Usually, I…read morelike to get referrals when trying new school, classes, etc. for my children; however, after speaking to Lynn and having her reassure me she can help my daughter with her art portfolio, I enrolled my daughter in their eight week program. At the eighth class (which Lynn claims my daughter shouldn't have had even though it was a make up class for her), I was told my daughter only was able to complete 2 pieces. She needed 15 pieces for her art portfolio. When I saw the 2 pieces, it looked like work my daughter was capable of doing on her own. I was pissed. She claims my daughter was slow. Slow?! Is that not the teacher's job to push her and move her along with the projects?! Is it not the teacher's job to let me know her progress (possibly half way through the eight weeks - at the fourth week maybe?!) However, despite my frustration with Lynn and given that my daughter's audition was only six weeks away and I didn't know if I could find another school in short notice, I was still willing to work with Lynn so she can help my daughter complete the rest of the 13 pieces. I asked if I could make payment in instalments (considering I already paid $800+) for another 8 weeks. Lynn told me her fiscal year was up (conversation was in December) so she needed payment in full. Needless to say, I declined and had to find another school. As it stands, her new art teacher has been able to help my daughter complete her 13 pieces (in addition to fixing the 2 pieces that came from Lynrich Arts as it was not even done well). And it only took them 6 weeks. It's a shame that Lynrich Arts (which includes Lynn and Rich) would take advantage of a young teenage girl who entrusted them to teach her art and never questioned it. She learnt nothing from them and I was out hundreds of dollars. To think my daughter has been stressing out and having to work extra hard now to make up for the eight weeks lost being at Lynrich Arts, is heartbreaking to say the least. It's disheartening to know they are satisfied in jeopardizing a young girl's future for monetary gain. My daughter has her audition in a couple of days and she will get into this high school but no thanks to Lynrich Arts. Lynn and Rich, you two are crooks and should be ashamed of yourselves!
