I don't normally sign on to review places, but feel compelled to spread the word about this place…read more Clarity is an absolute GEM! Exactly what I've been looking for in a spa/massage place. Clair (the owner) is absolutely incredible! She aims to make the entire experience as relaxing and pleasant as possible, from the moment you step in the door, until the moment you float out. Great location, clean, comfortable and peaceful treatment room, skilled therapist and an overall relaxing experience. Five stars all around!

Claire, the owner, is extremely welcoming and kind. Water, tea, little snacks are available to satisfy our human needs. I start to relax as soon as I see her. Now to her offerings: check out the menu of services. My favorite combination is the one hour massage with a facial afterwards. This allows Claire to focus on my body massage for the hour and then my facial completes the healing. Now to the experience. Claire is a little bit of heaven. I told her that everyone's version of heaven is different. Mine is having her complete a massage and then starting all over again. There is simply no one to compare to Claire. And if you have had a personal trauma in your life, Claire is an accomplished Reiki practitioner and an overall healer. She can clear your chakras and transform your trauma, though it may take more than one session as it did me. Do you have fibromyalgia or another autoimmune disease that is persistent and painful? Claire is a healer and can help. Definitely reach out to her. You won't be sorry.

They request that you call ahead of time in order to avoid any wait time, but if you walk in, it is usually only about a 5-10 minute wait to be seen. The woman doing the waxing makes her clients feel very comfortable. I can be quite chatty during a wax and she was attentive and talking with me the entire time -- I really appreciated it! One thing to know is that they do not accept credit card tips so be prepared with cash on you! Usually they have an ATM at the salon but right now it is out of order. Seriously, this is a great local business that has been there for 10 years. I am so thankful I found it on Yelp so that it can be my go-to spot anytime I'm home.

Massage Envy is my go to massage chain. One of my favorite locations in CT is the Milford office…read more Why? Because of the exceptional service, which includes the front desk staff, especially Caitlin. She has assisted me with booking appointments, updating payment information, rescheduling appointments and is overall amazing in the over seven plus years I have been a member. FIVE STARS (for the therapist only)…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at the Massage Envy in Milford, CT -- specifically with how the front desk and membership policies are handled. First and foremost, my therapist Joan is absolutely amazing. She is kind, professional, and truly talented at what she does. I will genuinely miss my sessions with her, and it's unfortunate that situations like this hurt therapists who are doing everything right. Due to a financial hardship following a car accident (which is also the reason I've been receiving massage therapy), I needed to reduce my membership. I was told I could place my account on a 3-month freeze and still use my accrued sessions by paying $20 instead of the regular $80. I agreed. Because it's so close to the holidays and money is tight, my card didn't go through when they attempted to charge me a second time in the same month. When I called to understand why, I was told the $20 charge on 12/14 applied to November, and now another $20 was being charged on 12/22 for December. While I can understand the explanation, it does not change the reality that I simply don't have extra funds available right now. I asked if I could cancel my membership and be reimbursed for the services I've already paid for. I was then told my account is on suspension and that nothing can be done until I pay the additional $20. So essentially, I'm being told that to access or recover services and funds I've already purchased, I must first pay more money toward an account I'm trying to cancel. To make matters worse, the manager was not in today. The front desk associate told me she would send an email explaining the situation and that the manager would call me tomorrow. How is it that there is not a manager readily available, the way there is at virtually any retail or service-based business -- especially when dealing with billing disputes and hardship situations like this? This entire experience has been absolutely ridiculous, inflexible, and incredibly frustrating. The lack of compassion and proper management completely overshadows the quality of the actual massage services. Experiences like this drive loyal clients away and unfairly impact the therapists who work so hard and genuinely care about their clients.

The medium solution was a perfect match. There are also options for additives to better highlight your skin tone, which I opted against as it was my first time spray tanning in quite a while. I had to exfoliate a little in between my fingers the next day to remove a bit of discoloration, but the rest of my body looked perfectly fine. The booths were clean and stocked with barrier cream, hair nets, towels, nose plugs, and eye ware. The only downfall was that I had a hard time hearing the instructions over the fan of the booth. I will definitely be returning to Palm Beach Tan if I am ever in need of another spray tan.

She does have limited late hours, but works for herself and therefore is flexible with her scheduling. The studio is a large one room space, divided into different areas...waiting area, reception desk, facial area, changing room, etc. It is a calm space with lots of beach themed decor. After changing into a strapless wrap/top, Maureen first did the facial which was really great...I have only had a few facials in my life, but this was one of the better ones. I was very relaxed and calm, even while we chatted during the first half of the services. Once she moved on the foot massage towards the end of the services, I was definitely in a zone of total relaxation. So much so, that I drifted off to sleep for a few minutes before realizing she was almost finished. I had a hard time sitting up and getting off the table and back to reality at that point. I was impressed with not only her skills as an esthetician, but her friendly nature as a person and as a professional. She offers an array of services including facials, nail care, waxing, and Reiki.
