However, the last two times I've walked in, I've had to eventually leave because I could not get a single person to wait on me behind the firearm counter. Now I understand that the demand is high during these times but the crowd didn't seem to be too much larger than normal. A simple acknowledgement of my existence or a confirmation of eventual help would have been much appreciated. I'm not going to write them off at this point or give them a low star count because of the positives I previously mentioned, but I would implore folks planning a visit to go during "off hours" to assure they are able to handle/purchase the items they desire.

If you have 3 hours on a given day and have an adventurous side, this is a must try while you're here! ------ WHAT WAS IT: * We did a three hour private experience and that included the instructor, the firearms, the ammunition, the targets, and everything else relevant to the experience * We went to the Jackson Hole Gun Club and someone was out there waiting for us to arrive -- it felt very personalized * Immediately we were handed our protective ear and eyewear and were taught about safety while at the club * There were two of us and we each took turns shooting different targets with each gun. We were fortunate enough to have Scott as our coach, who was very knowledgeable, patient, friendly and engaging. We were able to shoot a range of rifles, pistols and dessert menu items (machine guns and 50 BMG) . My son chose most of the firearms, but we all loved everything we shot and had a great time. As a mother, my main concern was safety and Scott was very diligent about explaining the safety for each firearm and what to expect. Scott was also helpful with his shooting tips and pointers especially because we had different levels of experience. I think he really made the difference and both of my kids couldn't say enough nice things about Scott. For the general experience, I think if you have more than two people in your group it becomes more cost friendly. The dessert menu items were additional, but ended up being a lot of fun and a great way to end the 3 hour experience. I also want to mention that the communication was really easy booking this experience with everyone being so nice with my many follow up questions. I have been treated poorly several times in my life as I'm sure everybody else has. However, today…read moreat about 5:20 5:15 was the first time I'd ever been treated like s*** at Cal ranch in Rexburg. The girl they have billing people out. Shouldn't be doing anything when it comes to customers. She didn't count my change back. She just handed it to me. Didn't say thank you didn't say nothing. So I said thank you and she's like yeah sure. What's the deal with that? The last time I checked we pay her wages by doing business there and if she don't like dealing with customers then she should probably find a different job. I make random trips to Salmon every month and so I think I'll just start doing my shopping at Murdoch's they are always kind and say thank you for coming in ask how your day is going ask if you need any help with anything else and they actually count your change back to you correctly instead of just handing it to you and letting you do your own counting.
