I was frantically looking on Yelp for a mobile spray tan, last minute the night before my engagement party. I was able to book an appointment very easily online for same day at home service. It was great: I selected the time and place for the tan, paid for it, all online, and received the pre-tan instructions. I received timely updates via text as to when the tanning specialist was on her way, her first name & picture were also provided to me. I needed it done last minute so I was able to book an appointment at 2:30pm for a 4pm session. Very professional, female came to my home with everything that was needed. My spray tan is literally orange and splotchy, and the underboob is completely missed. I have a big photoshoot tomorrow ! I told the sprayer I want to look naturally bronzed and the color is tragic. This isn't even after 24 hours and I followed the before and after care, as I've gotten spray tans in the past before. I want to cry! I've used several in home spray tan services in LA before at varying price points so I'm well versed in quality and pricing. The price for this company's 8 hour tan is standard mid range price, however, the quality was so poor (in my case) that I can't recommend spending that much. The technician was incredibly sweet and relatable, however she was 35 minutes late due the long distance she was traveling. Poor thing was so rushed driving from one end of town to the other, that I believe this company has a scheduling problem that is effecting their employees and the quality of their work. From other reviews, it looks like this is possibly not uncommon for them. It was truly the fastest spray tan that I've ever had, aside from standing in a Versa booth. When she completed the spraying, we quickly looked over my tan, and at the time the bronze indicator coating seemed fine. She then hurried out the door. I stayed in the air conditioning for the next 12 hours with proper loose clothing. I'm not new to this. After my first soap free shower, 14 hours later, the bronzer rinsed off, and my entire body was streaked except for my lower arms and legs. I look like an orange streaked marshmallow. Now, I will have to spend money on a professional Korean scrub to get it off. Ugh. Such a bummer! I'm giving this place one extra star because the technician was so nice and their scheduling was easy and convenient! I have no idea what's going on with the drive time planning of this place that she had to drive all over town like that and rush the tan. I think that the scheduling was probably the main issue, although the tanner formulation is a bit orange for my taste. Not super orange, but not that great cocoa color like I've gotten from other places. I posted some pics of my results. My cousin and I were excited to try our first spray tan this week. It's something I've wanted to try for a while and did a test a few weeks before a big trip. Glad I did because I am finding the tan very yellow and unnatural looking. Also areas that were more heavily sprayed and darker/yellow like my chin and neck, and some that were missed entirely like under the boobs. Same with my cousin. Also the woman who came to spray was clearly not excited about her job. Didn't give us great direction about how dark it should be, just asked "how dark do you want it" which we had no idea since it was our first experience. Not very friendly. I use On The Go Glow whenever I need to be tan for wearing minimal clothing. I don't have to worry about being uneven in weird places. The color is dark and stays dark for a solid 3-4 days on my skin. Can last up to a week depending on how much I shower. The only problem I have is underneath my boobs always gets spotty. I told her last time but it still happened and I only noticed because I was in a swim suit. Hopefully next time we will get it right! She is always on time and the color is always beautiful. I tried a spray tan for the first time with on the go glow last week. Megan was amazing and made me feel so comfortable and explained everything clearly. I loved how I looked right after the spray and I followed the exact directions but when I rinsed with water 6 hours later, the tan faded so much. I contacted support and they responded right away and were so nice and accommodating. They said that once in a while the solution isn't quite right but that they would send someone right away to my home to fix it. I was heading out of town so I waited until a week later and just had Tasha come respray. She was also super nice and I had her go darker this time to make sure I really had the tan look. I got scheduled with Callie, who made me look so amazing and was very personable. She showed up on time and I easily felt comfortable with her to allow her in my home and to get nude in front of her. I had a really good experience the first time I used them. I was happy with the service and tan, unfortunately I forgot the girl's name so the second time I had someone different and my experience wasn't so great. The tan was so bad, I was literally orange. However, having had a good 1st experience the next time I needed the service, I asked if they could send the first girl, hoping there was a record. The woman on the phone looked me up and suddenly said, "oh no! my girls will not go to your area anymore!" - You know that saying, it's not what you say, it's HOW you say it. Well that's really the case here. She said it like it "ew no" it was so short and unapologetic! I felt so bad and was kinda appalled bc I actually paid an EXTRA fee for each visit so I was really shocked by her attitude. First of all let me say I am not getting anything free or a discount for my amazing review -- I just appreciate finding this gem and want to share. I'm a spray tan addict (I even have my own machine) and know a good spray tan. I'm on camera 5 days a week and need to always have color so finding the right spray is important. I've been gettin airbrushed ONCE A WEEK FOR 15 years...so trust my opinion here. I am so happy to have finally found the best in town! For anyone afraid to try or had a bad experience somewhere else give Valerie a try... Just don't steal my appointment ;) Her technique is the most natural looking I've ever had.. And by natural I don't mean light, I mean natural. Be specific about what you want and she will deliver... Then make sure to use a good lotion twice a day and your tan will last a week or longer. I like "Alba Botanica Very Emollient Body Lotion" which you can find at Whole Foods. On The Go Glow also has an express tan so you can wash after 4 hours not 8...a great time saver. Watch out for unexpected charges! They nailed me twice! The tan looked great, but any communication from the technicians about anything regarding care, upcharges, etc.. will not be given to you unless you ask directly. This was the best tanning experience I've ever had! I'm always on a time crunch so finding new places and trying them isn't usually an option. Especially battling traffic. I called the number yelp gave me and their staff was very helpful and friendly. They called back in a timely manner and were even very flexible on having the technician call me back! They set up right in your home where the best light is and it was so quick and easy. It took less than a half hour and my technician was very helpful with the exact color I wanted. I am in love with my tan from On the Go Glow! i have always had a flawless natural looking tan since i started using them a few months ago. I am naturally very pale and was sick of looking orange, sticky and uneven at my local tanning salon. One of my friends referred me here and i've never been happier. The solution smells great and is NOT sticky. i feel like i can wear clothes right after, even though for best results i would advise you to not do this. The tan usually lasts about a week. i try to keep my tan up twice a month and Val is so great about last minute house calls! Super fast and friendly as well as detail oriented. you wont have smile lines or streaking and if you notice anything like that she will even it out for you.
