Our nightmare is over after 24 days! We hired I Pave Asphalt to repair our concrete driveway and front stoop on December 3, 2016 and the work was to be completed by the end of the next week. We received an estimate and gave Peter Mitchell a down payment of more than half the cost. A couple of men came on Monday to breakup and remove the old concrete and the pour was to take place that Wednesday. In the process of breaking up the concrete, they broke a number of our sprinkler heads and never told us. That was the beginning of our nightmare. They made promises, they would show up for 10-15 minutes and leave; they would throw food wrappers and cups on our lawn and our neighbors'. One of their workers threatened our neighbor with a steel pipe because he asked him not to throw stuff around like that. Making promises and not showing up went on for weeks. Next, we're told that Peter doesn't have the money to pay for the concrete...this after we gave him thousands of dollars. He said his credit was maxed out, his business credit was maxed out and he couldn't pay for it. We, unfortunately, gave him money to cover the concrete so that they could pour last Friday. Well, he called us and told us something broke at the concrete place and they couldn't deliver, but he did cash the check! That was a complete lie as we found out yesterday. He was lying to the concrete company, too. Turns out the only way we were going to get our driveway finished was for my husband to call the concrete company and give him our credit card number so they would release the concrete. There is much more to this story, but I want people to know that this is NOT a reputable company and you should stay away from them. read more
