If you want a fair and honest review, read this. Also, this place is called M50 Auto & Truck and…read moreIcon Auto Group. Not sure if they are in the process of switching business names, but thought people should know. Bought a 2011 Subaru Outback in December 2021 from this place. Pictures from this dealership posted online were misleading. Showed none of the minor dents, minor body rusts, minor accident on front drivers side of the vehicle. None of that was shown in the photos. I ended up buying the vehicle. I had someone with me somewhat familiar with vehicles. This is where this is my fault and I learned a lot of lessons buying a vehicle not just from this dealership but in general. I get the vehicle home and within the first month, I had to replace rear wheel bearings, ball joints, struts, and the muffler just fell off in a parking lot one day. I get the oil changed because I'm catching a theme nothing was done to this vehicle and the air filter was literally black!!!!!!!!!! All of this within the first month of owning it!  A woman, the salesman that works here tells me that the brakes and rotors were just replaced. Find a receipt that says the rotors and brakes were replaced in 2014!! So let's wrap this up.... Totally my fault for buying this vehicle and not doing my homework prior, I'll take the blame for that. I will take responsibility as I have no other option and make this car a great car. But what I won't take responsibility for is this dealerships lack of honesty. I understand business's need to make a profit but why not be the change in the world and make a profit while also selling great and honest vehicles?? The manager says they do a 36 point inspection before listing their vehicles for sale in previous replies to customers complaints on google reviews. I can testify that this is a lie. Maybe buy a vehicle from here but also beware that this dealership MAY sell you a vehicle that they have done nothing to other than purchasing it from the previous owner. Which you could end up with a vehicle with all kinds of issues. Ask yourself, why did the previous owner get rid of it?? BEWARE, always get the vehicle checked by a local mechanic, regardless if you have to sit for hours. Just do it!!!! I promise it will be worth it in the end. This business could have been honest about their vehicle that they sold.

There was no pressure to buy just answers to questions I had. Before I bought the car there were a couple of concerns I had and they were fixed immediately. My husband had had a stroke and was not able to be a part of the process. We had been to several other used car dealerships that tried to take advantage of the fact that it was my first time buying a car on my own but Jason took his time and let me go at my own pace. We love our new car and after checking around we appreciated the very fair price . I would recommend them to everyone looking for a used car!

It was a coolant sensor which cost $466.00 to repair with the additional extended warranty, so he paid it. A month later the check engine light came on again so he bought a code scanner and found out it was a misfire in cylinder 1 so he took it back to their service department to be fixed but the service rep listened to the engine running and told him it could be the spark plug and the coil pack. He told him it would cost a lot more for West Point to fix it and it would be cheaper to fix himself. So he did. A month later the check engine light came on again. He finally had to take it in to their service department to look at because the car would not accelerate on the highway. They told us it would be 2 weeks before they could even look at it, so he left it hoping they would look at it sooner if someone cancelled. Surprise. We had to call them after 3 weeks to find out what was wrong with the car. My son was told the head gasket was a bust and it would be too much time to repair and they couldn't get parts for 2 months. The best option was to replace it with a used engine that had 78,000 miles on it for 7100 dollars. They handed me an invoice for 10,644 dollars in order to repair the car, but said that wasn't the cost! We confronted Jason about selling stripped down warranties where important boxes on page 4 were not checked and he said that would have been a surcharge. We never even saw those boxes at the time of sale nor did we have the surcharge option. I asked the service department to produce denial paperwork for the repairs and I asked the warranty company to produce denial paperwork. I still haven't gotten it and that was more than 2 weeks ago. In a nut shell, they sold us a car they knew had these issues because there is literally a class action law suit brought against Ford for this very problem and probably used a sealant like KSeal to hide the problem for a while, sold us a stripped down DOWC (which stands for dealer owned warranty company) and then basically told us there was nothing they could do about it and pretty much they didn't care. In addition their service department guy wanted to assault my fiancé in the parking lot and then called the police on us. The Better Business Bureau has been contacted and a complaint has been filed along with a complaint to the Michigan department of the Attorney General. If you have gotten to this point, you can contact me at kapage1970@yahoo.com and I will be happy to pass along any information in regards to what I have found out about the warranties and their shady business practices.
