The manager at Ideal Image lied to me, hung up on me, refused to provide me a copy of the contract they were billing my credit card under. They refuse to post or provide their business license. My husband, a proud United States Marine Corps Vietnam veteran, and I sought non-surgical body contouring services from Ideal Image in good faith. As a military family on a fixed income, we expected this company to uphold a standard of professionalism, transparency, and ethical care. What we encountered instead was a string of misrepresentations, poor communication, and a complete disregard for client well-being. We initially discovered Ideal Image's CoolSculpting procedure online and were encouraged by the claims of a minimally invasive treatment with minimal downtime. On September 9, 2024, we each underwent a virtual consultation. During that session, we were asked to remove our shirts and identify the areas we wanted treated. We were both told that our target areas--including my chest, stomach (top and bottom), and love handles, and my husband's similar concerns--could all be addressed effectively through CoolSculpting. When we asked about post-treatment skin elasticity, the sales rep casually assured us that it would not be an issue and claimed she had "never had complaints." We moved forward based on that guidance, each financing $3,500 through their in-house medical credit provider. My husband's first treatment was on November 12, 2024. Only then were we informed by the technician that his chest and sides were not eligible for treatment and that he would have to choose between his upper or lower stomach. He proceeded with the lower stomach, suffered a week of severe pain, and ultimately saw no results. My experience began on November 19, 2024, and was no better. I was told I needed clearance from my primary physician to rule out gynecomastia before proceeding with chest treatment--something never disclosed during the consultation. After receiving a formal diagnosis confirming gynecomastia, I was told that my chest was ineligible for CoolSculpting altogether. Again, this was a complete contradiction of the initial promises made during the sales pitch. Between both of us, we spent $7,000 and received zero visible results. When my husband brought up his concerns during his second treatment on February 12, 2025, the response was not to investigate or offer alternatives--but to upsell him on more cycles. The same happened to me at my second and final treatment on February 20, 2025. I declined. Why spend more on a service that had already failed to deliver? To make matters worse, when my husband left a review expressing his dissatisfaction and the financial strain this experience placed on us, Ms. Jasmine McPherson called to offer a follow-up consultation. I agreed, only to be told that the lack of results was due to a three-pound weight gain--an excuse I found both flimsy and insulting. I am well within a healthy weight range and not significantly different from when the treatments occurred. When we met with Ms. McPherson in person, her response was cold and rehearsed: "We don't offer refunds." No acknowledgment of wrongdoing. No accountability. No attempt to remedy the situation. Even worse, she admitted that the initial sales representatives aren't medically trained, and that first consultations should never be conducted via Zoom--two things we absolutely would have considered before moving forward. We were misled, overpromised, and under-delivered at every step. To take $7,000 from a retired Marine veteran and his spouse is unconscionable. As of TODAY, Feb 14, 2025, the Florida business license on this location is listed as DELINQUENT! I had to look up the license because the snarky, vindictive manager, JASMINE, refused to give it out. Apparently, the company posts license information in employee only areas and does not share it with customers. This policy appears to be contrary to Florida State licensing laws??? State Attorney General's office should be looking at this, and certainly there should be an investigation by the licensing board. I will be filing a complaint with the licensing board to launch an investigation. My horrible experience was being sold a procedure which would never provide the results I was sold. No services were rendered. The manager, JASMINE, was very unprofessional, dishonest and vindictive. Days later I find out the locations license is listed by the licensing board as DELINQUENT. They charged my credit card even after I asked the receptionist to cancel my membership with them. I moved to TX and at my last visit I said I wouldn't be using their services anymore and to cancel the membership. She said she would take care of it and I was still charged a year later $299. I moved! I called the "executive" office and they said I had to call the 800 number to cancel the membership. The receptionist never told me!!! I asked for a refund and they said there isn't anything they can do! Money greedy people! Its a shame that customer service went way down hill.... I would probably give a 0 if I could. This place is fraud. I spent over 10000 dollars with them on me and my daughter's laser hair removal. Due to some medical condition, my daughter could not continue and I requested them to deduct her treatments and credit the remainder to my account, so I could use it for a service in future. They said they will and when I went to schedule, their response was that money has EXPIRED!!! How can money expire without using for a service in a YEAR OF PANDEMIC when half the time we needed to reschedule because either the technician was sick or we were!!!! The place is absolutely unprofessional. You would think if someone is spending over 10K in their treatments, they will be more courteous and ready to help. This is not a place you want to go. There are several other nice ones like Nude Hair removal, Perfectly Bare Hair Therapy etc. which are not lynching your money. I have been fighting my case for over 2 MONTHS and the customer service is useless. They do not get back nor work on your case. The front desk told me that "go ahead call customer service, they will be even less useful than us". They did not even tell me who can I escalate this to or talk to about getting either the money back or service. Horrible experience. I should have read reviews before working with them. I reached out to Ideal Image in regards to laser treatments for dark spots. They required a zoom consult to go over your specific issues and to sell you a membership. We went over the reason I needed the treatment and I purchased the membership with 3 laser treatments that we scheduled once a month for three months. Of course they didn't mention they didn't have any appointments availability for over a month until after I joined/paid. I filled out the health information at that time then waited a month for my first appointment. Last night, I got the same health questionnaire in a text link, my information was already filled out so I just resubmitted it. Today was suppose to be my first visit, they called two hours prior to my appointment to cancel stating bbl isn't for the dark spots/melasma. In addition to being a complete disregard for my time and money, they can't refund directly, it has to go to their manager and then corporate. I should have looked at their reviews - better business bureau has a one star rating with almost 1600 complaints. *Update: Originally I was told someone would call me in 5-7 business days in regards to refund. Posted this review and received a call stating I needed to sign a contract to receive a refund. I received a DocuSign which stated to receive a refund I had to remove this review. Out of principal I called back and explained I would not be removing the review as I feel like this is not good business practice and others should be able to see honest feedback on businesses. She then backed down and said I would receive a refund. I then sent a follow up email to the representative, Kinsey, confirming I would be looking out fort the refund within 21 days as she had advised in our conversation. Within a few minutes she called me and said the refund department said they will reject the refund if I do not sign. Came in to get a consultation. They use high pressure sales tactics. They offer a package that includes 9 sessions but she told me I probably wouldn't need more than 6! When I said I wanted to think about it her attitude quickly changed! When I left she didn't shake my hand say thanks for coming walk me out or anything! She asked me to leave her office door open! I spoke to someone I know who said their prices are ridiculous even at 50% off. Why pay for 9 visits when you probably only need 6!? I called for a better price and she offered 60% off retail that still wasn't a good price. She then went on about how the other place doesn't have good lasers and blah blah blah. I found another location who charges only for sessions you use. Making it A LOT less expensive for the same thing. I have been happy with their treatments. Place is kind of dirty too. I'm usually not the type to complain but I figured I'd share my experience. Long story short, I purchased a cool sculpting package of 16 sessions ($5575.5)... used 12 and was told I transferred 4 over to do lip fillers (2 cycles=1 filler). I scheduled one of the lip fillers in September (they usually last 6-9 months)... told them I would be back the following year in June to use the other. When I called to schedule the appointment, they said my contract expired. I informed them of the situation and how their employee transferred over credits and didn't mention any expiration date. They said they would email the account manager and she would follow up. I called every week and kept getting a different response. Either there was no record of me calling or that the account manager no longer worked there. Called again today to be told that there was an error and they transferred more than what I had and that I used up all my credits already. I'm very organized and write everything down. Someone must have either told me the wrong thing or there was some type of mistake on their end. It's not even about the money, it's about the principal of how they tried to put it on me when clearly they messed up on their end. I would honestly recommend taking your business elsewhere. The clinicians are top notch at the Ideal Image in Brandon, and do the procedures with expertise and kindness. I have had several procedures there and some of them can be uncomfortable, however the clinicians are professional, patient, and always very knowledgeable about the equipment, what to expect, before and after care, and answer all of my questions to my understanding. I thank Deborah, Katie, Lauren, and all the other clinicians that I have had the pleasure to have gotten to know. I go here for my laser hair removal. The staff is nice and talks with you during the treatment which helps the time go by faster because the treatment on my legs hurts pretty badly. I know it'll be worth it in the end, but being only half way thru treatments and knowing it's only going to be more painful in the future worries me! I had to ask for a hand mirror to tell her what I thought I needed. She was too busy with her calculator. Then another lady came in & said she would do the procedures without analyzing my face. They lady with the calculator quoted me a price & stepped out. When she came back the price had went up about $1000.00. No thank you. Very unprofessional. NIGHTMARE- At signing I was given information about the company and how laser treatment works. One information that stuck out was about applying the laser on an area that DOES NOT need to be treated, because an opposite affect will occur if such thing were to ever happen.....My treatments lasted for quite a while and I was happy with the Wesley Chapel location that I was going to at the time, I then had to move and switched over to the Idea Image location in Brandon. A young lady by the name of Shea is who I was mostly scheduled with. On my first visit she asked me where my problem area was and I explained and pointed to the quarter size area where the upper neck & jaw line meet. We prepped and everything was going well until Shea started to apply the laser onto my entire neck. I quickly asked her why was she treating the whole neck as suppose to the one specific area? NOW I was concerned about the opposite affects. Shea pointed out to my Face & Neck chart and explained that the entire neck area was highlighted and she was following the chart and to not worry about it for two reasons. #1 your paying for the entire neck area and #2 what ever new growth appears due to the opposite affects will be taken care of every time we apply the laser. She had assured me that everything was going to be fine. My 3rd visit was with a different tech by the name of Diane or Diana, we went through the same routine....except Diana only applied the laser onto the Original problem area. I told Diana what Shea had been doing because new growth was starting to occur on areas that I did not have before. Diana asked me to sign a document which I denied at first because all the required paper work was signed at the time of payment in the Wesley Chapel location. Diana claimed that this document was not given to me and it was not in my records, it needed to be signed. The document stated that Ideal Image can not provide results for patients that have a presenting symptom of Hirsutism. My dispute with Ideal Image was that I never had or ever been diagnosed with Hirsutism and that this new growth was caused by a poorly trained tech that took the decision to apply laser onto areas that were not suppose to have been treated. The manager at the time approved additional sessions in hopes that a resolution would be met, but unfortunately this did not resolve the growth. Ideal Image corporate office approved several more sessions since the Brandon location had exhausted their ability to approve anything more. After I told Ideal Image that I was going to seek legal council, Shea was surprisingly no longer at the Brandon location, she was transferred and then later quit her position. Unfortunately due to high legal fee's I could not sustain the case against Ideal Image. As of today I still suffer from this awful outcome/nightmare caused by Ideal and hope my story can save someone else from ever experiencing malpractice from this place. read more
