Crispy chicken " bowl"
Kristina W.

We were not impressed with the food or service. The best one was the spicy pork, but the crispy chicken & pork katsu were dry & not enough flavors. The japchae (clear noodles) were also bland. Prices & portions were average. It looked like they only had 2 people, one as server & cashier, one in kitchen, so service was slow. Maybe our expectations were too high bc of the 4.5 star-reviews.

Namoo is a fast casual spot that offers Korean favorites and their speciality being rice bowls. I've been here many times before and everything in the menu is delicious! After you order yoy can treat yourself to some seaweed soup and wait brief moment before you food comes out (banchan included). The food is fresh and plated like you're a special guest. It tastes great, especially the vegetables which as I'm typing it sounds weird for me but it's true. While definitely not lacking in flavor, the only thing holding Namoo back is portion sizes. I'd prefer a little more meat in the bowls.

Tofu bowl

Love this concept! I wish there were a Namoo in my city. Both the pork belly and tofu options were delicious, with excellent texture. I love having a variety of sides included to give my meal variety. The bowl wasn't over-filled with rice the way some counter service places will do. There was a hearty portion of meat and sides instead, in the cute wooden bowl. The "picki bowl" option for folks avoiding vegetables is a cute gimmick, but people, try the vegetables! They are yummy. Chatty staff, clean dining room, and low prices.

The Seoul

Im so glad I found this gem! Absolutely delicious! I got the Seoul one day and the Porkipoki another day, both incredibly amazing. The crisp for the Porkipoki was indescribable ‍. Also the staff are really sweet and kind, one of the staff actually recommended me the Porkipoki and I am so glad he did! Ambiance was really nice, the restaurant is very clean and organized! Spacious if you come with friends :D

Seoul bowl

I didnt know where to eat for lunch so I used Yelp's "Surprise Me" button where they give you restaurant recommendations nearby I ordered to go during lunch. It is located in a nice area in Arlington by UTA area. It is spacious inside for you to sit down and eat. The food was good but not great, I wish the ribeye had more flavor. I love that the bowl comes with a variety of items like eggs rolls, korean noodles and a side of mix salad. The mix salad is plentiful but just dry because they do not give you any sauce to go with it so you are just eating the greens dry. My plate was cold when I got back to work and my drive back was only 10minutes. I am not sure if i will try again, the price for the Seoul was $14.95.

The Gangam

The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I got the Gangnam bowl with glass noodles pictured. Service was super friendly and brought the food right out to us. I really enjoyed the nonstop K-pop music playing but otherwise the decoration/vibe was rather lacking on a Saturday afternoon.

Amazing food! I get The Gangam and it's always amazing!

Tasty food! Always amazing! I highly recommend trying the Gangnam! They are very consistent so you know that to expect.

Crispy Pork Kimchi dumplings

Came back for more!! I tried their crispy pork this time and we got the kimchi dumplings, which were really good, just spicy, if you're into that. Overall another great foodie experience with fresh ingredients and great flavors. This place will definitely be our go to spot for Korean food.

The Korean Classic (beef short ribs)

Love, love this place! Got The Korean Classic (beef short ribs) and The Gangnam (grilled chicken breast with signature homemade sauce). All Namoo Bowls include: steamed white rice, Korean noodles (jabche), edamame, carrots, jalapeños, Korean radish (sweet pickled radish), fresh lettuce, red cabbage and a vegetable egg roll. While both bowls were delicious, I will say that The Korean Classic is my absolute favorite from the bowls I've tried so far. It tastes amazing and has lots of flavor, I can't get enough of it! The meat in both bowls were very well seasoned. Great spot with wonderful staff and service!

Seaweed salad

The atmosphere is pretty nice, the service was well. The portion was a good amount. The taste of the food wasn't very good. I got the Korean classic and seaweed salad. The Korean classic was very bland. Need some type of sauce or some more flavors..

Found this place on the Yelp search. Cute little restaurant in Arlington. Ample parking is available in front and behind the restaurant. Order at the counter and open seating at the picnic tables. The miso soup is only $1 that is self-serve. I got the Dae Bak (spicy pork), which was recommended. The meat was tasty with light spice. They do have several containers of sauces available to add to your food if you wish. The portions are large and filling. Overall, I'd recommend for a quick bite or outing with friends/family

Menu 11/2023

The last time I was here was 4 years ago, I revisited for lunch since I was in the area. Menu looked the same as before, portion was average, the food took about 8-10 minutes to come out in a hot bowl. Overall okay, but Gangnam rice is probably my prefer place for arlington.

The Gangnam

EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE! I rarely give 5 stars to restaurants in United States for I've traveled the world and have only eaten the best. I was near the University of Texas at Arlington and searched "Asian food near me". Not only they nailed it with flavor, they nailed it with portion, looks, price and my goodness what a great staff they have. And only for $10?! Shut up and take my money! And the place looks like a k-pop lunch place

They bring over some rice to enjoy with the meat with the regular choice. The menu and options are a bit confusing and took some time to understand. The vibes initially felt a little off, especially when we arrived around 9:50 pm--they took a while to confirm whether they would seat us even though they close at 10:30 pm. That said, once we were seated, the experience completely turned around. Our waiter provided some of the best service I've had in a long time--attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Once we were sat our server was great, explained their menu, additional water refills and changed our grill. The appetizers were yummy but some of the meat options fell short. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. Once we were settled, no one came to take our order. We eventually noticed there was a call button, so we pressed it. When a server finally came in, I felt rushed the entire time...like they were trying to leave before we were even done ordering. Because of that, several items were missed. To make matters worse, we were served old/moldy garlic, and all the cuts of meat were overly thick and tough to eat. On top of that, every time we needed something, we had to press the call button multiple times, usually 3 or 4 times before anyone checks on us. And don't get the hot sake, it's a rip off. Legit 4 small shots for $8.99. Overall, the service and food quality were very disappointing. They probably didn't care to service us because they'll get tipped on a large party regardless. Would I recommend Omi? No thank you... NEXT!

My party of 6 showed up on a Saturday evening and we were sat pretty quickly for it being busy,…read moreabout a 25 min wait. It took a while for our server to come and get our drink orders then a little more for the meat orders. It took her a few trips to get all our drink orders. When we got our initial meat order, the server didn't turn on the second grill. Luckily another server came and I asked him to turn it on for us. I never got my sides that I ordered along with the meats. When we were nearing finishing the first order of meats, we pressed the call button, but nobody came when we waited about 3-4 mins. So we pressed again and nobody came. We pressed it a third time and still nobody came. So after about 10-12 mins of waiting, I walked to the front to ask if I can get my server? The girl at the front proceeded to tell me I need to press the call button. I respond that I did, about 3 times already. So she retorts that "we're really busy today." I understand it's a Saturday evening and it's pretty busy, but in the time that we got our meats and finished it, my server never came to check in on us. The girl then says she'll come by in 2 mins if we still haven't been helped. So I go back and press the button a fourth time. The girl comes in as she promised and took our second meats order and I mentioned that I never got my sides from my first order if she can put that order in for us. About 30 seconds after the girl left, the male server walks in assumingely ready to take our order. I tell him I had the girl in the front take my order because nobody came. He then tells me I needed to press the button. I respond "I pressed the button 4 times now. Nobody came." He goes to press the button to see if it actually works and hears it ding. So he apologizes and changes our very charred grills. Then comes back with our order that the other girl took. We only spent an hour at the establishment, but most of it was waiting. The food was ok at best. There was way too much fat on the galbi. I was left very unsatisfied with the experience. Really, it was the gaslighting about pressing the call button. Sitting here and writing all this out I also realized I added extra tip to my bill and forgot that there's gratuity already added to a big party's bill so they got a really nice tip from me. Hopefully the gratuity gets split among everyone I guess.

It's located in Hurst in a little strip mall that's mostly empty but you can see the concentration of business and cars in the corner on the side where this restaurant is, when we first walked in we both noticed a bit of a strange smell like I would describe as mildew and I think that's because they were running two portable air conditioner units inside so I don't think this is something that's on the regular and after we sat down neither of us noticed it again. As we walked in I also noticed That this place has a nice little cozy feel to it with some interesting decor, beautiful paintings on the wall and kind of an old school feel which I enjoy, there's an upstairs section that's pretty cool looking also where you can have private events or family style gatherings. Right off the bat the service was very friendly and attentive, we ordered two appetizers the shrimp Yakitori and an order of the pork and vegetable egg rolls both appetizers were fresh and delicious, I also had upon the servers recommendation their honey lemon ice tea which was very good. For our entrees My girlfriend ordered the spicy beef bulgogi and I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi, our food came out in a timely manner and was fresh and hot. The portion size was very good and I was happy to see the ratio of meat to vegetable was about 90% meat to 10% vegetable which is what I expect in a bulgogi. Overall I really liked this place and if I'm in Hurst I wouldn't hesitate to drop back in for some more delicious Korean food at Yori! P.s. No table grills just FYI
