My mother took our Havachon puppy here to get a grooming since our normal groomer is unavailable…read more Our puppy has curly-ish hair and he's mildly fluffy but he has dense & short hair so he's not prone to matting or tangles. His haircut looked an absolute mess as they left parts of him longer than others AND left choppy spots. Not only was the haircut a mess but they decided that he magically had hair knots in his ears so they decided to PLUCK it out which has resulted in my puppy developing an ear infection. When a groomer finds an issue with a pet they should be advised to talk to the owner about any "solutions" prior to them performing anything. This was not done....We also did not find out about this UNTIL after we visited the vet and called the groomers and that is when they informed us about the ear plucking. His ears were so irritated that his ear canal started bleeding and developing puss. You could only imagine how uncomfortable this is for a PUPPY. I do not recommend this place at all.

She also took Luna in for a last minute appointment even though she closes early today. Very very accommodating. Overall a hidden gem that needs to be more known! After extensive research I chose this place and it will be my first and only groomer for my baby :) P.S I think we chose the 4th cut because we didn't wanna make her look too bald. Clean, the place didn't smell of urine. Quiet, there wasn't a ton of machines running and dogs barking. I believe this is because the place had lots of space and rooms to compartmentalize, rather than packed in one small room. Kind people, the lady was very nice and accommodating to my requests. Con: The actual haircut didn't look that great. The groomer listed when I pointed out some fixes and adjusted accordingly. However I could tell inherently, the cut wasn't that great. It was even and the wash was done well, but the actual aesthetics were not there. My shih tzu was done in a way that left her eyes looking very sunken in. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Petco Grooming today, especially because today is…read moremy dog's birthday and I specifically scheduled a grooming appointment so she could be groomed for her special day. Her regular groomer was already booked, so I scheduled with someone new. When I arrived, I gave the groomer specific instructions about how I wanted my dog's hair cut. I don't think there is anything unreasonable about providing detailed instructions to a new groomer who has never groomed your dog before. The groomer then asked if I would prefer for her regular groomer to do her instead. Of course I said yes--if that was actually an option. He went to the back to check, but her regular groomer was not available. After that, I was told that the groomer was "not comfortable" cutting my dog's hair. The grooming manager then came out and told me that because he was uncomfortable and they were booked, I would have to reschedule. I explained that rescheduling was not a reasonable solution for me. I had an appointment, it was my dog's birthday, and I had planned my day around having her groomed. What was even more concerning was when the store manager became involved and explained that they had been receiving complaints about this groomer, that she did not feel comfortable with him cutting my dog's hair either, and that he was still in training. That left me with an even bigger question: Why was my dog booked with someone whom management admittedly did not feel comfortable having groom her? If an employee is still training and does not feel comfortable completing a particular groom, I can respect that. I would much rather someone be honest than risk doing something incorrectly. However, that is a staffing and management issue--not something the customer should have to deal with after arriving for a confirmed appointment. At that point, I believe the grooming manager/trainer should have stepped in and honored the appointment rather than simply turning me away. Instead, I was left calling around at 3:00 p.m. on a Sunday trying to find another groomer who could take my dog at the last minute on her birthday. What makes this even more upsetting is the amount of money I spend at Petco. I spend entirely too much money at Petco to be treated so terribly. My dog's food, treats, toys, medical care, grooming, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, clothes--EVERYTHING comes from Petco. I have consistently chosen Petco for practically every aspect of my dog's care, which is why I expected much better treatment and customer service than what I received today. The entire situation was handled very unprofessionally. I am a paying customer with a Petco membership, and this experience has seriously made me reconsider whether I will continue that membership once it ends. When a loyal customer spends this much money with a company, the very least they should receive is professionalism, respect, and a reasonable attempt to resolve a problem--especially when the problem was created by the store's own staffing decisions. I had to cancel my dogs birthday party as a result because I did not want her to have her not groomed on her special day! Just ruined my entire day! I will not be returning to this grooming location. Customers should be able to trust that when Petco accepts and confirms a grooming appointment, they have someone available who is actually qualified and comfortable performing the service.

This is a large and truly impressive state-of-the-art veterinary hospital complete with exam & treatment rooms, labs, O.R., rehab, grooming and boarding. Upon high recommendations, we made an appointment to take my grandson's Preschool mascot in for a "checkup." We were immediately greeted by Ms. Melody who was very sweet and accommodating. The waiting room is divided with one side for canines and the other for their small feline friends. Dr. Collin Hummel ushered us in! He was gracious & lots of fun--sharing all about the facilities and giving us a full tour. The staff is always busy tending to their patients but warm & welcoming. How I wish they had a sister healthcare place in Broward, but if I lived in Fort Bend County, Texas, this would be the choice for all of my Nala's healthcare and grooming needs.

On the phone Mr. Booker seemed to understand what I wanted. I was told it would be all good... I was not. When I showed up I should've known... I showed up 4 minutes early then was told to walk my dog on the grass (so the "grass" was in between the parking lot isles which had glass) but I had trust they'd be nice then they plopped him in a crate while yelling to get a leash. I was like how do they have 155 reviews at 4.7. It must be for a good reason right?! As I went to my car a grandma was dropping off a dog at the same time so it made me feel better. When I picked him up...He then said "half his eyelashes were cut"!! As a dog mom I thought okay maybe he moved? Then when their only payment is cash or Zelle (red flag/or supporting local) he mentions my dog scratched him and I lied about the size of my shih tzu. I pick up my dog and look at his front nails and they looked ok. I should've looked at the back. When I brought Chewie into my car to see his brother they are usually so excited... Chewie immediately ran underneath my car seat and didn't get out til the garage door closed while I parked...at my house. I was livid. Then they didn't mention they cut my dogs quick "because it happens a lot", but they did mention they cut Chewie's eyelashes. My dog was so scared I could not reach to pet him once. So I called the owner the story changed 4 times. Started with "he wanted to jump off...He jumped but we got him...Then he had the lead on and tried to jump..." then finally "he could never jump w the lead on." So who knows the story because their cameras don't work-I asked. He has been boarded for many vacations and groomed many times and never showed this behavior. While on the phone with the owner I asked to see the area they were bathed in..he said that was not possible. I just wanted to see how it could've differed from his previous groomers. Owner/groomer said they would groom him today, even without an appointment. Keep in mind this was at 11AM. They told my father in law to pick up our dog at 5PM (I was thinking to myself that's WAY too long to keep a dog to get groomed). We come at 5, THEY WERE CLOSED. They told us to come at 7PM instead. That's VERY suspicious. I'd also like to add when they asked what breed our dog was (he's a yorkie) they mentioned they had 3, but they're girls. We come back at 7 AND STILL CLOSED, no one in sight in the store. So we called and called, no one was picking up. We finally get an answer and we're just demanding to get our dog back. I don't care if he was half done or anything. I just wanted my dog, period. IT TOOK THE MAN 30 MINUTES TO BRING HIM OUT. Like what are you doing with him? I ended up calling the police, because no one was answering, no one was in the store, the store was closed, I still didn't have my dog. Like what else was I supposed to do? Leave my baby in there and not know what they're doing to him??!! They brought him out with the leash so tight you can hear my dog choking. :( I got so mad and told the man he was chocking him.
