Ron and Linda greeted us and explained that we could use the Riverhouse which has a fireplace and seating so you can enjoy another part of the property. Ron gave us a treat by providing a concert from his vast collection of vinyl records. Ron shared wonderful stories about his music collection. The house has everything you need for your stay. Breakfast is a treat. The level of detail that is put into breakfast made it an experience to remember. They provide a cheese sampling from Vermonts creameries as well. We didn't want to leave and felt that two days was not enough. We will definitely be back. Thank you Ron and Linda for restoring and preserving the Grist Mill so that generations to come can enjoy.

The beef is amazing! Especially the tenderloin. They have every cut imaginable and while it is more expensive than the crap meat you get int he supermarket it is totally worth it. And its cheaper than buying at whole foods, etc. And they have it all frozen so it will keep a long time. And the syrup is delicious and much cheaper than you'll find elsewhere. It is usually best to call ahead before coming to get some beef or syrup. Someone is often at the B&B and can let you into the farm where the beef is but it can;t hurt to call. Though the drive up there is worth the trip!

Early morning coffee on the front porch, sitting in newly refurbished Adirondack chairs, enjoying a robust cup of specially blended Pond Mountain Inn coffee! Stunning views of the beautiful trees that surround the property and those on the mountain across the way, with different shades and hues of greens. Some mornings not a cloud in the sky, while others have various sizes and shapes of puffy white clouds sailing by on the jet stream. Listening to many different types of birds chirping and to the woodpeckers pecking. Watching a hawk or two soaring on the winds and tiny hummingbirds feeding a mere 6' away. Hearing the gentle breezes rustling through the trees, watching the occasional deer wander down the gravel drive and then bound across the front lawn to the fields next door. Perhaps a red fox trotting across the lawn to drink at the pond down near The Cottage and then continuing his morning journey. The sun beginning to peak over the top of the mountain across the way and starting to warm the front porch. A perfect start to the morning, and all of this before one of Kay's magnificent breakfasts! Life is good, and even better as a regular guest at Pond Mountain Inn!

Even Zeus, their big old golden-doodle bear of a dog, was friendly and welcoming! All the rooms and common places were immaculate. The facility was recently renovated and my wife went on and on about how well Cheryl had decorated it. My husband and I have traveled all over the United States and I have to say this is probably the most perfect bed and breakfast . The owner Jon, pays attention to details . First the bed was so comfortable , with wonderful soft sheets with an angora blanket . The breakfast was wonderful . If you come to west Dover , there is no need to stay anywhere else .
