I had a problems with my old machine unable to print every time the ink cartage was changed even…read morethough the ink was original. I took the machine to Island Inkjet, located at Sherwood Plaza, a few times. Each time Jeff checked the printer and got it working. After my last cartage change unfortunately it was not printing. Jeff offered valuable advise for a better printer that suited my needs. The new printer worked fine, however I had computer error that affected scanning to the computer. Jeff offered options to get the scanner working, he also offered to change the printer with no cost if it turned out the machine had a problem. I am very satisfied with the service at Island Inkjet Sherwood Plaza. These days with so much scam it is not easy to find people that care. Thank you Jeff for good customer service.

I was not greeted when entering the store however the clerk at the front was able to direct me toward the Amazon locker. The store is very spacious and organized. The computer section has a lovely display of monitors, laptops and desktops. There's a shipping desk at the front if you need to ship parcels with Purolator. The Amazon pickup experience was pretty easy. You login to your Amazon app setup your settings to allow bluetooth and location services. Once you are close to the locker, one click on your phone will open the locker door and you can retrieve your package. I will most likely use this service as my previous order was stolen by porch pirates. Thank you Staples for having this service at your location.

We were there this afternoon....Aug. 7/26. They have removed the Cash Desk in the middle of the…read morefront entrance, and we had no idea where we were supposed to pay for our purchase. We could see people standing around the edges of the stores behind counters with with signs above for shipping packages/enquiries, and we asked where to go. Were directed to this area and stood in line for over 20 minutes without moving. Someone arrived behind a cash register and took people with packages, but we and several others were left standing with NO help. I ended up going to the very front of the store and spoke to someone and told him how annoyed we were, and he ended up coming to where people were sending packages, and started cashing out the people with purchases!! SO badly organized! Several people put back the things that they wanted to purchase and walked out!!!! We would have done the same, but we REALLY needed our item. I suggest that you put back the Cash Desk so that people don't have to stand in line for so long. Today was a terrible experience at a store that we have been visiting since it opened up. A lady beside me was also very angry and said that the Scarborough store is nothing like this Pickering store.

I am content with the pens that I have, so I did some window-browsing instead. I noticed Blackwing pencils on a desk close to the window. They aren't cheap! A single pencil will cost you $40. My not entering this store was a wise choice. Blackwing pencils are special in that they use high-quality graphite that rarely breaks. It is made of incense-cedar wood that makes sharpening it easy. There's a rectangular eraser on top, likely for flair. It's still crazy expensive for a pencil! If you are looking for a fancy writing instrument or quality paper, this store is for you. It is comparable to other art stores. They have Speedball and Sheaffer calligraphy pens, too. There were also some good storage containers on sale, but I don't need any! My quest for Uni Jetstream pen refills and some Traveler's Notebook swag came up empty, which I'll chalk up to it being January, prime "sold-out-of-everything" season for anything planning related. Despite that, I didn't leave empty-handed. I picked up a Life Noble Note Section A5 grid notebook, (a new brand for me) and a beautiful Zebra Sarasa Clip 3-color pen. The prices were quite reasonable, even beating some I've seen on Amazon. I also scored some 2026 Midori monthly diary stickers from the closeout cart near the register, which felt like a real victory. I'll definitely be back in a few months to check for restocks. It's a great little spot with some quality finds.
