I think this is the same roll icecream store we have in Connecticut called 0degree... everything on the menu is absolutely alike. I love it there naturally I love this as well. My favorite is the strawberry shawty... strawberry, ghram crackers and a vanilla baseball smashed and smeared till it firm enough to be rolled into icecream... $6.95 and unlimited toppings to choose from.. nuts, candy fruit, popping boba. Wow, I thought watching teenagers struggle to scoop hard ice cream was a lot of work. I can see why they have a tip jar here. My wife had been here before and was familiar with the concept, so as soon as the temperature dropped below 40 degrees I brought her on a surprise field trip! Brrr... The concept is that you pick a starter dairy liquid and some toppings, they chop it up on what I believe is an anti-griddle (thanks Food Network for that tidbit) which flash freezes the mixture while they push it around to get it as thin as possible. Then, it is rolled up and topped with whatever additional things you want. The amount of work necessary is staggering. I ordered the mint-Oreo one, which took forever to freeze. They had to turn down the temperature on the anti-griddle and confided that this mixture took the longest. Still, it was only about 3-4 minutes. It was fun to watch her do her magic. I later splurged and had a cherry, some Kit-Kat candy bars, and gummy bears added. They have several dozen various fruit, candy, or snack treats that can be added on top. The cost per ice cream was $7 each, plus a tip which I consider mandatory. It was good but not great. First off, I like ice cream with chunks of stuff in it and this was finely chopped. Instead of mint with hints of Oreo, it was like drinking the milk after dunking mint Oreos. My wife hates pieces of stuff in her ice cream so she probably loved it. Some of the color combinations look downright revolting even though they probably taste heavenly. To freeze mine they really made it cold. So cold it bent the plastic spoon by 90-degrees and when finally the ice cream would break free... sproing! That temperature also froze the gummy bears into hard to eat blobs. Next time, leave them off. All in all, I had fun. My wife had fun. It is a neat concept. Now that I have done it once, I might order differently next time. In my mind it wasn't better than the ice cream that costs 1/3 as much from the local place nearby, but I can see the novelty of it. read more

We wanted to love this place because we LOVE ice cream...and to have a place so close to home would've been awesome. However, we were so disappointed. This all sounds amazing until you actually taste the ice cream. It had no flavor at all. We tasted the M&Ms that were on top, the whipped cream, and the Kit Kat bar. They take a 4 or 6 oz cup of a tasteless liquid (not sure of the exact ingredients), pour it on the cold tray, chop up a tiny cookie (or whatever ingredient the flavor is you decide contains), roll it up, and put it in a cup. It looks pretty, but it's hardly any ice cream. We will not be going back, but will take our $7+ (per 4 ounces)somewhere that the ice cream has taste and we actually get some ice cream for our ice cream loving bellies! I went here a few months ago with a local meetup group and had a great time. This is a newer icecream/boboa shop in a strip plaza off of 146. I ordered a boboa tea but lots of other people ordered the special rolled icecream. Cream is poured on a cold metal surface and scraped with flavorings and toppings of your choice. Once everything is mixed the iced cream is spread out thin to freeze and then scraped and rolled into your icecream dish. There are some really fun toppings including a roasted marshmallow! I recommend this place as a fun stop on a family outing or date. There is minimal seating inside but it is decorated cutely with their mascot polar bear and other things. I was so excited to try this new ice cream place! I've seen this concept on Food Network and was excited this concept has come to Clifton Park! The service was incredibly disorganized and SLOWWWW. I know it takes longer to produce the product and it is cool to watch, but then they need more ice cream stations to keep up with demand. I received my ice cream after my husband was halfway done eating his and after people behind us got theirs! I ordered chocolate ice cream with Oreos and the ice cream had zero flavor. It barely tasted like chocolate! It was also extremely hard and was difficult to eat with a plastic spoon. They put one Oreo inside the ice cream so I couldn't taste any Oreo flavor either. Once your ice cream is in the cup, you get to choose "toppings" which are so skimpy it's crazy. I asked for walnuts and Oreos. I got one tablespoon of walnuts and one whole Oreo - so I had to break up the Oreo myself in the cup with the plastic spoon. You can guess how that went. The price is $7. The presentation is great. However, the price you pay for the quantity of the resulting ice cream would prohibit me from coming more often than a very special occasion.
