Where do I begin! From the booking to the actual appointment the experience was top notch. The assistant Steph was sweet but it was her follow through that kept me looking for that perfectly timed appt. They book up FAST but Steph worked with me via text and then referred me to the website and we went back and forth a bit. She didn't come off frustrated or annoyed and we finally made it work. I originally booked with Candace but was later told she no longer takes new clients which was a bummer because the website still lets you book with her. But everything happens for a reason cause I was able to book with Sheeba who they refer to as a novice but she has 3 years of experience so in my book that's a pro lol. I can only imagine how Olga and Candace work if Sheeba was great!! I on the other hand got a bit fidgety!!! Sorry Sheeba!! Definitely go dressed comfortably. It was cold then got less cold as the appt went on. So I wouldn't go too warm. During my appt Sheeba had on the Conan O'Brien podcast ( she asked if it was okay first) and so that was nice cause I was able to get a few laughs in. I have my two week fill scheduled ( I booked the new client package ) and chose the hybrid lashes. Sheeba answered my questions and was able to provide her professional opinion which was great!! I noticed right away how light & fluffy they feel, no shedding! Highly recommend! Parking was a bit confusing & so I suggest getting there 15 min before to get familiar with the parking structure. UPDATE: So I did get my original $50 deposit refunded promptly although the business did say they would refund $60. Why? I couldn't say. Possibly for the inconvenience (which was a nice gesture) or simply a mistake. The difference isn't a big deal, but the principle is. Kinda disappointed to read the business' response to my review. Wish they could've taken a moment to understand how bummed out I was instead of taking it so personally and lashing back in their reply. I should have read their responses to their other one star reviews prior to all this, seems to be a reoccurring tone. All I really wanted was to be able to reschedule but simply couldn't get to anyone to personally help me. So instead of telling your new client what they should have known about how you run your operations, maybe the business could see this as a way to improve on their potential new clients' experience. Or not. I ended up having to scramble last minute and called about a dozen other 5 star lash studios all around San Diego hoping to get an appointment. And what I found was that someone was always there to help me. So much so that when I was able to explain my compromising situation, many salons sympathized and tried to go out of the way to assist. I wish I could've gotten my lashes at Tenderoni because I see how satisfied their clients are but hopefully a potential new client like me in the future can. So all is well that ends well. Before my appointment, she reached out to me to get a feel for what length in lashes I was looking for (short, medium, long, extra long) and helped me decide what fit my eyes the best. I love the fact that this place doesn't 'count' their lashes but instead makes sure that your eye lashes are full and well-covered. During the actual appointment, Candace was honestly the easiest person to talk to, which is such a plus. I hate forced convos but Candace is someone you can quickly connect with. The bed arrangement itself was extremely comfortable that I even dozed off while she did her thang -- she also tucks you in with a cozy blanket. ;) I have to say, I was so impressed at how long-lasting these extensions are! My boyfriend and I went motorbiking in Thailand (day 7 of lashes) and I unfortunately didn't have a pair of protective sunglasses. We were going at most 50 mph and I was scared my lashes were going to fly off the entire time! We drove for probably 2 hours and when I checked on them afterward, my lashes were pretty much still intact, WOW! So glad I went with this place before going to Thailand. I had a full classic set done by Ezherna in November and I was sooo pleased with the result! She made sure to ask what style I wanted (I was going for doll/open eye look) and she definitely delivered. I work in a more professional setting so I didn't want anything too dramatic, but the finished set was the perfect enhancement without being too much. I've also had experiences where they get glue in my eyes and my eyes burn and are very red at the end, but Ezherna was so gentle and precise so the experience was painless. The best part, they lasted SO long! They advertise that the set lasts around 4 weeks and they definitely did! I've had other sets that were sparse and sad by two weeks. Candace is so awesome! I decided to get eyelash extensions for my brothers wedding for this Saturday. So I made an appt for this past Tuesday. Candace is so chill & friendly. She made me feel so comfortable! It was like chit chatting with a friend like we were just catching up even though this was my first meet with her. On to the most important party the eyelashes!! She did an amazing job! It's so comfy, I don't even feel it, not heavy at all like the falsies. It looks so natural but dramatic at the same time! I saw her Instagram page and I liked what I saw so I gave it a shot. It was my first time with Tenderoni Lashes and it was a pleasant experience. I showed Olga what I wanted with reference pictures and she worked her magic. I was a bit afraid of the outcome because I got "Volume" lashes for the first time and with a new lash tech but OHMYGOSH THEYRE BEAUTIFUL! I was stunned when I first opened my eyes because let me tell you " I was not ready " volume really meant ALL the volume haha. I was speechless and I was laying down for a while so I had to adjust to it all. Olga herself is super sweet, gentle, and takes her time to perfect the lashes.. as for the experience you can trust her with your lashes. I mean, it's more funny than anything and I never actually read their comments because who has they time, I just see how long and exhausting they look! Get a man, get a hobby! Who has the time! So sad that I shared with my fellow yelp'ers and they came back with this type of response! I fell sorry for them and would EVER waste my time responding. I read several responses to their upset clients and they are just rude and super unprofessional. Their booking process is wack, bottom line! Accept it.. Unfortunately I was unable to book an appointment because the process is so challenging. Let me break it down for you yelp'ers: To book and appointment you required to set up and appointment on a third party website called 'Vagaro'. They do not accept appointments over the phone or online. Once you get onto Vagaro, you are required to set up a whole account to be able to access the site. Once you are in, you choose your date and then you have to provide your credit card. You must provide a credit card and if you don't give a 24 hour notice to cancel, you will be charged. I was very scared to make the appointment because I did not know how long it takes, seeing that this is my first time, and I need to make sure I can make it back to work. I paused and called and I was unable to get a hold of anyone. There is no option to speak with someone rather you have an option to leave a message for one of the techs. That's pointless seeing they work all day an probably don't have time to return calls. I have yet to receive a call back. After you book your appointment, you get email from someone who works for Tenderoni and they request ANOTHER deposit to make the final booking. The entire process took me over 20 mins. I canceled..! And shame on Tenderoni for using Vagaro. Vagaro is a website that books appointments for several salons. They basically introduce several other salons to their prospective clients. Not a good business move! I heard so many good things about them but unfortunately making an appointment is like trying to meet the president. I'll pass, no way I would go through that every 6 weeks! And I'm sorry, I'm about to pay $200 for eyelashes and someone can't even make me an appointment..? No thanks, I'll pass. I called another highly rated yelp eye extension salon, someone picked up the phone, answered all my questions and I have an appt on Friday!! Whoop Whoop! Good luck! read more
