The damage I did to the drive required Five Star's clean-room service, and they quoted a flat rate to me in advance. The effort of recovering the data ended up being very challenging and took longer than any of us expected, but at the end Five Star was able to recover over 99% of the files--and I'm happy to say, the 1% of files were not important to me, so the 99% they recovered covered everything I needed. Despite that significant extra work, they invoiced me only for the original quoted amount. I'm happy with the results but also the professionalism. When I first reached out to Five Star, they got back to me at the start of the next business day and, after answering a few follow-up questions, I had a quote and scheduled to drop off my drive the same day. Vahan and Elen were particularly helpful and professional the entire way through. It was really a pleasure to work with them and I can't recommend Five Star enough!

I was unable to recover data from them in different ways. Disc one was an external drive that would not power on. I tried removing it from its external enclosure and powering it from another, more different enclosure to no avail. The system was indeed down. Disc two was an internal drive that used to be my C drive- my boot drive. I removed it from an old computer after it stopped booting and put it into an external enclosure. Several different computers (Mac & PC) would recognize it sporadically, though none could access the data on it- error codes always came up. Before I removed it, from the old computer, I tried booting from an optical disc and other assorted methods, many other assorted methods... I believe I was very thorough in my efforts. I sent both in and received near 100% recovery. They said it was 100% from one and 99.9% from the other but I am unable to find that .1%. I got all of this for just barely above the $300 price in their name (each, not total). So for about $600 total (including new discs on which my recovered data was transferred and return shipping) I got this incredible service. The total price I paid for both discs at 300DDR is less than I was quoted at several other places for one disc. At each step they were great communicators, from their receipt of the discs to my receipt of the recovered data. I hope I never need their services again but should, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend them.

All I could find were positive reviews, which actually made me a little nervous because most companies have at least some negative feedback. I still wasn't sure if they were legitimate, and I was worried about whether my drive would arrive safely or if they would actually be able to recover my data. Before contacting 300DDR, I took my drive to a local computer repair shop. They had it for more than a week, and every time I followed up, I was told they would call me back. After several days, they finally contacted me, likely because I kept checking in, and unfortunately told me they could not recover the data. I then contacted another data recovery company, but they quoted me between $500 and $2,000 and would also charge an $85 diagnostic fee. I was really concerned about spending that much money without knowing whether they could recover anything. One thing I appreciated about 300DDR was that they do not charge a diagnostic fee, which gave me much more confidence in giving them a try. After doing more research, watching additional videos, and reading Reddit discussions, I still found overwhelmingly positive feedback about 300DDR. So, I decided to send them my drive. Once they received it, the process was impressive. They notified me immediately that my drive had arrived, and within 24 hours they had already evaluated it. They informed me that they could recover 74.46% of the data and explained that a head swap could potentially recover more. What I appreciated most was that any additional fee was only for the replacement parts and materials, not for labor. They also provided me with a link showing a detailed list of the files, photos, and videos they were able to recover, allowing me to make an informed decision before moving forward. Since most of my important files were included, I chose to proceed with the 74.46% recovery. Throughout the entire process, their communication was excellent. They kept me updated every step of the way and were professional, transparent, and honest about my options. Their pricing was also far more reasonable than the other companies I contacted. I can honestly say that all of the positive reviews I read were accurate. 300DDR exceeded my expectations, and I am incredibly grateful for everything they did. My hard drive contained priceless memories dating back to 2013, including videos of my children, wedding memories, family photos, and other important files. I had almost given up hope of ever seeing them again. No words can truly express how thankful I am to the entire team at 300DDR for helping me recover data that I thought was lost forever. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of data recovery services. One final piece of advice: if you decide to use 300DDR, make sure you are on the correct website. A man named Daniel is who helped me and he was an expert and so patient when I was in a panic over not being able to access important video on my MicroSD memory card. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASAP to anyone who needs help. My story: After filming a big event on a MicroSD card, I could not play the video. It seemed corrupted. So I sent it to three different companies and none could retrieve the data or tell me what was wrong. I finally found ASAP Data Recovery in a Google search and called them in a panic. Daniel answered the phone and was so calm and patient. He asked me several key questions - which the other companies did not do - and then said I needed to send it so they could properly diagnosis the problem. A few days after they received it in the mail, Daniel called me back to let me know they had run all the tests on the memory card and discovered it was counterfeit. No other company was able to tell me this, but ASAP are professionals and know what they are doing. Daniel is a real pro! He taught me to look at the card closely for any discoloration or printing defects. I then pulled out one of my other "real" cards to compare the two, and the difference was immediately obvious! The fake one was discolored and the print was flawed. I learned a valuable lesson to always check and compare so I won't waste money in the future. The best thing about ASAP is that they only charge if they can help you, and other companies charge thousands for diagnostic only. ASAP does not take advantage. Every place I contacted either told me they couldn't help or wanted me to replace the entire unit. Star Service 88 was the first company willing to actually diagnose the problem instead of giving up. The technician took the time to remove my head unit, completely disassemble it, find the issue, and repair it. He explained everything along the way, was patient, and charged a very fair price for the work. It's rare to find someone willing to do component-level electronics repair these days, and that's exactly what they did. On top of fixing my radio, he also noticed my sound system wasn't tuned properly from a previous installation. He took the extra time to balance my speakers and improve the overall sound quality, fixing a problem that another shop had left behind. I just had the most amazing experience at this place!! My iPhone5 battery swelled up so bad pushing my phone screen so far put, I wasn't able to use it at all back in March. I called every place and was told it would take at least $200-$300 to fix. Money I did not have to spear. I googled places that could fix my phone within a few miles away from my place and Icarryall came up. I called and was told would take $60 to replace the battery and I'd be good to go. I was so excited! It took them only an hour to repair! I was so stoked my phone was back to normal. But found out during the process the on/off button failed so they put something on my screen to use and I was good to go till I had the funds to fix it. Well 3 days ago my battery started to swell up again. I was so frustrated wondering why since I fixed it in March so I walked in yesterday and spoke to Rob who checked my phone and told me if it was in warrantee that they would fix it at no charge. I went home to check history of payment and called in today. Spoke to Roman and manager Lea and both told me to come in and would fix the phone at no charge tho warrantee was only good for a month. I brought in my phone not only were they sooooo amazingly friendly and helpful with any info, they replaced my battery and fixed my on/off button at no charge since it screwed up during the first battery exchange! My phone right now is back to brand new and I'm sooooooo excited to have dealt with them. If you need any electronic repairs done, get your ass to this place!! I have been coming to ICarryAll in Hollywood for almost 8 years. Any and every time I go in there, or call I am treated with great, professional and personalIzed customer service. This store is unique due to the fact it is located on Hollywood Blvd. it's open late so it accommodates my work schedule. This place can do almost anything one would be looking for as far as getting your phones to work properly. For me, this is huge because I am not so great with new technology. Over the years I have gotten to know the owner and he was always been so awesome to me. His prices are fair for services and phones.. well we all know how phOnes go.. they are costly anywhere. I have bought his used phones and I have utilized many of his services offered. I came in the other evening unlocking new iPhone prom Max .. this comedian that I had seen in Burbank (awful by the way) walked in ranting and raving about his phone - I knew nothing of the situation. He claimed he was an attorney and bla bla- and he wanted his phone -The owner Robert had it waiting for him (Lol) in fact handed it to him with no issue.. it was so bizarre this random "D" list comedian is claiming he's an attorney .. I will attest to the fact that all these years of doings business with ICARRYALL and sending business to this store, NOTHING has ever been shady, misleading or a bad experience. Easily the BEST go-to place in LOS ANGELES for your iPhone repair // electronics needs. They will always take care of you and make sure your device is fixed and working, and that you are happy with whatever you are buying from them. They are fully transparent about everything in regards to their work, and they are one of the only off-site retailers that carry the actual parts for iPhones (the actual 4K Retina screens & parts so that your warranty isnt voided) ... I would recommend this location to anyone who breaks their phone and wants it fixed in 1-2 hours for an extremely reasonable price without any hassle. If you are going for other electronics needs or more specific things, I would advise speaking to the experts or managers (not regular cashiers) if they are available being that they are extremely well versed, knowledgable and friendly and can help more specific needs with great service. Being a tech geek and someone who runs a tech blog, i find it really useful to have this place right in Hollywood! Overall I give this place 5 stars, and would personally go here before the apple store for any repairs even computer related. HOW TO EXTEND THE FRAUD!!! iCarryAll's owner, Lea, contacted me following my earlier review (posted two months after not being able to get a response from them despite weekly phone calls), about their sale to me of a new, unlocked iPhone 6s that turned out not only to be locked to T-Mobile but worse - locked to a previous owner. Her response was to tell me they were really concerned and upset about what had happened. She then proposed I sent them the phone back so they could deal to it in their workshop, (I presume they would jailbreak it - or maybe sell it to some other unsuspecting customer - as they don't need the phone itself for any other reason), or alternatively, if I was happy to pay them another US$100, they would arrange for a third party to unlock it! REALLY???? By return I suggested they sent me the NEW UNLOCKED iPhone 6s I originally paid for or paid themselves to have it unlocked if they wanted me to keep the previously owned phone - the resulting silence is deafening!!! So much for integrity and honesty! Deal with iCarryAll at your own peril - if this is an example of how the owner operates you really should worry about what you are about to purchase from them or what you leave with them to get fixed!! I was in Hollywood last spring and I went here here to get my phone fixed. There was a foreign man working that seemed to be the manager. He knew a lot about my phone but was quite rude. I asked about several products in the store as I was planning on buying my nephew a few nice gifts. After looking closely at the items I realized they were all used and the prices were a bit higher than the prices I found on Amazon, EBay, etc. There is also a no refund policy which is quite ridiculous for an electronics store. When he gave me my phone back, it didn't work properly. The backlight was flickering and there was a lot of time lagging. When I was outside waiting I was told by a local man who worked down the street that he uses used parts for phones but passes them off as new. He also sells used phones and passes them off as new. I just wanted my phone fixed and instead I got an earful of gossip from other local merchants. My phone didn't work correctly but when I got back up north, another store fixed it for NO COST! This place seems like a tourist trap. And the strange foreign manager is rude and creepy. read more

WOW.. They really DO do it "ALL". Firstly, not only is this the most honest place ever, they will use more of their own time trying to keep whatever repair costs to its bare minimum for you. My Lenovo Yoga laptop suddenly stopped charging, and they immediately fixed its issue right there in the shop, only to figure out it was a much deeper problem. So they investigated it nonstop, calling me every day to give updates, found the issue, spent So much more time on repairing it than initially quoted, and still managed to charge me LESS than what was estimated for the First problem (even though they did 4x the work & spend x2 $ in parts cost). They saved me a lot of time and worry with their above-excelled skills, and saved me money in the end also. Its an Extremely Underrated place. 3 years ago I stopped in this store and saw the camera which I really wanted. That was Nikon D7100. And I got very good deal together with lense 18-140mm. That price I didn't see anywhere else and I was wandered that I can get such a good price right on Hollywood blvd. And I still use this camera. More than 3 years already. Use it a lot because I travel, take photos and publish photo guides with hundreds of photos in each book. This time when I visited LA I stopped by again and I needed Macbook Pro. I was looking for specific 2015 pro model and they had it. I was very surprised that the owner still remember me. I was not ready to buy but few days later I came back and Sam, the guy who works there made me a good deal. This laptop is almost brand new and I hope it will work as good as my camera. This is the best BEST STORE for all of your electronic needs. Robert is a very kind and understanding man. I walked into this store in a frenzy-with a busted motherboard-and was given not only an extremely fair price but also an amazing experience. Now my phone works better than new and i can look back on the overall experience with a smile not only on my face but in my heart. This is one of the FIVE shops in ALL OF LA who can repair motherboards and do microsautering- I highly recommend the service as well as the merchandise. YES. Finally a good tech place in Hollywood. Ask for Robert, he's dedicated to his biz. He has infinite patience and I saw him helping a customer with their cell phone transfer while waiting for my iphone screen to be repaired. First, he gave me a killer quote, and a neighbor discount for living a few blocks away. Second, he gave me a quote over the phone, and I could understand him and he understood me. Third, he had the parts for an old iphone. Fourth, despite being on Hollywood Blvd, he has plenty of staff to do repairs, answer the phone and help everyone. This is one of the last few great small businesses left within the tech field. Patronize them please. The characters working on the blvd know him, he's friendly with the Tour guys, and he runs a reputable business for the neighborhood. This company has a lot of options like how to put gold on your phone and customize I phones, repairs, Chargers, screens, etc I really like this place I came in to fix my screen for ig one 6plus and put a new temper glass they helped me right away although they were busy. Hey answered all the questions needed in regulating connecting I phones from another company and service for phone. The cashier at the entrance was very nice and had good customer service while helping me. I want to first and foremost thank iCarry 'EVERYTHING' for the tech guy Seth and his awesome boss Robert who helped me throughout this whole process with getting my Sam Galaxy A12 screen replaced. The process was not easy and difficult to achieve to near perfection. Alcohol did seep through into the internal hardware which caused a minor cloud-like spot which is fine. It actually looks pretty cool with that spot in the background. It does not interfere with clarity and details of image projected from the screen. I strongly and highly recommend going to iCarry because they literally carry EVERYTHING....everything that's cool gadgets like iWatch and just really anything that are electronics related. This is one of the few businesses operating in Hollywood that have within their inventory basically everything you'd ever want to fulfill your mobile devices needs. From personalizion to preventative maintainance to charger immobility. First I had a couple questions which were quickly answered for me over the phone by a polite young woman with middle eastern accent. I was soon off back on my way again. With everything I had planned on having to buy as well as being without which I know now as well as upgrades etc I was back underway with my tools to make a successful living. My only regret was for the fact that I didn't want to leave. I went to ICarryAllHollywood tonight with my girlfriend to get her broken iPhone 4 fixed. It's in the middle of Hollywood, so, the parking wasn't easy, but it was worth it. Staff was very friendly & extremely helpful. They only charged $65 to fix the broken screen & $35 for a color conversion to her housing & faceplate. So-the total came out to $100...not bad. Only downfall was that when I went to write the review I noticed a coupon/deal on yelp to pay 85$ for 100$ worth, so it kind of blows that we didn't see that beforehand-but, its all good... I will definitely come back here to have my macbook pro screen replaced-these guys are awesome. Not to mention the fact that on a friday night, they managed to finish the work within an hour...pretty good deal. read more

Even though I read some of the bad reviews here I must be fair and tell about my experience. My iPhone 4S stopped charging and Apple told me there's nothing they could do about it and that I would need to upgrade to a new phone. In retrospective I'm not surprised that they said that. They have a very low incentive to help me keep my old phone... and they're evil. I went to iCarryAll with very low expectations when my best alternative was to buy a new phone. The guy there was very friendly, and said he can probably fix it in 30 minutes for 55$. I came back after 30 minutes and the phone was as good as new. For me it was the ideal solution. I called Robert at the store and asked about the price for fixing my White iPhone 8 plus seriously cracked screen, it was an emergency to get off a video and could not touch the screen to get inside of the phone. He told me the price is $120 and I didn't have enough. I told him I would call back. I scrambled up $5 more bucks and called him back; letting him know my situation and having only $105 - he stopped me and said come in and let me see. I'm so greatful he was willing to help me in the time of need when not having enough for the cost regularly. If your visiting Hollywood or CA and have any problems with your phone or anything pertaining to electronics they CARRY IT ALL. I am from Puerto Rico, I was on my honey moon in Hollywierd California, My new sexy and edible wife and I where enjoying a cup a coffee at star bucks when a tweeker dude comes flying outa no where and runs off with my new retina display 17 inch mac book pro!! My Puerto Rican instincts kicked in and I immediately chased the tweeker down beating him with my mac book pro!! I beat him seance less ya see. Let me tell you this place is awesome anything you need to have done with a phone or computer they do and their service is impeccable , when it got locked up I brought it in and the guy was so nice that he discounted my price and totally fixed it for me for 80 bucks the same day I didn't have the money to pay and he allowed me to trade him something else worth the value of the service. They replaced the bracket with one that wasn't the actual one. If you run a repair shop, you can't simply install something you think will work. The phone she had was from Apple and never been worked on. So I knew after I opened it up that they totally just didn't care. Also for the $100+ dollars she spent, you had better find a better supplier as the screen she has on is realistically $28 you cost. The screen was washed out and I can't even imagine how you thought it was passable. I understand the whole in and out, but don't skimp on repairs and actually try and do quality work even if it takes more time. I do phone repair and I can't even believe that Apple recommended this shop to everyone. I would recommend anyone who gets their phone repaired here to double check everything afterwards. I rushed to get there so as not to miss the technician, but when I arrived at the time I said I would the tech wasn't there, so I ended up leaving to run an errand nearby. When I returned, tech still wasn't there, so I sat and waited. He showed up probably an hour after the time Arsh had informed me he was expecting him, so there was time wasted for me that could have been avoided if he had more reliable communication with the tech and told me to come in later. The tech worked on my phone while he and Arsh chatted, not sure if he would've been quicker / more focused without the chatting ... or if he was working on other stuff before getting to my phone even though I was the only person waiting in the store... but after 20-30 minutes (mind you this is on top of the time I waited before he arrived) I was informed he was unable to complete the service on the spot because the battery needed to be drained first. So after 1+ hours I found out I needed to leave my device with the tech and pick it up in a few days' time. All's well that ends well because the tech succeeded in bypassing the FRP and removing the Google account I was locked out of. Arsh followed up in a few days to let me know I could pick up the device. I'd use them again as long as their prices remain competitive.
