Icon Image is my permanent go~to for just about every occasion these days. I find myself even looking for an occasion/reason to just go see her. I've known and experienced her true talent for two years now. Unless she retires, I do not foresee my going to anyone else... Ever again. My first encounter with Val, I tripped across her website (her befores and afters are phenomenal!) and through prompt emails and setting up an appt, she showed up at my location and I entrusted her to do what she does best: bombshell transformations with sultry smokey eyes and effortlessly gorgeous hairstyles. Professional makeup artists vary in price from $100-$400 hair & makeup (about 2-3hrs). In my experiences, Val's rates can vary from $150-$350 w/gratuity depending on my location, her traveling to me or my going to her, my hairstyle curly/straight, air brush/regular foundation, etc. To request Val though, it is worth EVERY bit. She always takes such meticulous care in her work and I always receive compliments, at every turn, seems like. Unlike previous experiences, I never regret how much was spent to look and feel so confident as I do after her makeovers. I have had the absolute BEST experiences with makeup and hairstyles thanks to Val! Being Asian, it has always been so difficult to find an artist that made me truly feel as gorgeous and bombshell as the models I once admired on "Maxim," for example. I only use air brush (more costly, but very much worth it). There are just not enough words of praise that I could share except that I hope other every day women like myself can share in a makeover experience(s) as I have, now that I have revealed my glam "secret. " I may not be a hot rod magazine model, but with the right duds and Val, I can sure feel like one for a day/evening out. Side note: When I'm out and about, I'm a no-fuss girl and I rarely, if ever, touch up. From the look of my photos with friends after Val's work, my makeup and hair holds up so well! She arms me with a few lipglosses, blotters/powder fixes and I'm set. I have spent hundreds with trial and tests with other makeup artists from Hollywood to Vegas, and the end result is always my returning (and often begging) to Val that I need her expert talent! Ok, so it is slightly exaggerated that I beg, but you know what I mean. Her resume is very impressive, but don't let that intimidate you in seeing her. She is one of the most beautiful and down-to-earth young ladies you will ever meet and truly loves her work. read more

I take pride in being able to do my own makeup and occasionally makeup for my friends, so I'm really picky when it comes to letting someone doing my makeup. Had a bridal makeup trial with Val recently and she did an amazing job! She really took her time and listened to my requests. We did our engagement photo shoot afterwards and the makeup looked so good in the photos, even without photoshop my photographer said. (See pics I uploaded) Definitely book Val for all your special engagement makeup needs, or anytime you just wanna feel extra pretty and confident. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. Literally writing this speechless. She is amazing. I wish that I can get remarried just so I can use her for my makeup - she has clear communication so I was able to accurately portray what I was looking for. She took my direction and made it 10 levels above. My hair extensions weren't done in time so I was not in a good mood as there wasn't much hair to work with, but what she was able to do, saved the day! I will always use Jennifer for all of my hair and makeup needs when local - and fly her out if not. She uses the highest brand products and is very clean! She cleanses her products immediately after use so you know what she's using on you was sanitized. She's beautiful inside and out and made me feel comfortable every set of the process. An absolutely beautiful soul that radiates - it was a pleasure working with her and I will recommend her to everyone I know. She is the best in the area, do not hesitate using her! Makeup and hair withstood the test of 115 degree temperature being outdoors for 3 hours shooting non stop. read more

Val is an incredibly talented makeup artist who is second to none. I've witnessed her work on celebrities, models, brides and bridesmaids. The transformation she does and the natural highlighting of the girls beautiful features is second to none. She is world class, prompt, always willing to help on short notice, and is worth it. She's been in the business a long time too, since 2004. She isn't just some girl who is "trying makeup out" because she lost her job. Val also uses the top of line makeup, airbrush equipment, bronzing lotion, and hair products. It's like going to the Spa! So don't waste your time with inexperienced makeup artists who come and go like the wind, choose Val from iconimage.net and you will have a makeup artist and friend for life. -B read more

Val is hands down the best make up artist in the world! She is very talented and exploding with creativity. I don't trust anyone but her for my make up. She has done my make up for photoshoots, weddings, and birthdays. Her artistic talent makes you look glamorous and beautiful. She is great at contouring your face and highlighting your best features. Another talent is her ability to also do hair. She knows how to tease the roots and poof it up and make you look like a doll. Just sit back, relax and trust her. When you see her amazing portfolio, you can see that she has a lot of high end celebrity clients and she does make up for many magazine covers and photoshoots. Val is also the most sweetest and nicest person you will ever meet. She cares so much about the comfort of her clients that she will go out of her way to accomodate you for anything you need. I've had other people do my make up in the past, and I always hated the way it looks. I hate the shimmer other people put above my epicanthic fold (double eyelid) that make your eyes look so puffy like you've been crying all night. Or simply I'll just say that was never happy with anyone, except for Val. If you want are looking for a one stop Perfection, make an appointment with her. You will not regret it. I wish I can have her do my make up everyday! read more

Valerie did my bridal trial and I absolutely love the makeup! It was exactly what I was looking for. I am very particular with what I want (airbrush, shadow color, eyebrows, contouring, shimmer, eyelashes) and she did exactly what I wanted. She really listened to me and offered excellent suggestions. She is truly an artist with a vision, above and beyond that a very warm, beautiful person. She not only did a great job, but was great to hang around with. I am very excited to share my wedding day with her and have her doll me up for the big day! I have found my go to makeup girl! read more

Just worked with Val for the first time this past weekend. We did a bridal trial for my engagement shoot photos. Though I love and am picky about makeup, I have never had mine professionally done before so it was a new experience. Val is very sweet, laid back and professional. She worked quickly, as I had a small window of time. She has clearly done this many, many times before! I wanted to pick up some makeup tips, too, so she suggested we film the application process and we did! She was happy to answer all of my questions. In the end, I felt very beautiful and most imprtantly, very relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. I am now doubly excited to see our photos! I would definitely use Val's services again, knowing I will be in good hands. Thanks, Val! read more

Val is amazing! She did my makeup for my bridal shower and wedding as well as my mom's make up for the wedding. I got so many compliments. She really knows how to do make up that looks amazing in photos. She made us both look and feel so pretty. Her prices are reasonable and well worth it. I am a MAC girl and have always done my own makeup. My wedding day I wanted my make up to look different and have it done professionally. I am so glad I did. For all you picky girls, Val is your girl. I was nervous at first because Val is quiet and short on the phone and at times I felt as if my appointments were not confirmed. What can I say, I was planning a wedding and every vendor I spoke with wanted a contract, with half the payment up front and your right foot. When it came to talking to Val she was so chill and just said "yah, I can what time", and then I never heard from her until the day of. As a nervous bride I was skeptical but, she was always on time and never let me down. The only CON I would say is that I hired for her hair and makeup and I ended up curling my own hair for my wedding day. I curl my hair and tease it on a daily basis so, I was expecting a lot more for my hair but I curled it, she teased it and still charged me the same amount. I was overjoyed with my makeup (and she drove to Temecula to do my makeup) so nothing else mattered. But, for the girls that don't know how to do their hair and are picky, I would get a hair stylist. As for makeup, Val is your girl! read more

I did a bridal makeup trial with Val the day of my engagement shoot and just booked her to do my wedding makeup! I did research for months trying to find a good makeup artist who knew how to work with Asian features and am so glad I found her. She has a lot of experience, is professional and sweet, and really knows how to work with your facial structure/features. Also liked that she is receptive and really tries to take into account the look you're going for. Highly recommend her, she is the best! read more

Look no futher! Val is your gal! Trust me, she will execute and deliver the look you want. I had a girl (a friend) who cancelled on me last minute for my wedding. I didn't even know where to look when it came to makeup artists. Luck me, I found Val to save my day just weeks before the big day. Her and I cooresponded over emails and compared pictures. There was a certain look I was going for. She was very open to it. Not only was she was very easy to work with but she fit the budget I was looking for. She was also very flexible with location and time. I had a dilema that resulted me to even do my trial makeup at her parents house at 7 in the morning because it was near my photo shoot! How accomodating is that! I had other options that were charging ridiculous amounts just because of their experience. But I have to say, Val has the experience and the talent that could school most of the artists out there. Believe me, I'm known to be insecure and really picky about make-up, but Val knows her stuff. She really brought out the true beauty in my face that I didn't even know I had. The compliments from my wedding were endless. She even told me that doing makeup is her therapy. To me, if you have passion for what you do, you end up with excellent results. Val did just that! Plus she was easy to talk to, felt like she was my sister from another mister. LOL! Thanks Val! I'll be sure to call you for the next gig! You truly have a gift! I post my pic in honor of you. read more
