I started going to Priscilla after being referred by another esthetician. I even did a training with her because I was looking to add lashes to my own esthetics business. As a licensed beauty professional of over 6 years who's had my own salon suite, I was understanding of certain unpolished aspects of her setup because I know the hustle of being an entrepreneur in the beauty industry. But what I experienced during this service was unacceptable. I booked an appointment and brought a clear reference photo, stating I wanted my lashes to look exactly like it. During the appointment, she was distracted, on her phone, and her pets were noisy in the background. When I looked in the mirror, my lashes were uneven, had gaps, and looked nothing like the photo. I even asked for a spoolie, hoping they'd look better in natural light. They didn't. Later that day I text her with my concerns. At first, she seemed open, but quickly became defensive and blamed me for "choosing a different style." Poor quality has nothing to do with a style. I was 9 minutes late, but she wasn't rushed. She still had time to scroll and text while hovering over my face. What's worse, she didn't reply to my reschedule message until almost 12 AM and then tried to charge me again for a whole new set instead of taking accountability for doing a poor job. As a licensed esthetician, I would never treat a client this way whether I agreed with them or not. No professional or service provider should. Professionalism matters. She showed none. She claimed to have 8 years of experience, but there's been no growth, no upgrades, and no focus on client experience. Just distractions and excuses. If you're charging salon prices, the service and environment should reflect that. Instead of focusing on outside distractions, focus on your business, instead of lacking. Overall, I just wanted good vibes and lashes I loved. Unfortunately, I got the opposite. I actually ended up removing the lashes she redid at another lash studio. I was afraid I wouldn't find someone else last minute on a holiday weekend otherwise, I would've canceled with her altogether. Maybe I could've overlooked things before if the lashes turned out well, but they were ugly and poorly done. Thankfully, another studio saved my lashes for my birthday. They nailed the look from the photo and brought the right energy. That's what the entire experience should've been from the start. If you value your lashes, time, or respect as a paying client, I highly recommend going elsewhere for a professional experience. read more

My first time in this place Came to do full set lashes ! The lady ask me what kind of lashes I want and I told her I want natural look. After almost forever (2 hours ) my lashes was too long!! I found Iconic Lash Bar on Gilt for a great introductory special! I'm so glad I did :) the bar is located at sunset strip plaza where Trader Joes is inside Salon Republic. The studio is super cute, clean, and cozy and she makes sure you are comfortable before starting. We discussed the look I wanted and she made sure I got to look at lash sizes and pick the ones I felt were right for me. I really liked that she used a primer on my lashes after cleaning them. No lash tech had done that before and she also used a sealant when she finished....I love the end result! They look like the cat eye I wanted and this was achieved with a classic full set! In Los Angeles, a land where pretty much every beauty industry is quite saturated with a lot of different pools of talent, it's difficult to really find people who are quality and consistent. There has been many times I've visited salons that have a high-end name, but the quality suffers - or I'll go to someone who did a good job once, but the next time it isn't the same. I've been going to Jackie for almost two years now and I don't think I'd ever see anyone else. She's easygoing, super quick, very detailed and always listens to what I want! They don't feel heavy and they last a long time, longer than other places I've gotten them done. And my lashes are not damaged in any way. She helps you choose individual lashes that look natural, showing you what they look like before applying them. Her salon is in Salon Republic, which offers validated parking for 90 minutes. I had a full set of volume lashes applied by Priscilla on virgin lashes. I have also since had one fill. The lashes are beautiful! My lashes are so full, and people pay me compliments all the time! Lash envy! Priscilla's volume lashes feel light and comfortable. I can barely tell they are there! I have had previous 1D lash extensions done by another technician over the last 3 years on and off. I've been going to Priscilla for lashes for over two years now. I was nervous to start lashing and damage my natural lashes, but she reassured me about her method to only utilize full grown ones (vs baby hairs, which is why so many people go bare afterwards). I've been getting lash extensions for about five years, and these are by far the best. They are full, but don't feel too heavy. Out of all of the places I have gotten lash extensions, Iconic is by far my favorite! I'm going on four weeks of my initial set and only two or three lashes have fallen out. FOUR WEEKS!
