More modern than I thought it would be. Service is quick and the atmosphere lends itself to conversation or study. It feels like the cafes I would visit in Japan minus the claustrophobia, but that also makes one feel a fish out of water sensation if you aren't Asian or accompanied by one. Usually love this place and its ramen but this last time I went for my lunch break I was extremely dissatisfied. I ordered ahead of time on the phone and was told 20 min. I arrived minutes before and paid up front and sat down and waited... and waited.. I waited longer (20-30 min) and then came up to ask what's going on. They said they weren't sure I had arrived yet and blah. I remind them I had arrived on time and paid already so it didn't quite make sense but I left there with my (and coworkers) semi warm food and my milk teas that had just been sitting their like I was. I usually come for the ramen, which is pretty good for the price. You can definitely get some better stuff elsewhere, but because it's so close to UTA and makes for a good study area, you wouldn't feel bad for choosing this place. Their entrees are bland at best. Hard pass on them. I haven't tried their sushi, so i can't say much about it. I think they currently have a sewage problem. The bathrooms near the back reek and sometimes the smell leaks out into the eating area. I'm heading back there tonight so i'll update if it's still smelling funky. I just want to let you know now that this review is overdue, but I felt it was proper to have. Out of the three times I've been here, they got my order wrong every time. I didn't make a fuss and sent them back every time and they would come back with the correct order, but I think it's ridiculous to mess up the same order when I was so clear every time I walked into the establishment. Which I know I expressed because I have food allergies and my receipt also said to remove said foods. Not to mention the wait time would double. Instead of typically waiting 30 minutes for the food, I'm forced to wait an extra 30 minutes. In each time that I came to the establishment the cafe was not busy, so I know they weren't being flushed with customers. I've worked in the food industry before and for quite some time, so I understand the stress that comes from working in the industry; but I would never risk someone harm with food allergies after they fully expressed themselves of what needed to be removed. The teas are amazjng, the food is to die for, and the entire atmosphere is clean, bright, and welcoming. The Calamari is delightful, cooked to perfection, the Miso is always perfect, and savory, and the JaJaMong is the perfect Korean treat! If you're in the mood for something sweet, try the CoCo Ballet! My only complaint is that the staff isn't always the friendliest, or most welcoming, but that's only one out of every few times I visit. Just went there for their creamy veggie ramen, japanese fries, and peach slushie boba drink. Simply Amazing. Their menu has a variety, so you can choose different Japanese dishes. The cafe also has wifi, which is really nice. My two gripes is that the restaurant closes on Saturdays which i'm not sure why. I believe the restaurant could have better business if they were open on Saturday. Also, on the far end of the restaurant thy have an odd smell, I don't know if it comes from the restroom. This was my first time visiting this establishment and I have to say I was quite pleased. I had Curry Ramen and the Texas Roll wasn't as spectacular as it sounds. (smoked salmon,cream cheese, mango) The mango didn't seem to compliment the smoked salmon to me but the salmon tasted fresh and was actually really good. My cup of Jasmine tea was quite the surprise as with most places you get a subtle hint of the Jasmine flavor. The Jasmine flavor was so strong to the point of tasting like Jasmine perfume after adding more water it was perfect. I think Yelp got their pricing category all wrong as the roll was quite small and overpriced for the ingredients it contained my Ramen was good but for all 3 items my total came out to just under $18 read more

This is my go to place for some local ramen. I always get the shio ramen and it's pretty packed with flavors. Each entree comes with a free drink, and I love pairing my ramen with some green tea. It's a great location right next to school and it's also cozy enough in the back to do some studying when I need to. The staff is always super friendly and at some point I was going so much that the girl at the front knew my order by heart (oops hehe). Prices are affordable, $2.50 for a small and $3.00 for a large before toppings, which are $0.50 each. I liked this place. They had a nice set up with booths that felt sectioned off for good privacy. There were electrical outlets available at about 1/2 of the tables in the side room that I was in, which is great for laptop use. They also have free internet, a major plus. Their hot mocha was pretty good, and similar to Starbucks price-wise. They had some neat Japanese pastries and things that led to a cool atmosphere. I came here with my boyfriend right before he had to go to work. It was on the way to his job and we were wanting something a bit different but yummy. I was pleasantly surprised and quite thrilled almost immediately. The waitstaff at the counter could tell almost right away that we were first-timers and were more than happy to give us personal recommendations and inform us of certain drinks that were free with entree orders. They overheard us talking about my boyfriend being short on time and went out of their way to find out how much time he had, how long it would take for him to get to work, and make sure the kitchen staff worked on his food first and got it out quickly so he could make it on time. I was highly impressed with the level of customer service, teamwork, concern, and care each member of the staff gave our needs. We will definitely be coming back and will be bringing plenty of friends to enjoy this comforting, friendly, and attentive place.
