This is a 15 min drive from the apartment for me, and so consideration of if it is worth the drive is definitely there. I come from Chinatown in NY where boba is plentiful, just to give a idea of experience. It is important to note this location is a Kiosk located right infront of Journey's inside the mall, so you will not find it on the directory! Overall I was satisfied. They use syrup instead of powder to make their drinks (which we prefer, powder makes chalky tasteless drinks). It is a bit pricey as none of the drinks come with a topping.. they were generous with the boba in my son's cup (he had tons). The flavors were good. Most importantly our boba was super chewy, not hard or over cooked! I would return to satisfy my boba desires, but do not expect this tk be fancy place!

I'm so glad I finally tried Icy Bar. I still need to try their rolled ice cream, but their boba is definitely not to be skipped. I've only had boba one other time so I went for the same flavors as I did at the last place. I got the strawberry lemonade with strawberry popping boba. I actually think I might like Icy Bar better, which I'm glad about because this place is closer to me. For covid, they had all the normal things in place and had a bit of a guard between the stand and the customers. Only downsize of that is between the guard and masks and can be a bit tough to hear so be sure to speak up. The employees were polite and quick. I will definitely be back.

Y'all. This place is so fun! I am new to rolled ice cream, and I hope to enjoy it again soon! It took a minute to decide what I wanted, but eventually decided on the matcha flavor. What ensued was immensely entertaining and satisfying. My face hurt from smiling so much that I was relieved to ice it with the highly-anticipated reward. Our whole group was super happy with their orders and the process. We are now big fans of rolled ice cream. Great job!

This is the first rolled ice cream place in the area. It's a little stand in the middle Isle, across from Garage, north of the food court. I ordered the vanilla, and I think I could easily become addicted to this ice-cream. It's a stiff cream. I'm not crazy about the flavor options, I just wanted plain ice cream, like strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, mint, cake batter, and pistachio. You know, just plain common flavors. The vanilla I ordered was probably the most plain mix they offer. Be prepared to wait This place is more novelty, it's mostly about the experience. You can stand and watch them create this ice cream in front of your eyes, so each order takes a good 5 min.

I have seen the trend of Rolled Ice cream for a couple years and have been so intrigued by it. Alas I have not even heard of it being served in Chicago when much to my surprise we have a place here!!! I love Matcha Flavored anything so naturally I had to get the Matcha lover. It has strawberry, condensed milk, whip cream, Matcha Koala biscuit, Matcha pocky sticks, and Japanese red bean on the side. I was most happy with the texture as it is light but not fluffy like snow ice. Also it was fun watching them make the "rolls". Will want to come back and try other flavors like the Vietnamese Coffee. Yum yum! I gave 4 stars because it is quite pricey for how much you get though and I have yet to try the boba teas.

It's pretty much the only real bubble tea place in Michianna area that you can find. It's inside a big mall so could be hard to locate. The classic black milk tea is great and the tapioca pearls are free :) I might get that green tea next time!

Best place in Michiana to get bubble tea! I tried the bubble teas here several times and have not been disappointed, they're very similar to the authentic versions I've had. It's hard to find something authentic that is a true bubble tea with real tapioca bobas as opposed to the jelly-filled candies that a lot of places use as a substitute. You can get both here, but I highly recommend getting the original tapioca. I've tried the honeydew and the mango bubble teas, and both are delicious and sweetened just enough. They also serve Vietnamese rolled ice cream, which I definitely want to try next time! The ladies running the booth are very nice as well, and answered the questions I had, such as that you can get the boba in every type of drink they serve!

The not-mentioned exit is a few steps into the parking lot, which has a lot of parking. I decided to try this on my way out of the mall. Only one person was working. They have a monitor/kiosk-like ordering stand, so you can order directly and pay for your order because this is a cashless establishment. It's a pretty easy step. After you pay, you get a printed-out receipt with the order number for pickup. When it's ready, it calls your order number. There are napkins and draws right where you pick up the order after the staff calls it when it's ready. No, hello, nothing. I just yelled the order number and walked away after putting it down. It came off a bit rude, and it wasn't busy at all. Like what if it's your first time ordering? What if? What if? But she just walked away What I ordered tasted off, like there was no taste, or should I say it tasted like milk? Yes, I know . The only flavor I got was the jelly mango. I can't describe it exactly. It could just be what I ordered because it was my first order from them, but I'm not sure. I'll give it a try again and order something different.

But the order kiosk makes the line move faster, so I recommend ordering there instead of at the counter. The drinks were ok - I liked the fruit tea better than the thai tea. The staff was nice (same staff working both times) and there's plenty of mall seating or you can take your drink to go.

I don't know if it's a legacy of Covid, or just a focus on take away & delivery. Food & Drink: Food is good and the portion is generous. Our Boba was ok. Service: It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter, so we're not expecting or getting table service. Well, there are no tables. In any case we got our orders correctly and promptly, so that's good. Value: The custom Poke starts at $11 for one scoop, and that's good price even for Michiana area. You get two scoops for $14, which elevates the size and flavor for just $3 more. The boba milk tea is standard. Rating: Good price and generous portion warrant this place a 5 star. You're not leaving hungry. Everybody is feeling the inflation, so a place offering good value should be encouraged.

They aren't cheap, but I am in my poke bowl era right now, and Hawaii Poke is the only poke bowl to-go place near my boyfriend's house. We had gotten take out from here about a year ago but I never bothered to write a review until now. Located in a very busy shopping plaza, Hawaii Poke is a happy sight among all the chain restaurants nearby. The interior is plain and basic and the counter with the ingredients is nothing fancy, but it was a popular place at 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon! So that's a good sign. So not only was I trying to be healthy, I was also trying to be cheap so I only got the one scoop build your own bowl ($11.99) and no extras. Portions are surprisingly large, as you can see in my picture, and it took me about an hour to eat when I got home. After getting unlimited toppings at AA Poke in Fort Wayne, I am always now sad to see when poke places limit the number of toppings. But anyway, let's briefly mention the quality of ingredients. The tuna I got wasnt the freshest and the carrots looked a bit brown but everything else was tasty! I also liked the sweet chili sauce I got. And I will never get a poke bowl that doesn't have edamame. Edamame is a must! This might still be a high calorie lunch(sauces and rice are not low calorie!) but I FEEL healthy and that was what was most important for my mental health today.
