This is a clean place with newer machines. Very nice. But there is only 1 6 load machine, 1 4 load machine, 3 load machines and 6 1 load machines. So not a lot to choose from. And it's a but pricier than other places. The dryers are a bit of a ripoff. It's 4 minutes for $,25 but the machines stop and go back the other way continually so you get considerably less than 4 minutes. Plus, I put $ into dryer, went outside to read and came back in only to see the dryer stopped asking me to hit 'resume' for some reason. Arrrgh. read more

8/31/23 was my second visit to this location as I work in San Rafael but live in Vallejo.. I was looking forward to a quiet visit in this nice location BUT, another customer of the laundromat decided to take my clothes out of the washing machine as I was literally outside waiting for my timer to go off. When I found 2 baskets full of my belongings, I was understandably frustrated but did not see who had done it, so I did not make a fuss. After drying was compete and I got all my things back into my car, the guy who was parked next to me in his company van approached me in my car and started accusing me of stealing his "dress" and he was about to open my car door and was ready to rummage through my things. I have never in my life put my hands on another person's clothes - common courtesy is to wait for the washer to be empty before putting your stuff in! He was adamant I stole something from him and threatened to call police and took a picture of my license. After making me show him all my personal belongings and yelling back and forth for maybe 5 minutes, a woman inside told him his things were in there and he finally went back inside. MACHINES: 14 total washing machines and 10 dryers. Household top load: 1 load $3.50 (3 available) ---Not sure why this one costs 50 cents more than the next size up--- Commercial front load machines as follows and take about 30 minutes per wash: 1.5 loads $3.00 (6 available) 3 loads $4.75 (3 available) 4 loads $5.75 (1 available) 6 loads $6.75 (1 available) 10 dryers, 25 cents per 5 minutes. 2 change machines. (The Washer/Dryers here only operate on quarters). There is a sink with soap, hand sanitizer and paper towels. Please dont wash your under garments here. That's gross. This sink is for hand washing. I noticed a small vending machine for detergent but I brought my own because these things tend to be pricey. There are trash and recycling bins under the tables where you fold your clothes. There is 1 bench inside to sit and wait. Not nearly enough seating if the place is packed. There is also a seating area outside with a small table but it's in the sun and even on a cool day like when I went (69 degrees) it was BRUTAL. When your washing machine breaks, and it's filled with wet, soapy clothes, what's a girl to do? Checked Yelp, and found a laundromat right down the street. Hours are great at 5am to 1030pm. Drove on over, and the door was stuck to get in. The kind young man at Donut Alley next door popped the door open for me. Thank you to him, and be sure to get the best donut in Marin while waiting for your laundry! Impressed with the newish looking washers and dryers, and the cleanliness of the facility. A regular wash takes 29 minutes, and costs $3. They also have bigger washers at $4.75, $5.75, and $6.75. Dryers say 25 cents, but I don't know how much dryer time that is. So, if you have to go to the mat, this is a good one, and have a Donut Alley donut while you're at it! read more

Great laundromat. It is very clean inside and they even put up art on the walls to decorate. The only thing that is a little unfortunate is that there aren't as many machines and one family of four take up about ten washing machines, leaving the other two people in the place having to wait for them to finish their loads. I won't necessarily badmouth the manufacturer of my washing machine (GE), but I will say that there's 1 brand (GE) that I won't be buying any appliances from again because of a history of inconsistent reliability in my own personal experiences (GE). Like for mostly everything else under the Sun, I checked Yelp for laundromats. iDoLaundry is nowhere near the closest laundromat to my house, but it's not too far from the gym I like to go to. & the reviews looked the most promising. So, 5 stars for a laundromat? Yup. Even though it's not a combination laundromat /coffee shop or /convenience store or /cocktail bar or /dance club. Nope, it's just a plain ole laundromat. 5 stars on Yelp is "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" & this is the nicest laundromat I've ever seen. It's in a nice, quiet location & was nice, clean, uncluttered & quiet with light music playing in the background inside. As far as I noticed, all of the machines were in perfect working order. It felt like the Zen meditative tranquil version of doing laundry at a laundromat. Very relaxing. As nice as iDoLaundry is, I would rather do my laundry at home. But while I'm thoroughly researching & shopping (so I don't get stuck with another lemon, GE) for a new stackable, front-loading matching washer & dryer pair, it's good to know that there's as nice a laundromat option as iDoLaundry available. read more

Very clean and efficient. I drive about 15 minutes since I can't imagine doing my laundry some place else now. They have a online pay system if you don't have quarters which is useful. The new owner does not seem to come into the business as the prior owner did during the day to handle issues such as broken machines, litter left behind, soap spills, etc. The place is generally unclean if you get there after 10 a.m. and the machines all seem clogged with non-eco-friendly detergents. Lost money in the change machine, tried to call the number on the wall and reached a "number not accepting calls" message. Still trying to obtain a refund almost a week later! What used to be a friendly, clean, neighborhood spot with a caring and present owner now seems to be someone's side-hustle with which they have as little direct contact as possible. Good selection of machines, not usually crowded and they have worked when I come. I come occasionally to wash large items that require a front loader (sleeping bags, etc). However, today, Sunday, both change machines aren't working. There is even a sign that says to go to the donut shop for change. That was closed. The nice girls at Mags yogurt made me change. I guess my attitude is "you have one job". Make sure I have a way to feed quarters into your machines. That was a fail today. I haven't been to many coin laundry places but this has got to be the nicest place I have been to. We were passing by on vacation and needed to wash some of our clothes. The prices were decent. The machines were clean. What's strange is the people in this town. Larkspur, from what I gathered, is a very wealthy community. Houses are in the millions for areas about 1,500 sq. feet. Anyway, the whole town seems like a scene from The Truman Show except that the people are rude jerks. Twice, I smiled at 2 people and got blank stares. I drive out of my way to use this laundromat because of how clean and spacious it is. The machines are conveniently organized against the walls and they have two bulk load machines. They also have a change machine, which is awesome. The clothes baskets are numerous, so you don't have to race to grab one because there's never a lack. The dryers work very well, I've never had to run the dryer for more than 30 minutes. The place is directly across from a great coffee shop with amazing quiche, so really it's a pleasant excursion rather than a chore. It's clean. It's quiet. It's got WiFi. the management is friendly and deals with broken machines promptly. The dryers are fast (the owner once told me it's because they actually keep the lint screens clean...imagine that!). There's a frozen yogurt place down the lane and a donut shop next door. They have a deck with a picnic table outside. There isn't a better laundromat in the Bay Area. We've been to a bunch of 'em, too, since the machines in our building are never available when we need them, and all of the places in the Sunset are either broken-down hovels or have no convenient parking, so I know what I'm talking about. We actually drive well out of our way to come to this laundromat. I'm a little apprehensive to even post this, because it feels like a well-kept secret that I don't want to become public. As other reviewers have noted, this is an extremely well maintained self-serve laundry. Very clean and well decorated with multiple machine sizes/options available (top load, front load, extra large, extra extra large). Not only is the laundromat itself reason enough to come here, the customer service is outstanding. Robert (pronounced Robere) is generally here when I come in. He has a very friendly demeanor, and has even offered to help me fold (!). The owner Bill, was here the last time I came in and when I showed him that my white laundry had become pink due to an errernt brown sock on my part, he actually paid for a more expensive washer for me to re-wash it AND gave me bleach. This business continues to fail to enforce the indoor mask requirement. Today I observed the owner in a long conversation with a customer who was not wearing a mask. The customer stayed in the store long after the conversation was over and failed to put on a mask at any point. Unfortunately, this has been the theme at this business throughout the pandemic. There is a small sign on the door requiring masks, but the door is generally open so that the sign is not apparent when one walks in, and customers frequently are inside without masks. We were looking for a nice launderette to wash some bulkier items so we decided to make it a day trip based on reviews and drove down from Petaluma ...yes, Petaluma. Everything was just as nice as other reviewers said. The Launderette is neat, clean, and well managed. WiFi too! The donut shop next door is sweet and makes the wait so much easier. I've been doing laundry here for over 5 years. The space itself is usually fairly clean, as is their other laundromat across Magnolia, but my main complaint in both places is the washing machines. Unfortunately, much of the clientele does not use eco-friendly detergents and the machines are often clogged with toxic-smelling cleaning products in the space where detergent is added, and the smell inside the machines is often terrible--strong chemicals and abrasive agents that are highly problematic for those of us who are used to environmentally clean(er) products and avoid unnecessary scents. It would be OK if there were machines reserved for users of clean products, but that is not the case (and probably isn't enforceable). But this is my main complaint about both of these places. Maybe some educational articles about products that are healthier for both the planet's environment and our physical bodies could be posted on the walls for people to consider as they wait on laundry? read more

There's even a sink with hand soap and hand sanitizer and paper towels. Because the place is so well kept people using the place can't help but keep it clean. It's in a perfect part of Larkspur. This place is really wonderful. I had a lot of large bulky bedding pieces. With their machines that even hold 4 or 6 loads I was able to get in and out quickly. All of the machines were in working condition and very clean. The entire place was very clean and cute. They have a change machine that worked perfectly. It will only give quarters for face value. So if you only have a $20, you will get $20 in quarters. Also the dryers worked really fast and I was so excited my bedding didn't come out with that old burnt smell that you can get from older machines. read more
