photos or camera roll.
This was a picture numbered 177, and I currently have almost 1000, so it is something that the staff here would have had to scroll very far up to find - which obviously means they were having a good look through all my pictures.
I went back minutes after leaving the shop and confronted them about it, and the guy - who was not the one I had dealt with on leaving or collecting my phone - claimed no responsibility nor gave an apology and did not offer a refund on what I had paid for the back screen repair. He claimed it the phone "accidentally" clicked on the image itself and that they "wouldn't be that stupid" as to leave the image open - not exactly reassuring me that trawling through personal images on peoples phones is something that they do not do.
The guy I had originally dealt with was behind a screen in the shop and didn't come out to talk to me, but briefly conversed with the new person I had was now dealing with.
I understand the risk of having private images on my phone, but even so, it is my phone, they are my images, and I have control over who sees them. As a "legitimate" store which they claim they are, I do not expect something like this to happen, and I was not treated with any respect under the circumstances, only told that I was wrong. read more
