My family (my husband, 2 daughters and infant) were sat next to a woman and her son. The woman seemed to be having some type of mental episode and her son was also disabled. The son repeatedly stood up and reached over the booth touching my 9yo daughter and my husband. We politely asked him to stop due to us seeing he had a disability. He did not. The mother was speaking in tongues, talking about harming people, and talking to an invisible person beside her. It was frighting for my children. And none of us were able to relax during the meal because we were watching the family beside us. When the woman and her son were finished eating, the woman said someone had stolen her phone from the table and started causing a scene. There was never a phone. She just didn't want to pay. While this whole situation was going on the little boy was literally running around the buffet area and putting his hands into food. All of the chaos caused My daughter to have an anxiety attack. Unfortunately, Where we were seated we couldn't gather up all our children without being in the direct path of this unstable woman. so we were forced to wait it out. Eventually a nice couple offered to pay for the woman's meal and she ended up leaving. I talked to the host and explained that my daughter hadn't eaten due to the stress from the situation and inquired about having that fee removed, she understood and directed me to one of the owners, Frank. I asked if he was an owner, he confirmed and I explained the situation. He said he would take it off. Once I received our bill I saw that he in fact had not. I went back to talk to him and he stated "I took off $2". I asked him why? He stated that my daughter had a piece of cake on her plate. Insinuating that she had eaten a full meal and gotten dessert.. I explained to him that she had not eaten her first plate. Nor had she eaten the piece of cake that I tried to give to her to calm her down due to the whole situation. And also, the little boy had been putting his hands in the food, my daughter was scared and crying, why would we stay and continue to eat after all of that? He told me that he cannot control other guests.. and while I understand that, this is not the first time that woman has been in their restaurant nor acted out. we learned that during the whole situation, apparently they've dealt with her multiple times. If that's the case and they know how she is they should've put her in the area by herself and not endanger other guests. Another man ended up coming up as well as the host and they both said my daughter had not eaten. Everyone seemed to understand the gravity of what had just happened except for Frank. Or maybe he understood he just didn't care. He was rude, condescending, and became disrespectful when he slammed the receipt down in front of me. I know my family of 5 wont really impact this restaurant, but we will never be returning again. The way he handled that whole situation was so disheartening. That woman could've seriously hurt somebody and we were the ones closest to her. Frank acted like I was wrong for not wanting to continue to stay there and simply asking him to remove a child's meal. Horrible behavior. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Sat October 02, 2021, The Country Kitchen This was our first…read morevisit to here and based on the reviews I had really high expectations. When we arrived the parking lot was packed and vehicles were in the overflow area. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated. The table they brought us to had not been wiped down from the previous patrons. Went to the restroom to wash my hands. The men's bathroom certainly could have used attention and the paper towels were out. We all ordered a root beer. All of us agreed the Rootbeer was completely flat and tasted watered down even though they said it came from a 2 liter. The next round we ordered sweet tea. But it was barely sweet and sadly no packets of sugar on the table. During our entire time the waitress didn't remove one dish or glass from the table. We were seated at a small square table and it became very hard to sit and eat properly due to this. Gloves were provided at the buffet serving station. I tried a little bit of most things. 01 Coleslaw, hush puppy. Average on both 02 Grouper sea bass, cat fish. Not much seasoning at all, and very slightly over cooked 03 Sautéed shrimp, very lightly seasoned with what looked like boil seasoning 04 Baked imitation crab, barely seasoned 05 Crawfish, the first batch went through a full seasoned boil and the tails were flavorful for the ones I could actually eat. Quite a few the tail meat was mushy and a very dark gray. The 2nd batch they skipped a formal and proper boil. The meat was flavorless and tasted as if it was simply boiled in water. 06 clam strips and fried scallop pieces, average at best. 07 cheese grits very soupy and not much flavor 08 peel and eat shrimp, decent flavor with a slight lemon undertone. The cocktail sauce was on the table in a red squeeze bottle. 09 banana pudding, I liked it quite a bit 10 Chocolate pudding with wafers, weird chocolate flavor. Everyone at our table pretty much agrees with the assessment of what I just wrote. The building inside and out needs updating. The seafood buffet was I think $24 dollars each or so. Sadly I was pretty disappointed overall and we will not be eating there again. Especially with the waitress leaving everything to stack up and not remove anything at all. We sat at the table for at least 5-7 minutes in a quite obvious manner that we were done. She visited the two table right beside us and never brought the bill. I decided to take it upon myself to just go up to the cash register and tell them what we had. She must have noticed me waiting in line to pay and brought our bill to me.
