Mushroom burger an fries. Nicely done fresh ingredients and toasted bun with crisp fries.

Been a while since I've come here. Bit slow on service but the waitress must have been on break. Nice clean tables warm atmosphere. Have a rain deer skillet with gravy. Dad had a mushroom burger and fries potential. Need better gravy. Onions were not sautéd long enough.

The food is average for a breakfast diner. My issue is the price. It was $22 for what looks to be one egg scrambled, 4 pieces of bacon and two average size pancakes. I expressed my shock to the manager or owner, and she dismissed me saying it was not expensive, she was offended that I mentioned that. So I thought hmm maybe with inflation the prices are higher now so I did a little research. At snow city cafe in Anchorage, which is one of our nicest breakfast style diners the SAME meal is $16.00 the deadliest catch breakfast which is a hell of a lot more food than I pictured below is $19.00. So I looked at a similar average breakfast diner like IDOs, called Heidi's. The meat and egg combo with two pancakes is $14.95. More food given. What the heck? My question is.. are they taking advantage of inflation and over charging their customers? I don't find this right or fair to their customers. I will not be back.

Eggs, hash browns, link sausages, and English muffin.

This place has become a favorite breakfast place for me. They open early, every day, but they close at three during the fall and winter months. A breakfast at 7-7:30am is hard to find in Soldotna. I usually sit at the counter for quick, excellent service. Their 2-egg or 3-egg set-menu combinations have something for everyone. My favorites are the 3-egg with hash browns, and toast or English muffin; or, the 2-egg with 4 sausage links, hash browns, and toast or English muffin. I also order these egg breakfasts with 2 large pancakes, without the hash browns or toast/English muffin. The pancakes are very good. Breakfast is served until closing time. The menu is fairly large and sandwiches and burgers are available. However, I come in for their quick breakfasts.

Ate breakfast there this morning. I asked for the hash browns to be cooked with very little oil. The cook did a great job on the hash browns as well as the ham omelet. It was nice and hot off the grill. The menus said they will sell breakfast any time of day. Service was cheerful and very good. And the dining room was very clean. They also had a wide variety of menus options throughout the day. I will visit here more often.

This was a find! Didn't find it on Yelp this morning when we searched for a breakfast place. We are stranded in Soldotna with the mud slides in Cooper Landing. They should be cleared by noon so we were looking for a place to have a sit down breakfast before heading North. Nothing on Yelp but we drove through Soldotna and saw Ido's was open before 9am! We stopped in. The waitress was beautiful, young and pleasant. I had a veggie omlette. My husband had coffee and eggs with reindeer sausage. We both had hash browns. The atmosphere was quiet. Lots of decorative touches. The prices were typical Alaska.

Great little place to stop for breakfast or brunch! The service was quick and courteous. Our food came fast and was delicious. Happy to have stopped in for some food and coffee with friends before our hike.

Basic subsistence food, not spectacular. Very slow for a Sunday. Lot of fishermen. Try some as last resort

What a disappointment! We walked out after waiting over 30 minutes for a simple common breakfast of eggs hash browns and toast.

So, my neighbour has been nagging me for some time now to call in to "that place with the railcars"…read morejust outside of Soldotna, but I'd not yet been. Though she hadn't mentioned there was a restaurant, she raved about the coffee shop and waffles. So my friend and I were coming to Soldotna last weekend, and me, as usual, am frantically searching Yelp for something with 4/5 stars. Addie Camp came up as a contender, with a solid 4.7 stars, but I hadn't realised it was where the railroad cars are. So we decided to give it a go. What a beautiful area it is, once you get up into the parking lot! It's very neat and tidy, and all the little railroad cars surround the central parking lot. And there's really massive solar panels to the rear. I liked that. There was not a scrap of trash anywhere. Very inviting. So we head into Addie Camp, and I'm wowed. It's beautiful inside, cosy and welcoming, yet very modern. The staff are lovely. The hostess asked if we had a reservation, but as we didn't she invited us to sit at the bar. No problem! They have tables upstairs, and in a railroad car to the side. It's absolutely beautiful, and features a lot of warm wood, but not old wood, very light modern wood. I tell you, I'm in love with this place. Anyway so we sit at the bar, where Sam was mixing cocktails. Sam is very pleasing on the eye, I might add. He was using Fevertree Tonic in one of the cocktails, and I told him that Fevertree's Elderflower Tonic is one of my fave drinks ever, and he said he loved it too. Anyway, so upon perusing the menu - it's not a huge menu, but there are plenty of things I'll eat - I ordered the Gold Star Elk Burger with rosemary fries, and my friend got Gambas Al Ajillo (Spanish style wild Patagonia Shrimp in a spicy olive and herb citrus sauce served with fancy bread) and we both opted for a Train Track Tonic Mocktail, mainly because Sam the bartender told me he had elderflower syrup, and it was featured in one of the mocktails, so I was sold. The napkins are fabric, and the silverware is fancy, heavy, not your usual restaurant fare. I was quite impressed with how quickly we were served, because it was quite busy. The food itself was outstanding. The bacon jam in this burger is EPIC and it's not your usual tiny bacon crumbles, it had chunky bits of bacon, and was sweetly gooey, but savoury too, absolutely the best bacon jam I've had, and it just gave the already amazing burger a boost it didn't even really need. There's no way to eat this burger in a dainty ladylike fashion, it's a beast, and the bacon jam is messy, but I went with it, and Sam got us some extra napkins. About 3/4 of the way through, I had to go knife and fork on the burger. I wasn't leaving any of that thing. The fries were good, the burger good, the mocktail good, excellent service, very attentive. This is unquestionably THE best restaurant on the Kenai Peninsula, and I can't wait to come back with my husband, next time we're down there. And, I did see regulars come in and be treated like they were old friends. After my experience there, I can see why people would keep coming back, it's THAT good!

We arrive and the line of folks waiting for seating is quite long and disorganized. Eventually someone comes out and tells everyone to all their name to the list of people that is accumulating. Hmm... this does not bode well. We wait about a half hour for our name to be called. When we are finally seating or drinks come promptly, but then we are forgotten for over 10 minutes. No one mentions them being out of anything. And of course, they're out of the one thing I want. Now I'm pissed. And I'm hearing they say its going to be about a 45 minute wait. We're starving. I should also mention, I am an VERY patient person. But as a basic standard, I do expect restaurant staff to communicate regarding delays and if they are out of things. Send help. I don't know if we are ever going to eat. Look for the skeletons setting toward the back of the restaurant. ‐‐----------------- Update: Upgrading from 1 star to 1.5 since we finally ate. The food was fine. I see why everything takes so long- way too much time on presentation for diner food. It was fine, but absolutely not worth the wait. Like at all. It was a chef salad, and a french toast not a work of art. These things should not involve a greater than one hour wait. And they forgot my salad dressing, so I had to track down the waitress to request it. Dear lord, help me. Cannot recommend.
