This Staples is just off of Woodbine and 7. Used to come here for all my school supplies and it's generally not crowded at all. Nowadays, it's even less crowded due to the internet, and costs have gone up significantly. Came here with a friend because she needed some paper and it's really hard to find anyone to help you in this store. However, they are very polite and friendly. Tip: collect air miles points at Staples! Honestly, it's an average place to get your supplies and I wouldn't really recommend it unless you really need something. Amazon has prices that are not only competitive but you can get free shipping without having to move. In addition to having a Staples there, they also have a Business Depot to get all your photocopying, faxes and whatnot done. They're pretty slow there but when it comes to price and customer satisfaction, they aren't bad. I needed new business cards ASAP and the manager promised me by the end of the day - he kept his promise! Two employees working at the print station keeps asking each other for help and does not know where anything is. Waited 15 mins where they went back and forth to try to figure out if they were missing anything and realized afterwards that it was in front of them the entire time and that she did not think that the package was put properly leading to her confusion. I usually try really hard not to give 1 star reviews as I believe that as long as customer service is there, average would be the norm, but in this case it was just abysmal. Otherwise, if you are there to pick up things and just go to cash, I think you are good to go, but if you go to their services side and need something custom made, good luck and all the best. read more

This Staples doesn't seem to be as well stocked as some are. We were looking for a magnetic letter holder than can be attached to the fridge. When we asked one of the staff he seemed reluctant to help & wasn't very pleasant at all. Walked to the aisles he indicated & couldn't find what we wanted so we left empty handed. read more

Closest stationary store in the area to me.There use to be a grand and toy in markville mall but not anymore so this is really the closest i can get. This store is usually quite empty so its hard to find an actual employee without searching. I find that they focus much more in the copy centre, maybe becuz Kinko's is across the street as a major competition. I was looking for legal exhibit tabs but they weren't available. Very limited choices available in store for alot of items. Not my #1 staples. read more

I like staples, good service clean and good selection. This location is full of shops and stores but none has copy service like staples or full select of technology products. Give those a try! The tech associates are really knowledgeable and got me the computer I needed. Return policy is good too. read more

Love their printing service, I emailed the document to them, and get the access code, when I arrived at the store, I just went to the station punch in the code and give payment and was out of the store in a couple of minutes. read more

Avoid this store! I went in to buy a printer. I only needed someone to bring it from the back. I spoke to a red shirt person who directed me to first one and then another black shirted "tech" reps. The first was "too busy to help" the second with another customer. I felt bad for the other customer as the advice given did not answer her questions. When available he first was surprised I needed a big printer like the one I selected. He then said he did not think they had any. I mentioned they had 3 based on the online inventory. He checked but could only "find" a defective one. After again mentioning there should be three he went to a terminal but never checked rather choosing to ask "you need this today?" I finally got the message. Self service only. Don't bother the black shirts. I left the store to shop online I will now drive as far as I need to so I can avoid this store. Never in this location again. I have been here time and time again. Rude staff. Although it is the closest one to my location, I try avoiding this location whenever possible. I think the problem is the manager. I once complained about an issue with the cashier and was met by the manager who was even more rude. Very disappointed. read more

The printing service was amazing. One lady named Kyla was so helpful when my daughter rushing into the store at 8:00 am sharp fir her last minute printing this Wednesday. Not only Kyla was listening to her needs tentatively, but also giving ideas to get best printing results. It was a busy morning, when I came back to pick up the booklet, she was serving other customers. She told me that she was almost done except trimming and binding. The booklet was thick, when I saw she was using all her mighty force to press down the big cutter. I was very touched that people genuinely care for others in need, to people they do really know. She patiently waited until I looked through every single pages. She commented that you daughter did a very good job. Sincerely she does not have to compliment anything. She could just move on serving the next in line. That personal touch gave me the warm and fuzzy feeling, as she lightened up my day and my daughter's. It's no wonder why there are so few of them left given the level and quality of service that is provided. When I ask for help, I clearly need help and don't need to be told that I am wrong. Trying to operate a fax machine isn't exactly rocket science - I asked twice whether I needed to Dial "9" first and was told yes yes yes. And it didn't work as you don't need to (as I later found out). The fax machine kept on telling me to hang up and retry but at the same time it kept trying to refax my document three times. I kept trying to cancel the request and refax to another number but I kept on getting the recording. I asked for help a few times and everyone said later. I stood there for a good 5 minutes before someone came to "help" me. Instead of helping me he said I was wrong and the machine is right and walked away. So what should have been a 2 minute task became a 30 minute frustrating ordeal. read more

WORST STAPLES EVER!!!!! NEVER EVER EVER GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!! I bought a macbook pro charger from here and hours later, realized that i found the one that i had thought i lost. when i went to return the item, the manager doing the return stated that he could not process the return because the serial number on the charger did not match the serial number on the box. he informed us to call head office and speak to them about the issue. as it was already 9pm, i left the store and call head office the next day. head office indicated that i should call Apple directly. Once on the phone with Apple corporate, they wondered why staples had asked us to call them, as the product had not been purchased in an Apple retail store. Calling back to staples corporate, they stated that they would not do the return due to the mismatched serial numbers (WHICH WAS ONLY OFF BY ONE DIGIT AT THE END). After weeks of arguing with staples corporate and store managers, the General Manager of the store finally returned from his vacation, only to stand in front of us and indirectly call us liars. He stated that he would absolutely not return the product, regardless of whether they were at fault or not. his reasoning was that these kinds of mistakes "just don't happen" and implied that we must have switched out the charger for a broken one. Having worked for Apple before, I most certainly know that these mistakes do intact happen. At the end of our discussion, the GM decided that the $100 for returning the charger was not worth a lifetime of our business. Yes, I understand that procedures and policies exist... but anyone who has worked in retail will understand that procedures and policies are mere GUIDELINES secondary to your best judgement. It is unfortunate that individuals who have been working in retail for 20+ years (as stated by the GM) are so completely unaware of how to treat customers and the way that business relations work. It's no wonder Staples stores are closing left right and centre. This is not how to treat customers, or to retain business. While I have been to some wonderful Staples locations, this experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I will absolutely NEVER return to this location and hope that you will take my experience to understand the type of poor management and leadership that exists at this location.
