PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS ‼ The first time I brought my schnauzer there to be groomed it was a nice experience, the only complaint then was that her eye lashes were cut after I specifically asked them NOT to be cut. But because the overall grooming by Tracey was good. I accepted their apology. Her lashes are still growing out. Today I took my dog back to be groomed specifically asked again NOT to cut her lashes! When I pick her up I notice that one is much longer than the other . The owner calls me to apologize and relay that the groomer Sheldon said " he was very mindful of her lashes and they were uneven from before". I don't believe that at all! It's too obvious (see the pictures) that he cut it and doesn't want to admit it. I love to support black women owned businesses but the lack of accountability is not cool. And oddly she was okay with losing a customer. read more

They cut my German shepherd while trimming her and then claimed it was a past cut but she has never ever had that happen before. We usually take her to Petco or pet-smart but we wanted to try something new with our fur babies. We took them to this establishment and after decided that we should never take them there again. My husband and I brought our Yorkie to IDEAL PET GROOMING for a haircut and a flea bath Saturday 9/28, like we would typically do and have done in the past. Apparently some time during the bathing process chemicals from what the owner told us was a medicated shampoo got into his eyes. Instead of stopping services and notifying us right away they proceeded to rinse, blow dry and cut his hair anyway. Upon picking him up the owner told my husband what had occurred, and after looking at him he noticed he couldn't open his eyes. The owner stated it's normal, as it can sometimes happen during the process. She told us they had rinsed his eyes out for 20/30 minutes, and to allow 24hrs for the chemical residue to subside from his eyes. Afterwards he should be able to open them again and everything should be back to normal. She told us if not, we could bring him back for his eyes to be rinsed again. As upset as we were my husband paid and we left. Within an hr after leaving his eyes started to leak badly. My husband called. The owner again assured that in 24hrs his eyes would get better. Within 3hrs his eyes begin to crust. At this point we're livid. Called the owner again notifying them of what's happening. The other owner states this is apart of the process as he has been a groomer for a long time. He and my husband got into a heated discussion in which he turned the phone over to his wife, and she nonchalantly states we told you before you left to wait it out, but you've called back twice already. She told us that If we wanted to take him to the vet we could and we would be held liable. They were only going to do again what they had already done. As it is stated in their disclaimer they are not responsible for any vet bills that would be acquired. Nor myself or my husband has signed any disclaimers at anytime prior to a service since first taking our dog to this place. Here it is well over 24hrs after his services and his eyes are crusted shut. The negligence of this whole situation could have easily been prevented during the initial process on yesterday had they communicated upon the initial chemical contact. Now I'm taking him to the vet as we should have after leaving. We entrusted this place to do a service, but instead of showing compassion she the owner so intrusively stated we are more than welcome to find another groomer to take our dog to in the future. Talk about integrity! "Touché" better believe this was his last time, because the botched haircut that came along with his chemically treated eyes is DIABOLICAL! Per the Veterinarian, due to the poor judgment decision made on behalf of IDEAL PET GROOMING, had we acted any later he was at risk of going blind. Check your pets folks! I was able to walk right in (although appts are prioritized, which is totally understandable). Nonetheless, the timing was perfect or something because he was all set in a little over an hour. When I picked Winston up he was having a blast with all his new little friends. My sister LOVED his adorable haircut and he smelled like a dream. I also found out she hadn't groomed him lately because some other place had cut up his poor lil belly and she was scared to trust anyone. Horrible customer service!! They didn't do what was written on the check in form. They have EVERYTHING on video (supposedly) to verify my story but won't share the form or video in order to "prove" my story. My complaint and story isn't exaggerated. My dog was hurt during this abusive grooming appointment. I have pictures but can't attach them. My dog was sooooooo happy to see his family but started shaking when he got in the car. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My dog has long hair and likes to adventure in tall grass so he gets matting in his fur. I took my dog in for a bath and deshedding which I do regularly at other places. When I picked him up, he was completely shaved. I was shocked since this is not at all what I asked for. After looking at the dog further I noticed razor cuts in his skin! See picture. When I called back and spoke with the manager he says that he did what I asked for and if I wasn't such an abusive dog parent he wouldn't have needed to shave him. I was super impressed with my first experience with Ideal Pet Grooming. I visited their store location and it is very beautiful and serene inside. I called when they opened and they told me it was okay to come as a walk in. You are greeted like family on arrival. My girl (a morkie) was taken to meet the other fur babies and was invited to play at the daycare while she waited for her grooming. She had fun with the staff and her new playmates. When I picked her up...AMAZING transformation. They have magic hands. She looked beautiful and smelled soooooooooooooooo good (kinda like butter pecan ice cream). The absolute WORST so-called groomer and facility I have ever encountered!! The front staff was incredibly rude and put out to even be there. I specifically asked for a sani cut which includes bath and trim around the feet and rear end. I then got a call saying my dog has a handful of fleas and needed to pay an extra $20 for flea bath. I said yes but was in shock since my dog is on Trifexis on a regular basis. I now know that was another scam. I received a call only 2 hours later to pick up my dog. Much to my horror they SHAVED my American Eskimo which should never be cut because it ruins their coat and now her under coat is for sure ruined. The owner was incredibly rude and obviously has no clue on grooming different breeds of dogs. He obviously wants to quickly shave every dog and upcharge for flea baths so he can leave. My dog is 11 years old and I have never encountered anything like this! If you love your dog, stay far away!! read more

I called Ideal Pet Grooming around 12:30 Friday and they were over at my house by 4:30. I'm not exactly proud to admit this but I likely have the dirtiest dogs in all of Pearland and Ideal did an amazing job with them! My husky has never looked so clean! I had Ideal de-shed the Husky and WOW, she looks like a whole new dog! It was a bit expensive but that's only because I had my schnauzer's hair cut.
