I scheduled an appointment weeks in advance and even took a day off from work to attend. On the day of the appointment, just a few hours before, I received a text saying it was canceled due medical professional who was going to give me service had family emergency. While inconvenient, I completely understood--family emergencies happen, and I was willing to wait. I called to reschedule and clearly asked for April 1. The representative on the phone confirmed the date, and I even received an email confirmation for April 1. I again took a day off work, showed up on April 1, only to be told my appointment was actually booked for April 4 in the afternoon. Even after I showed them my confirmation email, they brushed it off and blamed a "system error." Still, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I explained I couldn't make the April 4 afternoon slot and asked to reschedule for April 4 at 10:00 AM. The front desk staff told me it was confirmed--right to my face. Later that day, I got a call saying that the 10:00 AM slot was no longer available because someone else took it. How is that even possible when I was just there and confirmed it in person? They then asked me for new availability and said they'd call me back to confirm a new appointment. I gave them my dates, waited--and never heard from them again. This was not just one mistake. It was a string of careless errors, miscommunication, and a complete lack of follow-through. I wasted two full days off work for absolutely nothing. Absolutely horrible customer service - I have requested to have the same provider for every treatment after the second provider was unprofessional, rude and downright unpleasant. Every appointment they have tried to put me with someone new. I have asked it be in my chart to keep the same provider. I confirm when I book my appointment. I called and spoke to the provider herself who put the notes in personally when booking my last session. Low and behold, I arrive and they have switched me again. The appointments are never on time. If you are late, you get charged and have no grace period but they are consistently 30min or longer behind due to their lack of scheduling abilities and regard for their clients' time. They removed a service from my package and then took 2 months to remove said service from my bill. I called 15+ times before they actually handled the request. I'm struggling to write this review because 2/3 of my treatments were positive with very kind people. However, in the last few treatments I've had nothing but issues. I had a provider who continuously argued what she was willing to do because of "new area guidelines" despite telling her this is what I received for all of my treatments thus far and was discussed at the time of my contract. The woman was insistent that she would not continue to the 1/2-1inch area that was APRN approved at the time of my contract. He manners were curt and her demeanor was one of superiority. She proceeded to follow me out to the counter after not getting my treatment. There was NO point in getting g a half job...and asked the lady at the counter to print out the sheet to passive aggressively attempt to show me the areas. I told her VERY clearly multiple times I understood what she was saying, but I'm telling her that the treatment I wanted would be the one laid out in my contract. No dice. Cut to today. After using the SAME lidocaine for 11 treatments I was told that I could not be treated because it wasn't prescribed by them. I was told early on in the treatments that I could go get lidocaine OR they could prescribe it to me. I took advantage of grabbing it myself. So another treatment wasted and another push back of my end date. Because of these constant issues I will be losing out on treatments. I planned far in advance to have treatments completely done by October to not interfere with my honeymoon at the end of December. To continue would me I would have to change my life plans and stay out of the sun on our island vacation. If the experience was what it was from the beginning we would be in a very different spot. If I could leave less than 1 star I would!!! This location and this company will rip you off!!! Don't go there!!! I had a full year contact with them and during that year, they canceled on me numerous times. After my year was up, I made an appt to start paying per service, and they told me the price I would pay. I went to my first appt, and when I came out to pay the total was $100 more. They said they raised their prices 3 days prior to my appt. THEY NEVER SENT AN EMAIL OUT OR TOLD ME ABOUT THE PRICE INCREASE BEFORE MY SERVICE!! I called Corporate and they gave me 2 free sessions, and scheduled them. I drove 40mins to the appt only find out they canceled it on me, and NEVER called me to let me know. Then they told me those 2 free sessions were expiring and I wouldn't get them. I called Corporate again! They extended the exp dates, and rebooked me. I asked what would happen if they canceled on me again. Corporate told me I would get refunded my money. Guess what?!? They canceled the appointment again! I called Corporate yet again, now they tell me they won't refund my money. I don't want the full session refunded I want the different in price refunded. I have been coming to this office for years.. about 4 to be exact. I have been burned 2x ever, in small areas, all subsiding within 2-3 days. I went 2.5 weeks prior to my wedding because they said it'd be a perfect time. (When scheduling months ago, I made note of my wedding and said I didn't want to cut it close just in case and this was the appt they offered me). I followed directions. I hadn't been in the sun for months. I shaved. I had nothing on my legs. (Although my skin does hold color for a long time) but it is the job of the professional to move forward with treatment or reschedule due to color, that's not my expertise. When I sat in the chair I immediately said I'm getting married in two weeks - I don't want to do anything different. She repeated that back to me and said "ok so no risks". Perfect - we had an understanding. THEN she started. At a level HIGHER than previous. I hadn't been in there for months, why would she go up in power? I was "darker" than normal, why would she go up in power? Clearly she was inexperienced and/or negligent. Normally when I get treated I am quickly in and out / able to deal with the pain. It was difficult for me to get through three zaps without needing to kick up my leg or clinch my fist. I mention to the difference in pain and how it was unbearable and nothing that I've ever felt before in my 40 laser hair removal sessions. Her response was " now you know it's working". My legs were stinging and I told her that. She had no suggestions so finally I asked for an ice pack. She did not even offer that to me - who is the provider here? Leaving that room my legs were covered in dark spots turning purple and very raised. They are all over both legs front and back top and bottom. They continue to get worse with my wedding quickly approaching. Clearly I will not be able to wear short dress for my rehearsal dinner. And they have also ruined my honeymoon because not only do I not want to have my legs out because of the appearance, but I would be damaging my legs further due to the sensitivity caused by the burns. For this reason I need to cover my legs and keep SPF 50 on constantly on what is supposed to be the best trip of my life. Long story short I told the provider my concerns and my wedding dates and yet she still went up in power ignored all of my complaints and all of the red flags during the session and completely burned me all over my legs. They are trying to say this will subside in a few days but it gets worse with every hour. I know this will not go away because the smaller burns on smaller areas that I've had in the past took longer than two weeks to go away. It makes me sick to think about how long I will be stuck with these spotted purple legs. Thank you ideal image for ruining my spirits right before my wedding and ruining my honeymoon. Maybe they should get some providers in there who are able to determine whether treatment is appropriate based on color of the skin, and based on reaction of the legs after treatment. They should also get some providers that listen to their patients and don't act negligently to find themselves in these situations. The workers are great, the company is not. I have been trying to get my refund processed since March but cannot get any response. I was told back in March by Doreen that I would have to wait for the facility to open back up after the COVID shutdown. I recieved a voicemail from Brandi asking when I'd like to make an appointment and they were open but nothing regarding my refund. We are talking about $6,000 here, I deserve to have emails and calls returned in a timely fashion. I spoke with a representative over a week ago and was supposed to be contacted. I also asked for Brandi's email as I was told she's the manager. I emailed Doreen and Brandi, both again, and have not recieved any response at all. To be clear, I have not recieved any services from this facility or any Ideal Image location. I paid money to them nearly 4 months ago. After I paid, but within the 45 days stated in part 4 of their terms and conditions, I contacted them for a refund. As I type, I have been on hold for over 11 minutes and have yet to speak with a human. I also tried the prompt for billing and was on hold for 16 minutes before I called again. I really should have checked Ideal Image reviews before giving out my credit card. I went there thinking I was going to have ultra therapy. Because of the meds. I was taking (which I should have been asked prior) When I happened to mention to her she then told me I was not a candidate I left. When I got home I noticed they had charged my card over 2,000.00 dollars. I called them and they told me I needed a doctors note before I could receive my credit Had I not mentioned it to the girl. God only knows what would have happened. After calls to North Haven office with no help I called their main office I was told I did not need a note from my doctor I would receive a credit, well I am still waiting over two weeks I called again yesterday still no credit . The only way is to call a lawyer. he advised me to dispute it with the card company give it another day or two then start legal proceedings (they will be responsible for his fees and the interest if charged in the process. After reading all the other posts I realize many people have had the same problem. With all the other good and honest spas out there hopefully consumers will never use this facility. Ideal Image is a terrible business. Do not sign a contract that is non refundable. They can keep your money even if they refuse to provide the service. This company has very shady business practice. I agreed sign the contract for filler injection. When I went to have it done, it was not recommended by the provider who was to give the filler. The informed consent she provided made sound way too risky. They would not give a refund for this, instead I had to agree to another procedure. I reluctantly agreed to a laser procedure. They said someone would call me to schedule. No one called me. I tried calling many times, no one answered the phone. I even called the 800 number and someone put me on hold and dropped the call. I went to the office to schedule in person, there was no one there. I called their corporate office, complained again and they refused to provide a refund for service they did not perform. I finally agreed to have botox injection. When I went in to have it done, the provider said I was too tan, possibly sun burned and he could not do the botox. I was not sunburned or tanned, I was not wearing make up. The provider did not believe that I was not sun burned and refused to provide the service. Once again I called the corporate office and they refused to provide a refund. Frankly, I do not trust the competence or business practices of this business. I would not recommend them to anyone. This causes for my waiting period between my treatment to prolong (which is exactly what they are aiming for)!! And this is also not the first time this has happened. I completed my round of treatment. I was initially told that I would need a follow up about once a year. I have found that my hair is growing back rapidly and when I inquired about the frequency of the laser, I was told that I had started over at the lowest frequency. I asked why, and the woman told me that it was because you start over if it has been over a year. But here's the thing, my last treatment was six months ago, I am back within a year because hair is growing back. When I explained that six months is within a year, she had no response and basically said that I was starting at the lowest frequency, do I want the service or not. She was very rude and unempathetic. She said the recommendation for tough ups is every three months. I was told a year, HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FROM A YEAR TO NOW EVERY THREE MONTHS. I must have upset her with my inquiry because she then did a horrible job with my service. She completed the service of my three area within 5 minutes just gliding over the areas, no attention to detail, no white pencil, no attention to cracks and crevices - the areas that I struggle to get with a razor and thus wanted the treatment for. I believe that because I am paid in full and the touchups are at a lower rate, they just don't care. But I have paid the many thousands of dollars for the initial treatments and have been continuing to pay for touch ups since they are becoming ineffective at this point. read more

I had been getting treatments done for a while and was promised that extra treatments would be covered until the unwanted hair stopped growing back. As it seemed I was getting closer to being done, I was told that they had changed their policy and only required 90% hair removal and after that I had to pay $70 per extra treatment, meanwhile I still had dark hairs growing back in the treated areas. My experience working with Ideal Image has been nothing short of amazing. After just 4 visits, my hair was reduced by 70% (although I do have fair skin and dark hair). I suffered from razor burn and ingrown hairs that were so bad I needed to go on antibiotics. Laser hair was a life saver. Yes, laser hair is expensive. Full bikini, under arms, and lower legs ended up costing around $6700. However, this is permanent. Based on your credit, they can put you on a 36 month payment plan which broke down to about $184/month. Three years of payments was worth a lifetime of no more discomfort and embarrassment from razor burn. It's painful, but the results are amazing. I do need to schedule a touch up which can cost anywhere from $50-100/area. Again, this permanent solution is around the cost of one waxing. After seeing my results, I've had multiple friends sign up for laser hair. Amy, Ideal's consultant, was honest about the results I could expect to receive. She deterred me from getting my upper legs done because my hair was too light for the laser to pick up. The only people who use the laser are Physicians Assistants (PA) and Nurse Practitioners (NP). Why would you want a non-medical professional using a laser on you at a spa? I would recommend laser hair removal and Ideal Image to anyone. My only regret is that I didn't go in for more areas! read more
