I drove 40 minutes to my appointment and arrived on time but my lash tech did not show up and never notified me they couldn't make it. Huge waste of my time and money. It's also in a pretty sketchy area so waiting to see if she was going to arrive was not fun. :/ read more

I've been going to Lola for about two years now and let me tell you she's an amazing talented sweet perfectionist! She to go for the more natural look but you can always choose to get volume! Her lashes feel really light and look very wispy! I never had anyone do my lashes like her ! Like seriously I'm pretty picky lol And the retention is always super good! I can go around 3 weeks before needing a fill. She works from home in downtown so it's very comfy and homey which is nice to feel relaxed. I absolutely love her everyone should get lashes from LOLA read more

At first, I was a little skeptical coming for eyelash extensions in a place that was so hidden. It's inside the Fig at 7th mall. On the bottom floor. Left of Gold's Gym. Inside a shop called something like Yolanda Aguilar spa or institute. BUT... She was doing a welcome special, so I couldn't resist! LAZY SECRET: I am so glad that I did! My lashes look fabulous. Still looks natural, but just MORE! Makes me feel like I don't always have to put makeup on. lol. In fact, I now think eyelash extensions is the secret lazy girl way to pretty up and polish yourself with little effort. No more mascara, and I can use little to no eye shadow. PAST: I have had extensions 2 times in the past, and came out of those sessions with a gluey stickiness on my lashes and eyelids. And oddly enough, I actually thought that was normal!! They looked fine, but did not feel that comfortable. Low level itchiness or discomfort. LOLA'S: This time, my lashes were perfect! She really does spend her time on you, and thinks about each and every lash to compose the most flattering big picture look for all your lashes. They actually FEEL like they are my lashes. Depending on your eye shape and what you are looking for, she customizes the "shape" of your lashes. I thought the only 2 looks were "natural" or "dramatic," but she showed me that that there's other desired effects as well. Mine ended up between "natural" and "dramatic" with a hint of "cat-eye" haha. I was a teeny bit afraid that mine would turn out too natural or too dramatic, but in the end it was perfect. UPDATE: 05.24.16 - Wow, it's been 9 weeks. My lashes look fantastic. I still get compliments almost every other day. Don't get me wrong, a lot of it has already fallen out at this point (sleeping on my face lol). Considering that they're only supposed to last 4 weeks, I'm ecstatic! Week 1 - I will make an update in a few weeks when I see how long they last. But so far, I can just tell that mine might last for 4 to 6 weeks. It's been a week, no fall out really. Thus far, best eyelash extension experience I've had. read more

I don't know what it is, but everytime Lola does my lashes, it lasts for months. I got a volume half set about 1.5 months ago, and they're still on. The best part is that they look extremely natural. She is very experienced and knows how to place lashes so that they don't irritate and sit correctly. She has never dropped glue/alcohol into my eyes, and she uses expensive high quality materials. She also has a sense and knows what would look best on you. I have been going to her for 3 years, and I wait for her to be available if I can't book her read more

I booked same day appointment with Lola for an eyelash removal, nothing wrong with my eyelash extensions I wanted to give my eyelashes a break after a year or so of getting them filled all the time. Lola did a great job and even educated me on how my regular eyelash tech could do a better job with my extensions, from curl size to eyelash color, how the glue was applied and could be improved. Thank you Lola. Next time I'm in LA I'll have to book an full set with you. read more

Oh Lola! There aren't enough stars to review her. Her work is meticulous and flawless. I had gone to someone else two weeks ago to get my lashes done for the first time and they looked good but the lashes felt heavy and my eyes felt scratchy. I finally had to take them off with grape seed oil. Anyway, I booked an appt with Lola and I am soooooo happy! My lashes look incredible. Her touch is so light. I put on headphones and fell asleep and I woke up with exactly what I wanted. What I like is she thoroughly studies your face and eyes and she knows exactly what will look good. Her prices are great and you can book online which is a huge plus for someone busy like me. Go to her! You don't be disappointed! read more

Lola is amazing! She saved my eyelashes; I had gone to another place because it was cheaper, and after 2 visits there, my eyelashes started falling off in chunks. I made an appointment with Lola, and she was able to do my eyelashes (the ones that remained) giving me a very natural look (still w the wow factor). Trust me, she didn't have a lot to work on, but ultimately made it work! I'll never go anywhere else! read more

Amazing! It was my first time ever getting extensions and Lola was so patient with helping me navigate what I want and putting up with my probable snores because the entire application process is so peaceful. 10/10 recommend! read more

I was an eyelash virgin when I found Lola and she's converted me. On top of being wonderful to deal with, flexible and with her schedule, she explains the process and asks you beforehand how you want the lashes to look. My first time I had her do them really long, which was a shock the first morning I woke up with them - it takes a moment to adjust to how much different you look with them, but I was in love the first moment my friends said how glam I looked. I went back this last week and had her do them much fuller, but a bit shorter, and they are glamorous, glamorous. Today my (male) trainer said to me, "your lashes look great. Keep doing that." The highest praise! Thank you, Lola - see you in 2 weeks! read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. The owner is unprofessional. She does not work out of 7th and Fig like her reviews say. She now works out of her apartment all the way down Flower (a 20 minute walk from 7th and fig). She has no notice of this address change on her website or on her Yelp page, and she claims she doesn't know how to use Yelp to fix it. She even admitted to me previous people have had this issue, and she has not done anything about it. She does not speak very good English, so speaking with her on the phone was difficult. Her square space also charged me $2, even though it is supposed to simply hold the appointment. To top it all off, when I finally got to the apartment building, her name was not in the buzzer list, and the code she gave me over the phone did not work. If you are seeing clients in your home, you need to (1) let them know they are going to a residence and not a business, for their own safety; and (2) tell them how to get in ahead of time, if it is complicated. By the time she answered the door, I was not going to let someone so unconcerned with professionalism near my eyelashes. Look for another place in downtown that will not waste your time. read more

I usually get super cheap lashes at another place, but I needed a last minute appointment for an event. I called a bunch of places in DLTA and Lola was the only one able to squeeze me in for an appointment day-of. Her prices are twice as much as my usual, but the quality was also 2x better -- you get what you pay for. The lashes came out amazing. Very natural looking and light. The location is a little complicated, so get there a little early so you can figure it out. read more

I Lola... The best lash tech I have ever had. I visited LA briefly for Vacay. I wasn't able to get my lashes done in NY so I looked up a few places and decided on here. Her lashes stayed on so long and wish I could be a regular. read more

I had my first experience with eye lash extensions over 2 weeks ago and they still look good! Not too many of them fell off. I traveled to Tulum mexico and my eyelashes held up just fine those 10 days. Definitely going back for fills! read more

I have much experience with lash salons, and this aesthetician gave premium service at a reasonable price. She did a careful and thoughtful assessment of the lashes before starting the job. Results were great! Solid work, worth the money! read more

I got my lashes done by her & they feel amazing. I don't have a lot of volume in my lashes, but after her treatment, my lashes looked very voluminous. It really opened up my eyes, and I don't need to spend much time on my eye makeup anymore. Loved my results and will be going back for retouch. Highly recommend this shop! read more

Truly satisfy with the job she did on me. Exactly what I was looking for. A very natural look yet dramatic. She was very professional and took her time to make sure they look perfect. It was actually my first time getting eyelash extensions and I was more nervous than excited, but Lola was such a nice and approachable person! She explained every single detail to me. Although I was 30 minutes late, she was also extremely patient with me. Once she showed me the outcome, I was more than amazed. It was exactly the natural look I was going for! I would definitely come back again for touch ups and would absolutely recommend this place for anyone who would want it for an affordable price read more

I called Lola desperate and close to tears because my eyes were so swollen and irritated from eyelash extensions from YourSpa that I just had put in a week prior. She let me come in so last minute and I am so grateful! She told me the previous woman had caused me to get an eye infection and insisted I complain about her work. Lola was very gentle with me and worked fast to relieve my discomfort. She was very thorough and if I do end up getting lash extensions again, I will definitely come to Lola. read more

First time trying this and I love it! She answered all my questions and explained what she was going to do. The final product was great. They don't look overly done but nice and natural yet full. They don't feel heavy or bother me at all! Will be going back. Second time was also perfect! read more

The best look is whatever I ask you to do because I'm paying my own money! I've had this look before and you did it a number of times, however on this day and many other days you did what you wanted to do. I blame myself for continuing to go to you and always tipping. Let me not mention how I was there 15 minutes early and you chose not to answer your phone until 10 minutes after my set appointment and then tried to talk to me like I was late. Although I showed you in my phone that I called you a number of times, and sent you an email. You then proceeded to insinuate I was lying by telling me "how do I not know you were calling me to tell me you're running late". When you saw I was not going for it you then said "you love your dogs, and was with them upstairs and that you also had your phone on silence. Knowing you had a customer and told me I was your first client. Reminding you this was a 5:15pm appointment and you have your phone on silence. I call BS, you need to check your attitude and as long as the customer is being respectful to you like I have always but voiced my opinion then there should be no problem. If you don't like to hear the opinion of people who are paying you for a service then you are in the wrong profession. I'm done with this read more

I got my eyelashes done here around 3 weeks ago and i purposely waited to write my review. My eyelashes still look amazing. She was extremely professional and she took her time to make sure she did a great job. I will continue going to her. She is, by far, the best in the dtla area. read more
