Huge portions, friendly service, casual vibe with wooden counters and tall metal stools. What stands out here from most other poke shops here on the mainland are the tasty and authentically marinated spicy pokes that remind me of those in Hawaii, and the huge portion I received for a "medium" which is really like a "Large" at most other places. Worth a try if you are in the area!

Cool space to grab a Poke during the week with a fair amount of parking in the area. The staff is friendly & competent, the space airy and clean, the ingredients fresh, seasoned, and tasty. Not a lot of seating but enough it seems, plus there are a number of spaces outside that are ideal to enjoy a meal.

Ordered I'a poke from the app Too Good To Go and received a surprise box that was loaded with rice as well as salmon, tuna, and crab meat plus spicy mayo and cilantro. I hadn't heard of I'a pole prior and was surprised when I found out how close it is; in between SOMA and Mission Bay near the round a bouts are: the Design District. Without having any expectations, I was pleasantly surprised how good the poke bowl was! Both the salmon and tuna tasted very fresh and clean; nothing fishy in a negative way. The crab salad was also well balanced as it wasn't overloaded in mayo so the flavor stuck out well. I'm not a big fan of spicy but the spicy mayo packed a good hot that wasn't overpowering. The staff at the restaurant were also super friendly. They greeted me with positive, loud energy when I arrived and helped me with grabbing my pick up order.

I'a Poke is one of my favorite poke spots in the Bay Area! It's a walkable distance from my work and is the only place I go to if I don't make lunch for myself. There is a little bit of seating available inside. I personally bring my food back to my work to eat so it doesn't affect my rating. Previously there was one worker (I never asked for his name despite never failing to see him every time I've visited), but now that the place is getting more attention I think there is another worker helping him. Now the food is REALLY REALLY good. The seasonings and sauces paired with the fresh fish are chef's kiss. I've never been disappointed. I always get the sesame shoyo, spicy mayo, and unagi sauce with two scoops of salmon and either yellowtail or tuna to finish it off. The portions are generous and a medium bowl is $16 before tax. Affordable and satisfied? That's what you'll get here. Would love to bring my poke loving friends here some day.

I was pleasantly surprised when this place popped up on my TGTG app and I decided to give it a try. Haven't had any poke ever since coming back from Oahu 2 years ago. It was a big box of fresh proteins when a variety of fish and shrimp. The staff was very friendly and it was very easy for me to find a parking spot. Will come back!

Was over in the area doing a detail and had to hit up this place. Craving a bowl. Got distracted with the special menu, Got garlic mash potatos that they use the juices from the wagyu beef is Always get the unari special too. Worth the trip across the city! The chef is the creator of all there specials S/O to him. Hit the spot! Easy parking too!

Stopped by during lunch on a weekday. I ended up creating a custom small bowl and was satisfied. Fish was fresh, ingredient options varied, and the bowl filling. I do wish there has been a bit more sauce. Solid poke bowl though! The hours are very limited (mostly lunch on weekdays) but the food itself is solid.

We got the chicken dumplings to start. The dough tasted fresh, they were soft and flavorful. I had the bento box while my friend had beef ramen. I went with my husband, my sister, and her boyfriend. I had the Teriyaki Tofu Tempura bento box, and I was elated to even see this as an option! It was absolutely delicious. My sister ordered the Curry Thick Noodle Tofu dish, and we split our meals. I was so happy to get to try both because I was genuinely having a hard time deciding what to get. The curry was delicious, and the tofu was soft on the inside but coated in a crispy layer -- so good! My husband had the Eel bento box and loved it -- it smelled delicious! My sister and her boyfriend also split a Shrimp Ramen dish and loved that as well. My husband and I both had the caramel iced coffee. It was really good! It was a little on the sweet side, so it's perfect for those with a sweet tooth. I personally prefer my coffee less sweet (but there weren't other options), and I still really liked it! The spot itself is also really cute. It's inside the Japan Center Malls, but they managed to recreate a charming outdoor restaurant façade that makes the space feel really unique. I also loved the convenience of being able to order and pay through a QR code at the table. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in on us plenty, despite us opting to order through the QR code. Furthermore, I really loved how clearly labeled the menu items were with icons depicting veggie, poultry, fish, shellfish, beef, pork, and spice levels! 10/10 would recommend this place, and I can't wait to come back!

We had recently visited Japan and were interested to see if we'd find some of our favorite products here and were happily surprised were there. They have a large selection of prepared foods, including some incredible looking sushi (I wish we had bought some). The cold drinks had a great selection of options with some hard to find flavors and brands. From the produce to meat, seafood, and shelf stable items, it was overwhelming how much this store had. I loved the wide variety of candies and snacks. We picked up some new-to-us and some familiar items while we were here. I also picked up some spices and ingredients that are harder to find. The pricing on everything was very fair, and considering that a lot of these items are imported and not always easy to source, I was so excited! The staff was also friendly and efficient, since there was a festival going on the store was very crowded, but the check out lines moved quickly.

It feels a little bit fancy and elevated but not stuffy at all. We sat at the communal table since it was pretty packed on a Thursday night. The service was a bit slow but everyone was very friendly. We ordered the mystery box ($65 for the non premium option) and the creamy scallop roll. The box was beautiful and presented so well! It was also a surprisingly large portion, as each dish contained 2 slices of sashimi and rice under. I was stuffed at the end. Definitely good for sharing. Everything tasted so fresh and it was so fun to try all the different varieties! Would definitely order again. The creamy scallop roll was also fantastic. We were able to walk in and get seated fairly quickly without much of a wait. We partly also chose this place due to its Japantown location and proximity to Daiso (we had some errands to run). As for food, we got the Kani Dofuno Agedashi as a starter, and then we also shared a few rolls: the spicy tuna maki, negitoro maki, creamy salmon roll, and 49ers roll. We also had a Sapporo and two sake flights! It was nice that every sake flight had totally different sake options to try as well as little name cards describing the drink. All the food was so delicious, and we would definitely not only all rate it a 10/10 but we would also come back another time to try more dishes! :) The ambiance was also nice and cozy! There's a lot of seating, at high tops, tables, or at the sushi bar! Definitely a great vibe. Only downside is that the bathrooms are outside, but that's fairly consistent across most Japantown restaurants. Overall, we were very happy with our dining experience :)
