The redness and pain kept getting worse so I went to Dermatologist and was told it appeared to be an allergic reaction to the pigment and not to do any follow up. I told Doreen about this and once again she dismissed my concerns and insisted I do the follow up. Now, 5 months later I still have scarring and pigment "blotches" nowhere near where my brows should be. I will not follow up based upon my Dr. advice and recommend NO ONE let her butcher their face. Michelle highly recommended micro-dermabrasion as a treatment for this, and my mother has been going for this treatment about once ever 3 weeks since then - as well as some sort of a radio frequency treatment (can't recall the exact name). Since she has been going, her acne scars and large pores have been significantly reduced, and skin elasticity greatly increased. Michelle is a nurse aesthetician who is very knowledgeable about the treatments and products she uses. She is very good at explaining how they work and what they accomplish. She's also not one to BS you into buying a treatment you don't need. I have only visited Secret Beauty a couple of times myself, but I would like to add that not only is she a super genuine person, she's also a complete bad-ass. If you visit (which I hope you do!) make sure to ask her to tell you about the time she chased down some kid trying to steal her car.

I could not get through to speak with someone to book my appointment, it was made by text message. I left messages and was not called back. Upon going to get a microdermabrasion treatment done, no one ever showed up and the "business" was dark. I waited 45 minutes. I called, I texted, I left a voice message stating I expected a CALL BACK that day. I received a text message six and a half hours after my appointment stating there was an emergency and they're sorry they missed my appointment. I'm not sure why they felt a text message would be an appropriate alternative to a phone call. So unprofessional. The next day I received a call stating the same thing, there was an emergency. I have multiple issues with this. Everyone has emergencies, I get it. But, I was not given the courtesy of a phone call, then the excuse of not having my information to get in touch sooner was used. What kind of business keeps all its contact information and scheduling on one phone that could be misplaced or with someone who has an emergency? Also, what kind of a business doesn't actually verbally call someone after not showing up, and then just texts them over 6 hours later? What a waste of my time. I purchased a groupon for this "business" and I called groupon to be refunded. When I called, they reported that the seller (secret beauty) had CANCELLED my Groupon already with no explanation. I don't know what kind of trickery is going on here, but this business IS A SCAM. DO NOT GO HERE. One last thing if you're still on the fence, sort these Yelp reviews by newest date. If you still think this business is legit, then good luck. You're wasting your time.
