Then Dan came to our house and spent a significant amount of time with us explaining our options, showing us samples of cabinets, and answering all of our questions. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. He finally called to tell me HD was out of stock and he could get it tomorrow. Came back the next day and installed it and I when I checked it out he said that it would take time because he emptied the tank. So the next day I did get hot water faster in one bathroom but not the other and there was also a knocking when I turned the water on. I texted him and said that the one worked and the other one took awhile to get hot and it wasn't even hot. He game me a choice of what day he could come back and check it out. So we agree on Saturday at 1. At 2:15 I texted and asked if he was coming and he said yes I'm right down the road. Then he said his clock in his truck was wrong and he was embarrassed because he finally answered me at 3:03. Told me he was 20 minutes away. At 3:50 I texted and said I guess you were not coming- his reactions just got nastier and nastier when I called him and told him that his 20 minutes away was now 40 minutes later! He was really annoyed at me because " I'm sorry my truck overheated". The conversation was not pleasant and I was actually worried he might do more damage than he did so I questioned what the problem was and his nasty answer was that he was trying to determine that. He did some hanging around, in and out of the house and about 30 minutes later he just left! Never said a word about the problem. SO I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM!!
