We were using our GPS to walk to this restaurant. When it lead us to a dark, corner street, I was skeptical to keep walking. I saw an arrow sign on the side of an alley wall, and a small banner which had the name of the restaurant. So we kept walking towards the alley and finally saw the place on the left side at the end of that alley.
We were greeted and seated right away at the dining area downstairs. I loved the interiors and the overall look of the restaurant. All the staff members were friendly, polite, and efficient.
We tried:
OCTOPUS- The octopus was cooked perfectly in a very tasty sauce.
O'Rrau- The meat was so tender, the ziti was cooked al dente, and the ragu was fragrant and flavorful.
CANNELE A GGENUVESA- The meat was very tender, the candele was cooked al dente, and the broth was excellent.
LEMON CAKE- It was fluffy, light, and deliciously tangy.
If you have any doubt on whether to keep walking into that small alley or turn around, just go. You will not regret it.
The restaurant was beautiful, charming, and clean. The service was great. Most importantly, the food was fantastic.
Grazie mille!
