Fresh, delicious food with great flavors and friendly staff! We stayed on campus for about four days and couldn't resist going back to I Bowl multiple times. Everything we ordered was consistently great! Highly recommended!

Oden with Shiitake, Kojac Knots, Lobster Balls, Daimon and more. Also the Land and Sea Poke Bowl

Bright and clean location with accommodating staff. Good prices for the amount of food you get. Try the Oden to start, it's a delicious soup filled with ingredients of your choice. Had me quickly coming back for more.

I like how they layer the bowl with the toppings instead of scooping it into sections! Very tasty

I loved the starter and mid course palate "resets" (included in overall 18 course count). The inclusion of two final desserts was also appreciated as other omakase experiences in Philly are sushi only. The tamagoyaki is amazing so hopefully it'll be on the menu when you dine! The atmosphere was quiet, only two others dining at omakase with our party of five. The drink server was dressed in traditional Japanese clothing and was mostly invisible, yet present. It felt too intimate to be snapping away so pictured is the menu as of Jan 15 and the final bite - the persimmon cheese cake. The available à la carte add ons at conclusion are nice but our group of hungry guys didn't need to order anything additional. Overall a great spot for omakase!

We loved getting to try a variety of flavors, and everything was beautifully prepared. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the drinks were amazing, and the entire meal was absolutely worth it. We left already looking forward to coming back and would highly recommend it! The only minor downside was that it got pretty warm inside. It was during the heatwave, so I don't think the A/C was able to keep up, but it definitely wouldn't stop us from coming back. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!

We sat in a cozy corner booth and could easily hear each other although we could not read the menu or clearly see what we were eating the lighting is so dim (and consistent with the gothic theme). Now onto the food. We ordered 9 dishes (waiter suggested 8) and it was way too much for us and I'm a big eater! Edamame dumplings - 4/5, may be just me, but I don't really enjoy mushy fillings to my dumplings. The broth they came in was amazing though Tuna rice cracker - 4/5, not really a cracker, more like a crunchy mini loaf of rice topped with tuna and a slice of jalapeno - delicious and much more filling than what I was expecting. I only gave a 4 instead of 5/5 for taste because of the unexpected presentation of the "cracker" Shishito pepper small plate - 5*/5 outstanding! I could eat these all day they were so delicious. I'm not sure how they flavor these or what light crunchy sprinkles were on top of this very generous portion of peppers (I would estimate maybe 30 peppers?) I'd go back just for this dish Black cod fried rice - 3/5, I should know better that a miso black cod will be somewhat fishy, and with it spread in chunks throughout the fried rice I'd say this was my least favorite dish. Crispy brussels sprouts - 4/5, a solid offering, not much to write home about Crispy tofu - 3/5, not particularly unique although it sounded amazing when described - cubes of deep fried tofu drizzled with peanut sauce on a bed of cilantro pesto. But not that tasty and not that interesting Scallop robo - 5/5, excellent with a kick from the spicy powder on these, note these are very small portions, three slices of scallop (not even a full scallop or if these were full scallops they were very thin) on a stick Ribeye scallion robo - 5/5, also excellent, with three chunks of tender grilled beef Mochi ice cream: passion fruit, matcha - 4/5, but mostly because I'm not a huge fan of mochi ice cream, I'd rather just have the ice cream or have it with a brownie or between two cookies So overall, service was great, not overly attentive. And the food was very solid with an outstanding exception with the shishito peppers. I'm not sure I'd go back as it is very dark in there and if I was seated on the first floor I'd not be able to have conversation with my dinner mates.

My favorite rolls were the Miso Butter Cod and the Mango Salmon. Both were incredibly flavorful, and the fish tasted fresh. Paired with wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger, every bite was delicious. The ambiance was relaxing and made for a great solo dining experience. The chef was also impressively quick, preparing each hand roll fresh right in front of you. The presentation of each roll was beautiful and definitely photo-worthy. If you're craving quality hand rolls and fresh fish, I'd highly recommend giving Chubby Nori a try!

LARGE handrolls that are packed full of protein. I love that they weren't skimping on the portions. One person would definitely get full after 3/4 rolls. A5 Wagyu: Great. What is better than rice and beef? So incredibly tender and savory. Spicy Tuna: PACKED FULL of tuna. The roll had sweet potato inside that was crispy and salty. Loved the contrast. It helped me not get too overwhelmed by the soft texture of the tuna. Uni: Buttery, UMAMI. So good. They gave such a generous portion of Uni too! An Uni lovers dream. Miso Cod: Smoky, flaky. Amazing. Maybe my favorite one. A very large portion of cod too! Highly recommend this one!! I will 10000% be back when I come back to Philly in the future.

It's the usual center city parking situation - try your luck with street parking or park in one of the decks. This place is pretty low key but way more spacious that it looks from the outside. It's relatively "no frills" when it comes to vibe as service, very casual - definitely not fine dining, lighting is a little harsh. We got the Love boat for 2 - which comes with one miso soup and one salad (so hopefully you're willing to share or maybe one of you only wants soup and the other wants salad). The boat was ok - didn't really hit the spot in the way that I had hoped. Karaoke rooms are open and pretty loud but they sound fun. Maybe I'll come back and check those out but I likely won't be back otherwise.

I had the rainbow roll because it had a BOGO offer, making 2 rolls only $16. However, the rolls were SMALL and basically just a California roll with a tiny sliver of fish on top. Two was the perfect amount for me and I don't eat that much, so I would've been quite upset if I'd paid over $30 for that. Aside from the price and size, it wasn't very good. There wasn't much imitation crab inside (which is relatively inexpensive anyways) and the fish on top wasn't very fresh so I ended up taking it off. The salmon sashimi pieces were also half cooked? Super weird... Maybe the food would be better in person, or if I didn't order sushi for takeout, but I probably won't be coming back here :(

The main menu is quite expansive and they also have a daily fish market. Ordered some bonito sashimi - uncommon to see this stateside and it's quite tasty. The pieces were large which was both good and bad. Good for a nice cut portion, but also bad being too large to make it bite size. Rice with the nigiri (and also some rolls) didn't have quite the right consistency so fell apart a bit. Tuna freshness / taste seemed a bit mild or lacking flavor. Sea bream piece was spot on. The fried chicken had a good crisp and tasty sauce. Maybe an off night for my visit, but the presentation and quality felt a little sloppy or lacking. There were some other options I wish to try on another visit, I will update next time. Thanks
