I called Hayward a few days later, they informed me that he could not fix the issue. Should not call himself a professional. Do yourselves a favor and avoid at all costs.

We are very impressed by the professional and knowledgeable assistance by the store. The store is big and has almost everything we need for our pool. We went many times as well as emailing. We bought a safety pool cover in 2019 from Pioneer Family Pools with a 15-year warranty. We made it…read moreclear we needed it strictly for safety, and pool will be remain closed. Their team told us to drain one-third of the pool water every winter but this was wrong advice. In 2025, the cover collapsed and 8 straps broke. Pioneer's rep (Brian) blamed a leak without even inspecting. We monitored the pool no leak. After long delays and no real help, we contacted the manufacturer, who said the instructions we were given voided the warranty. Now we're left with a $500+ repair bill for following their guidance. We've filed a BBB complaint and found many others with the same experience. Their "Family" name doesn't match how they treat actual families. Be cautious. Like many others, we found this company online and relied on the reviews others have given. I now doubt some of the reviews they have on Google are legitimate. https://www.bbb.org/ca/on/burlington/profile/swimming-pools/pioneer-family-pools-head-office-0107-1296150/customer-reviews

Given his stellar 5-star reviews we felt comfortable hiring F1. His quote was reasonable and though he wasn't available to come immediately, only a few days later. We originally agreed for him to visit on Friday but somehow he or his bro made a mistake and visited on Thursday, when no one was home at that time he came. He did come back on Friday at our scheduled time and fix the issue with the electric power snake. I wasn't present when he did it but someone else was in my place. He also didn't send a follow up text to tell me it's fixed, diagnoses, photos or how to prevent it. But at the same time, he's also patient and didn't ask me to pay until I prompted him several hours later asking about the status of the job. I suppose he's a busy man! Communication could be better, just keep in mind you may have to prompt him again to get your receipt later. What's important is that it's fixed and working properly.
