Shay was an absolute delight... first I've never met her I randomly messaged her through yelp I needed to get glammed up for one of my girlfriends wedding I messaged her short notice and with my luck she had 1 available slot 4:00 pm so I booked it ... couple days later I messaged her again wondering if any other stylist would be available for a blow dry and that I could come in around 3pm she got back to me right away so come Saturday (May 5) I get to the salon Studio K and it's jammin in there which I love lol and Taline greets me (by the way she's a gem) and she started on my blow dry mind you I have platinum blond hair full of extensions and major damage (beauty is pain) and Taline hooked it up with sleek smooth hair Amazing I was done with blow dry at 3:30 did I mention wedding is at 5:30 in Beverly Hills lol so I smoke a cigarette and now comes Shay 15 minutes early to greet me we started make up she asked what I wanted I said you're an artist I'm your blank canvas handle it (never tell an artist what to do) (I'm a former hair dresser I know the drill) she said you have big eyes would u like Smokey I said girl do your thang ! I found Shay through yelp and I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon her. She is so sweet and extremely talented with makeup. She was so much fun to talk to while she was doing my makeup. It felt like I was talking to an old friend. Since I had seen pictures of her work, I let her have creative license to do as she pleases and she did not disappoint. I walked away feeling beautiful. I usually feel like I'm not very photogenic, but her makeup made me feel like I couldnt take a bad picture. I also received a ton of compliments from friends. The worst makeup artist ever. It was months ago. I asked don't touch to my brows and I asked for a very very soft make up. She finished in 15 minutes and asked me do I like it or I want to change anything. My brows were black and the lips were horrible she scrawled with pencil I asked if she done with my lips she gave me the pencil and said you line it as you like and I'll fil it. I paid for a make up that was worse than I'm doing on me!! They just fill their accounts with fake followers likes and filtered pictures. She spoiled my day!!! read more

Shay was awesome! I was in LA visiting and needed my makeup done she was very professional and responded within an hour of my request. I was late about 30 min to my appointment due to LA traffic of course and she was very understanding ( I felt horrible because I know make up artist can penalize for tardiness or cancel altogether).
