Best known for their signature cakes, Icings offers much more than just satisfying one's sweet tooth. The quiet but spacious restaurant also serves up everything from all-day breakfast, pasta, sandwiches and paninis, brick oven pizza, and entrees and yes, even delicious coffee.
I love that Icings has this pretty extensive menu, and everything else like the pasta and the entrees are good. But since I'm a breakfast kind of girl at any time of the day, that is what I usually end up ordering almost every time at Icings.
They have this pretty unique Ostrich Tapa which tastes a little bit like beef, except more tender. Another breakfast item that I really like at Icings is their Beef Tapa - it's not the dry kind, but is cooked along with the marinade which has a lot of garlic. I don't really mind a ton of garlic because I like garlic in my meat.
On the side, I ordered their Cafe Mocha - this was a really pretty drink as you can see the layers of chocolate, coffee, milk and froth. It tasted really good and wanted to have seconds but I felt like I might be too loaded on caffeine as it was already my third cup of coffee for the day.
On your way out, make sure to grab some of their freshly baked goodies and frozen meats which is strategically placed near the entrance, so it's not hard to miss. read more
