Sounds like a small thing, but for our family, it's a big deal. Second, we've gotten several things framed here, both custom and not. We were here this week to pick up some standard size frames, and we never fail to find attractive options. The frames have been moved to make way for the new Joann Fabric section, but that's fine. Third, they transitioned to a system where everyone does self-checkout, but if you have Michaels rewards or coupons, or both, there is always someone there to help you navigate. We want to recognize Zen for helping us maximize our savings this past visit.

The fee $75, included a skeen of cotton yarn. We needed to provide our own hooks. The project we were making was a headband. Only one person completed it. The first day there were 8 students and the instructor had an aide. If there hadn't been an aide I feel there would have been too many students for a beginners class. Some of the students demanded a lot of the instructor's time. It was difficult to get clarification. The second day there were only 5 of us and just the instructor. The instructor had to spend a lot of time with a couple of students but she was more available on this day. She helped me with my stitches and showed us how they could be used in projects. Her one-on-one demonstrations were critical to my learning. I give 5 stars for Angelica, her knowledge, teaching ability and patience. I think $75 was high for the value.

They also have classes for both adults and children. I did not try the classes cause I was already a crocheter and I took up knitting during Covid, but I am glad they have these classes. There is just something about being in a yarn store where there are a group of people just sitting, talking, and making things... Another plus, owner is super nice. Very helpful but never pushy. Sometimes the hubby and kids are helping out in the store too. All in all, visiting this store always lifts up my spirit!

It is hard to find a great upholstery shop. We last went to a European Master Craftsman years ago…read morein Lafayette but he retired. Lucky for us because 15 years ago he was 1-1/2 times more expensive than what we paid recently at a different shop for better quality material and similar craftsmanship. We found Tri-Valley Upholstery (TVU) in Pleasanton after searching and doing some research. My wife reached out via e-mail to inquire about the work we needed and later followed up with pictures. Tri-Valley gave us an estimate and we scheduled an appointment to bring in one chair for evaluation and finalized specifics. We met with Eduardo who was very helpful, energic and enthusiastic. We picked out the material, received a sample, approved the material and scheduled the project. TVU did a beautiful job on reupholstering 6 chairs with a really nice piece of leather. Seats are taunt, tucked perfectly around the chair backs and the bead is spot on. There was a real minor tweak on 3 chairs that TVU took care of quickly. Dropped the chairs off and the next morning they were completed. Eduardo and his team are talented, very responsive, knowledgeable and produce quality work to make customers happy. If you need something reupholstered, give Tri-Valley Upholstery a try. You won't be disappointed and they are priced well.

I have an upholstered bed with upholstered side rails on both sides. Unfortunately, the side rail…read moreon one side of the bed cracked when it was plopped down on too roughly and I didn't know who to go to to repair it - the original store (Crate and Barrel) was completely useless. Fortunately I found Tri Valley Upholstery. I send them pictures of the damaged rail and made a "reservation" to bring it in the following week to be worked on right away so as to have as brief a down downtime as possible. Ed at Tri Valley was great - I brought it in on a Tuesday and was able to pick it up on Thursday beautifully repaired for what I felt was a very reasonable price considering the work that had to be done and the excellent job they did. I highly recommend them!

I emailed again today to find out the order had been canceled. They issued a refund but didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I'm annoyed that no one bothered to do me the courtesy of reaching out. It's basic customer service. This is a time sensitive project and I just wasted 10 days of my time waiting for these drapes.

After placing my order, I emailed a delivery request, to see if they could accommodate. Instead of contacting me, to communicate that they could not honor a request, they cancelled my entire order, and sent me an email that stated I had cancelled the order. I had not, and so continued to email them confused about what was going on. Rather than communicate with me, to see what I wanted to do, and have me make a decision on my order, they cancelled it. I will be going with a different company for my curtains, because I think it's important to speak to the person who ordered and work with them, over making assumptions about what they might want.

This is the second time I had Aby reupholster the same bench. We recently made some upgrades to our…read morebedroom, so the bench needed a refresh as well. Aby did such a great job the first time, we didn't hesitate for her to do it again. I sent her a few inspiration pictures, and when I went to pick out fabric, she already had narrowed down the samples for us, which streamlined the selection process. A few weeks later Aby let us know our bench was ready. It was exactly what I wanted, and the fabric had the perfect texture and color. I'm sure I could have bought a new bench for the price of the reupholstering, but I don't think I can find one that's custom made exactly as I want.
