You will need to use street parking or a public parking lot such as I did. It's really not bad at all to park away from the location and get out for a nice walk to the store. You will pass other stores and businesses that perhaps catch your eye for shopping. After finishing up at Patagonia I went to Denver Market for an ice cold beverage. The store lay-out for Patagonia isn't bad. It's clean and organized. Staff aren't so helpful. There were two staff members at the front register. Why one of them couldn't be on the main floor helping customers is a mystery. When going to check out at the register one of them pretty much ignored me then caught herself moments later. Management: please improve customer relations. Don't make interactions so transactional. I walked away with what I wanted but probably should have just used another retailer or distributor to get it. I'm in no hurry to return to this location.

Wilderness Exchange is across the street from the flagship REI megastore. Park in the large lot (first hour free) next to Wilderness Exchange. We always enjoy hunting for bargains but it was not fun going through the mostly meh merchandise here. Hiking wear was still expensive even with tags showing markdowns of 25-50% off. We found the choices for women's clothing limited and less appealing (ugly colors and zero style) than the men's clothing. Plus secondhand clothing was mixed in with unworn merchandise. As for camping and hiking gear, it's hit or miss. Gear is expensive here even if it is marked down. If you are a hiking or camping newbie, bring a friend who can advise you about brands, quality and prices plus do some comparison shopping at REI. Confirm Wilderness Exchange's limited return and warranty policy.

Since it was so busy I was helped by someone in the shoe department who didn't quite have the knowledge to guide me to what I need. I ended up leaving with 2 pairs that I ultimately returned. Not the best but they were busy. HOWEVER, I went back on a less busy day, and Tom in the shoe department was an absolute angel. I told him what I'm looking for and he pulled 3 pairs out for me- size, weight, function that I needed. The second pair I tried fit like an absolute glove and I was in and out much faster and happier. Tom was super helpful and had the knowledge to vouch for this pair of shoes. We got to try out some of the REI equipment, like tents, sleeping bags and camping chairs and got informed on many other things you should bring when camping and proper protocol and guidelines. Yelp Elite put this on, and what a great job Matt and the team did. Astro Coffee was there caffeinating us, phenomenal coffee/drinks. All-in-all not only is REI one of my favorite places to go and just walk around and look at all of the gear, clothing etc but the classes they do are really well done.
