Tonight my husband and I went to Fox Chevy in Caledonia and were disgusted. Earlier in the day, I had inquired about a car for my teen. Nick the used sales person was very helpful, honest, and great to work with upon arrival. We were able to figure out numbers and cost out the door. I had to wait 30 minutes because my son's dad was at work and could not talk. Nick was understanding and it was about a half hour before close and I told him he should be able to call me before 6 but if not I will call first thing at 9 am or be there tomorrow at 9am. I had to run it across my son's father as he was helping to pay for the vehicle. I had what it would cost with me so if he said yes I could just give money then. Nick was very respectful of this and understanding. We then went outside and test drove it and came back. Nick walks out with another person and introduced him to us as Greg. Nick made some comment about me working with him already and I was like what. I said I have never worked with Greg as far as buying a car. Greg came across rude to my husband and I. Nick could no longer sell the car to us and we had to go through Greg. By this point, I am mad because Nick was nothing but honest and great to work with. Nick truly deserves recognition for how he treats customers. My husband and I were very upset by this as Greg started talking he asked what school my son went to he was very short and snarky and said oh yeah we play u in sports and told us the school. I do not care what school and u are not better than me because of the school you named. He was very short with us and acted like he was higher and more important. At this point, I am still like what just happened. I tried to explain that I was waiting for my sons dad to call me before 6 because he was at work. I told Greg at 527 when he decided to take over that I was waiting for his father to call because he was at work as he is a police officer. So I told him what Nick and I agreed on about me getting ahold of sons dad. I will call before 6 pm if his dad calls me or I will call or be here right at 9 am. They took a copy of my driver's license so when I called or arrived they could get paperwork started. So at 530pm I left to go get gas in my car as I waited for my sons dad to call me. While at gas station, I received a voicemail from Greg stating it is 541pm and u have until 545pm to call me back with an answer. I was literally gone 9 minutes and at the gas station south of dealership. I explained that my son's father cannot just answer a phone while working and reminded him of agreement. I told him I was waiting and we have the cash, and I just need to confirm with sons dad as he was helping pay for car. Greg was very rude and said well I have someone else here who can buy it now. He also was very rude in his response of why Nick could not help us as the deal was pretty much made through Nick. Greg had no business stealing that sale from Nick. What kind of coworker does this. Greg was very rude when I called him out on not letting Nick help us. His response was well you were talking to me about another vehicle in March. I know I contacted through website but I did not talk to Greg. I never came to look at vehicle because the person I was dealing with through inquiry was rude and how coincidental that it was Greg. Needless to say Greg did not go by our agreement and sold the car from underneath us when we basically said yes to purchase. I will be taking this to corporate level about Greg but also letting them know how awesome Nick was. Again, DO NOT USE GREG. Just because he wanted to sell a vehicle, he did not have to sell it from underneath us while I was waiting for phone call. If you go there please see Nick, very honest, friendly, and down to earth. I will never recommend Fox Chevy Caledonia to anyone. If I hear of people going there I will be giving them Nicks name. DO NOT USE GREG. So unprofessional the way we were treated. MY HUSBAND WILL NEVER ALLOW ME TO GO HERE AGAIN UNLESS THEY HAVE AN OFFER WE CAN NOT PASS UP WHICH I DOUBT WILL EVER HAPPEN. read more

Car just needed a battery. Did 3 repairs did not solve issue- $1,000 later. Installed battery. Solved problem. Tow driver said, just needed a battery . He was right. I would not recommend . No response from three letters to corrected car repairs. read more

We were on vacation when our new truck broke down. We ended up getting it fixed but had to pay out of pocket as the out of state dealer did not feel it was a warranty item. We contacted GM, when Fox found out, they honored it as warranty and refunded our money. We appreciate that they stood behind their customers. Highly recommend this dealer. read more

I feel that when the dealer reaches out after a bad review it's out of routine for the company. I'm not confident anything will be done at all. Especially the way the guy on the phone wanted to defend a premature failing part off the lot before I wrote the review. I tried calling with the contact given by the dealership but never received a call back not that I expect one. Officially got the condenser fixed for $650 by another mechanic. Lifetime warranty on the part. Blows cold air and cost about half what Fox wanted to charge me ($1400). Fox was also aware of these condensers as the mechanic I talked to at Fox said they had done some of these already. Might possibly post the invoice detailing the 2016 truck that needed a condenser. If I was a wealthy guy I probably wouldn't cry so much. But some of us are not and therefore all red flags should be raised for the next person so they know what to look out for. And always check that battery since that could be another $100-$150. This condenser defect is GM's fault. However a more rigorous inspection would benefit a customer as oppose to just hiding behind an "as is" sale. It is not hard to find information about this failed part online when you find out about it and then research it. read more

Had some vehicle repairs performed at the dealership and was happy with everything until I went to pick the car up. The service counter clerk was an unemotional young lady that I had observed when I walked in. I walked passed her towards the service counter that was around the corner from where she was standing and talking to another employee. I waited and waited and waited until another nice young lady asked if I had been helped. I replied that I had not and she advised she would get someone. She then went around the corner and I overheard "you might want to go do your job!" Still I waited and waited and waited until several other older males came by and both replied they would get someone. Another male came and started to get my paperwork around when the young lady that was standing around casually strolled in and did her job, unapologetically of course. It certainly shows where you are on the ladder after you are done buying. read more

Fox, IMO, is an exemplar of customer service. We had our vehicle serviced here on 7/18/2018 requesting a transmission oil & filter change. According to the invoice the transmission was flushed. This is a service we did specifically did not request as the truck has 120k miles on it. Upon contacting the dealership to inquire on the flush noone can assist. According to them they didnt flush it but the paperwork clearly states flush. Well they call it a coincidence and it very well could be however the transmission went out of the truck 10 days later less then 400 miles. We will not be returning to Fox for service. read more

While I am happy with the service and body shop (which is why I gave this rating a 5-star) as well as the used car salesmen who sold me my GMC, I continue to be disappointed that Fox Chevrolet has neither acknowledged nor addressed my previous concerns/issues that I have bothered to respond to. Apparently, Fox only cares about positive comments and just avoids the negative ones! It's sad too, because when it was with Seif Chevrolet, I was happy.
